No early kick-off, no evening encounter, today is a strange introduction to the Gameweek. We’re take what we’re given though, comforted by Sunday fixture list that boasts a lip-smacking Manchester derby. There’s plenty of returns on offer from today’s events, however, with Michu and an array of Sunderland and Reading assets sporting the armband for many in the three o’clock programme. Our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open to collect your reactions as that select band go to work in the quest to earn us points.

The team news brings us a significant bulletin from the Stadium of Light, with Steven Fletcher, perhaps not surprisingly, omitted from Martin O’Neill’s lineup to face Chelsea. Presumably he’s being preserved for the midweek clash with Reading, a fixture that appears to offer more hope of returns. Even so, Fletcher’s double Gameweek becomes a single: an immediate blow to those who tossed the armband his way.

Elsewhere, Gaston Ramirez only makes the bench for Southampton having flown back from Uruguay in midweek, Bacary Sagna shakes off his ankle injury to replace Carl Jenkinson in the Gunners lineup to face West Brom who themselves make four changes: Liam Ridgewell, James Morrison, Peter Odemwingie and Chris Brunt all start with Goran Popov, Markus Rosenberg and Graham Dorrans making way; Claudio Yacob has a minor hamstring injury.

Victor Moses is again preferred to Oscar in Rafa’s Chelsea lineup at Sunderland; Oriol Romeu retains his place with Mikel suspended, while Frank Lampard is on the bench. Leon Britton is sidelined by a knee injury sustained in training for Swansea, so Wayne Routledge returns to give Michael Laudrup’s side an attacking feel; Danny Graham has recovered from illness and replaces Itay Shechter up front. Their opponents Norwich also make two changes with Russell Martin and Jonny Howson replacing Ryan Bennett and Alex Tettey.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Long before Korean star PSY got America to dance “Gangnam Style,” he had a different rap: Urging the torture and murder of Americans. The portly performer, with his trademark sunglasses and garish suits, is riding an international wave of popularity thanks to his smash hit and accompanying video.

“Kill those f---ing Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives,” PSY rapped on a South Korean band’s 2004 song, “Dear Americans.”

    And more vile verses followed:

“Kill those f---ing Yankees who ordered them to torture.” “Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers.” “Kill them all slowly and painfully.”

Long a star in his native land, PSY has gone global with “Gangnam Style. Children, old people and even politicians have been caught on camera aping PSY’s quirky dance moves.

The rapper said he "will forever be sorry for any pain I have caused by those words."

It was, but playing it safe hasn't worked so far either. I genuinely thought he'd start and come off early, not start on the bench, it seemed illogical for him to have come back. I think he may come up between 45 and 60 mins.

you did, as did others, but plenty advised against it.

I'm not one to blame others when things go wrong, at the end of the day we make our decisions. I thought it was worth the risk. If he comes on late, he could do some damage, if he doesn't get on, I have Michu (vc). That's the thing, if i take a risky (c) punt i always go safe with my vc

I've said it a lot and will again, Oscar is going to be one of Chelsea's best players if they play him more. The lad has more potential than Hazard. As for defensive liability, depends on how you want to play. Obviously Rafa wants more defensive structure and less attacking threat.

Moses has been Chelsea's second best player after Mata recently.

Moses gives us width and doesn't force Mata out wide, where he is ineffective. It was only Nordsjelland but the team looked so much better without Oscar.

Also, he has some upper body strength unlike the rest of our midget attack.

He's obviously a good player but a) as you said it was Nordsjaelland, not really much proof and b) Oscar will certainly and definitely be an awesomely good player. However, if you lads don't want him we at United will gladly take him 😉

No, I like him, he just needs to rotate with Mata in the hole. Playing all three of Oscar, Mata and Hazard doesn't work. It's easy to defend against, you just sit deep and narrow and shut off the space. The only space is out wide which is easy to defend against as we have no arial presence.

Fair enough point Hazmat, hadn't really thought of it like that. Perhaps a completely different shift in formation could be used instead as I honestly believe that Oscar is the type of player who needs a lot of game time, if he gets that the guy is going to be incredible.

Chelsea look better with Moses instead of Oscar. He gives them width whereas Oscar just clogs up the middle with Hazard and Mata who all cut inside. Plus Oscar gets pushed off the ball way too easily.

Moses actually plays a little defence too, not great for us but probably good for rafa. Oscar is terrible defensively

I think it's solely for his defensive play as Rafa wants better defence but that comes at a cost to attack.

Did I say I know it all? My view on it is Moses is being played for a more defensive side and I would have thought Chelsea needed a bit more attacking power if they were to get back to winning games.

I was referring to your calling of a successful manager a "clueless tw*t". I agree it is a questionable decision, but not stupid. He has seen the players in training as well and even in games which I assume you've seen, Moses has played well.

I suppose I am biased as I've watched Oscar for years and personally believe that he could be one of the next massive players in the world. Moses certainly has played well and I won't argue with that. That said, I don't like Rafa as a manager, that's just me I suppose.
