For those Fantasy managers who took part in last weekend’s Fantasy Football Scout Paddy Power Cup VII Third Round, a link to the results can be found here.

This includes the exit of Mark, whose dreams of silverware ended after he lost out in a duel with The Shadow. World number three Iyad Zahlan is the highest ranked remaining Fantasy manager left – he scraped through 36-34 last time out in what was a low scoring round for many.

A quick heads-up for the 128 who have made it through this far. The next round will be played this weekend (Gameweek 15). The upcoming Gameweek 14 round of fixtures which starts this evening will not contribute towards your chances of Scout Cup progress. We are currently sorting the draw for the next round behind the scenes and will roll this out on Thursday morning.

      No, Harry said when he lost him that he was one of the post talented players he'd ever worked with just couldn't find a place at Spurs. He's developed since then and QPR are more reliant on his talents than Spurs were who at the time just had an immensely gifted youngster

      It's not about the reputation of the teams, it's about the quality of their defence for attacking players, and the quality of their attack for defensive players. You also have to anticipate whether the team will park the bus or give it a go though. Not as black and white as fixtures, i agree.

    Some thoughts on Baines.

    Many feel that downgrading Baines will give them more oomph in mid/strikeforce. I'm considering it to get more oomph in defence. If I downgrade Baines, I can combine 2 of the 5-6m defenders with a little tweaking. If Jose Enrique continues his OOP-ness, he will be a very important player with Pool's fixtures and CS potential. Nastasic could also be a very good choice, same with (maybe) Azpilicueta at Chelsea. Problem fo course being that after the mci GW is over for Baines, his fixtures aren't terrible.

    Of course, if I look longer term, I can downgrade Caz -> Walcott and Hazard -> Bale/Mata/Silva (or Jask -> 4m), potentially funding an upgrade of a 4.5 defender to Enrique/Nas/Azp.
