Our Members Area now includes updated projections for the remaining matches of the season as a whole and the next six Gameweeks.

Although these were originally devised as pre-season projections, we’ve worked with Chris Atkinson’s Rate My Team model to ensure that we keep them ticking over and have been updating on a weekly basis. We’ll endeavour to keep that up, although our current aim is to implement the full Rate My Team functionality – work continues on that behind the scenes, with the aim to have RMT delivered to our Members for their January Wildcards.

Just to stress that the projections listed are to cover the remaining matches eg: if a player is listed as scoring 10 goals, these are in addition to the goals he may have scored up to Gameweek 4.

I know Barfa is popular on here, and quite rightly too... But at 7.7 he sits in a very awkward price bracket, especially as he was below 6m last season.

Thoughts on Morrison (WBA) as a 6m alternative. Stats are very similar to Barfa considering the 1.7m price difference.

  He had something like 6 points per 90 minutes or something last season though, and is a better player than Morrison.
  Obviously it depends on where the 1.7M goes.

  He is a very awkward price. But I feel he'll be staying in my team for a long time, and as such, is worth the loss of flexibility.
  
  Morrison has the stats on his side, but neither the team nor the raw talent to be able to produce anything near what Ben Arfa can do.

    Maybe I'm not seeing the true value of Barfa as I had him at all the wrong times last season, when he was alot cheaper. But he's not 7.5+ for no reason.
    
    He's in my side currently purely for profit, but I may keep him.

  The thing is Barfa's pretty much OOP. He plays more as a right forward than a right winger. In terms of value I see him as this year's Sess. Morrison isn't a particularly bad pick, but he is playing in a team that has a reputation for defending first and attacking second, something which Clarke is doing very well.

      There is plenty to like about it. And plenty to dislike, mostly the lack of apps. They've been commendably brave in the design, doing something very different (where Android was mostly just a low-fi copy of iOS). But the lack of apps is a killer and I'll have to ditch it in 6 months when I can upgrade to a platform with apps. Until then - I can use FPL on it! Yay!
      
      I got it when it first came out because I work in app design and I already knew iOS and Android inside out. I figured I should get to know the new kid on the block in case clients wanted an app. So far, none have 🙂

      International weeks normally are - because of the high number of wildcards being played plus people taking hits due to boredom/intl injuries there are generally more transfers which leads to more price changes. But the middle weekend is where transfer activity is at its lowest, and price changes at their lowest rate all season.

  There was a decent amount on Saturday/Sunday/Monday. If you wildcarded late, you miss the bulk of transfers. The next wave will come nearer the deadline. We are currently in the void where people have forgot about FPL.

There is plenty to like about it. And plenty to dislike, mostly the lack of apps. They’ve been commendably brave in the design, doing something very different (where Android was mostly just a low-fi copy of iOS). But the lack of apps is a killer and I’ll have to ditch it in 6 months when I can upgrade to a platform with apps. Until then – I can use FPL on it! Yay!

I got it when it first came out because I work in app design and I already knew iOS and Android inside out. I figured I should get to know the new kid on the block in case clients wanted an app. So far, none have 🙂
