Four games kicking off. Three Derby’s taking place up and down the country. Two of them at the nice early hour of Noon GMT. While one so far invincible side finish the gameweek off with one of their new pretenders to the throne looking to make a statement of intent.

We’ve got it all today; and we’re starting with Birmingham vs. Aston Villa and Sunderland vs. Newcastle with the Dugout Discussion already opening its doors for one and all looking for their Sunday fix…

Sunderland XI: Gordon; Onuoha, Bramble, Ferdinand, Bardsley; Elmohamady, Henderson, Richardson, Malbranque; Gyan, Bent.

Newcastle XI: Harper; Simpson, Coloccini, Williamson, Jose Enrique; Barton, Nolan, Smith, Gutierrez; Best, Ameobi.

Sunderland welcome Nedum Onuoha back into the fray but must still see captain Lee Cattermole and Danny Welbeck on the injury list and unable to make their appearances. Newcastle may have to make do without star striker Andy Carroll this weekend but Shola Ameobi is fit enough to return to the fore and pushing Peter Lovenkrands back to the bench, Jose Enrique also recovers from the flu which previously had him on the sidelines.

Birmingham XI: Foster; Carr, Johnson, Ridgewell, Murphy; Bentley, Ferguson, Gardner, Fahey; Hleb: Derbyshire.

Aston Villa: Friedel, Clark, Dunne, Collins, Walker, Albrighton, Petrov, Reo-Coker, Downing, Carew, Agbonlahor.

Birmingham make a handful of changes as Daryl Murphy comes in for the injured Scott Dann, David Bentley makes his Blues debut with Seb Larsson, rumoured to be joining Newcastle imminently, nowhere to be seen. Matt Derbyshire is rewarded with a role leading the line in place of Cameron Jerome following his FA Cup exploits. Aston Villa meanwhile give a league debut to [potential Fantasy Premier League £4.0m bargain] Kyle Walker as well as calling Marc Albrighton and John Carew into the side once more while Ashley Young sits out suspended.

Only thing left is to wipe the sleep away from our eyes and take in six straight hours of Premier League action.

Andy Leicester won the Premier League. Leicester. Premier League. What is this life? Follow them on Twitter

Rooney was shit today. That's the difference. We'll admit it, not hide away or blame it on te pitch or the horrible northern/championship teams who won't let us play the way we want to play.

Thought spurs were great today, I've a real soft spot for them.

it was a foul yes, but not a booking as he was clearly trying to avoid any contact and was unlucky have accidentally clipped him - didn't stick his leg out to trip him. and yes i'll blame mike dean for this one. tired of everyone saying that we always get the calls in our favor.

    Coleman Kolarov Vidic
    Adam Bale Nani Brunt N'Zogbia
    Torres Tevez(C)

    Foster Evatt Konchesky Carroll

I have 2 free transfers and need help setting up for the DGWs. Thinking of Konchesky > Hughes and Brunt > Nasri. I can only afford Fabregas if I take out Bale.

So now i only hve 5 DGW players next week - essential to bring in another? And what about point hits for more?

Depends who. If you already have Nani, Rooney, Torres, N'Zog & Adam it isn't exactly essential to get in a Fulham defender for the sake of it.

completey depends on the rest of your team and who you would replace. for example in pre-rafael-ite times (about an hour ago) i had 8 doubles but didn't want anymore as it would mean benching nasri, fabs (both home to wigan) or tevez (on the pitch) so wasn't worth it imo.

Same position as me. Damn Rafael.

I can't afford another Man U defender so am looking at Kelly as an option. I would be prepared to take a hit to bring in two, but I would have to sell a core player to make a difference so I am unlikely to do so.

Seeing as United are unbeaten this season and have conceded the fewest goals - yes, it was.

well he did play it to tevez who then scored so really not debateable. but yes very cheap as it was a 3 yarder before tevez then waltzed through 5 players and scored
