Better late then never. In truth, there’s nothing comfortable about this one. We had some nightmarish technical issues that had me tearing at my receding hairline tonight but, we got it done. Just.

The route of the problem was a change of scenery, as Granville and I resorted to staying on home territory to record this latest episode. There was a chance it would end in tears; it almost did.

It is, at least, a bumper episode, with just over 45 minutes of myself and Granville grumbling amidst the regulars on Wednesday evening. With his three point lead at the top of our mini-league, the fact is I couldn’t bear to face my Mancunian rival to discuss the merits of an early wildcards versus points hits, lament the demise of Carlos Tevez and chat about Granville’s night attire.

        He didn't play last season and City won the league. Personally I think Mancini prefers Aguero with Dzeko more than Tevez, and I think we'll see that over the coming weeks.

        No, not at the moment. Worth keeping an eye on though if Maicon is injured (could be quite frequent this season) and Zabaleta is favoured in Europe as he has been the past 2 seasons.

      He has such great fixtures, that if he starts every 3 out of 4 games he is gonna score/assist in each. That means about 18-25 pts in 4 fixtures. Is that worth it?

      Away to West Brom after the int. break, isn't it? Not a great fixture given how well they've defended at home of late (8 clean sheets in their last 10 at home in the league!). I could live with knowing Tevez will almost definitely play that game.

      Don't take a hit for def. Hughes has some ok fixtures coming up. Pienaar could work out tho. I'm going with no eve mids but if you're worried just do it.

    New twist in tevez saga. He is left out of Argentina's squad for WC qualifiers. Zabaleta and Aguero called up.
    Meaning he will be fit and rearing to go after a 2week break after the qualifiers

      Mata's stats are pretty good, once he starts getting the returns he should pick up again. Especially once Chels goes back to the wider play....

          Whatever happens (unexpected transfers, injuries, suspensions (Fellaini) ), don't ask your benching questions more than 5 times in week? Deal?

          Our teams are actually different though, about 8 players same. Though I think I will get Berba and Cazorla soon.

    Like everyone I want another Everton player but not too sure yet if downgrading Hazard is the right option. I know it's a risk but why would DM not play a player in form. Thing is, I quite fancy Kacan this week to bring some points in, so is 3-5-2 the better option and just bench Graham?

    How much of a risk is Puncheon of starting long-term?

      I think so. He and Schneiderling seem absolutely central to Adkin's strategy.

      What returns do you expect @ 4.4?
      Puncheon is not (yet) a solid 90 min man. Like Sterling, he will get you points as a 4th mid, if that's your strategy.

      Guthrie's 2 pointers will be like water to a parched mouth come the time....
