So still umming and arrgghiing over doing my WC this week or next.

This week gives the chance for 2 transfers in GW28
With the internationals though that plan might go completely out of the window therefore is it better to go for WC in GW27?

Hey im having some doubts over RVP and Walcott for the DGW and the fact RVP always gets injured for holland.

My WC team at the moment is...

    Gomez Foster
    Vidic Bardsley Djourou Luiz Higginbothom
    VDV nani Adam Nolan Walcott
    RVP tevez Berba

Dunno if my brother mentioned it yesterday, but Lee Mason was refereeing a school game yesterday! Serious demotion from the farce that was the Arsenal game....

He also gave a penalty to the home side, cue this text from little brother:

'Mason gave us a penalty today. He bloody loved it, it was like being back at Old Trafford.'

    I lol'ed, a lot.

Trying to decide what to do with my free transfer this week. WC next week.

Current team is Foster; Djourou, Vidic, Kolorov (Kelly); Nani, Fabregas, Adam, VDV (Dempsey); Berbatov, Tevez, Odem

    with £1.8m in the bank.

Thinking of benching Odem and transferring out Dempsey for someone, which gives £8.7m to spend. Any thoughts on who to bring in for 1 week, or other suggestions welcome. A Man City midfielder is tempting...

No, but I probably would if their fixtures were not so awful combined with the fact that they might have a blank. I can't get any more information about gameweeks into my head so I just avoid the teams that might have a blank that I don't know about.

Did a quick google on this as that sounded weird and the results I found was that they make 22-40K in their first years but that that can rise to 55K-70K later. Based on UK figures, much lower in the US.

Your thoughts on my below WC team please.

Also, it may be important to know I play in a month to month H2H for specialty beers and this really is my first year ever following any type of futbol outside of the last two world cups. 104.5 to work with and below team leaves me with 0.8 in bank.

    Szczesny (Begovic)

    Huth/Hutton/Kelly/R.Johsnon/Rafael

    Malouda/Brunt/Adam/Fabs/Nani

    Tevez/Berbatov/Odemwinge

My thoughts are that I’m not going crazy on DGWers, can field 11 decent players for week 28 a few of wich are DGWers, and I can get Cahill in for the Malouda spot by GW29 and will have 1 more transfer to use in there in case of epic failure.

    Thank You

We have a pseudo gentleman’s agreement in our wee little league. We kind of had a draft making some players ineligible to others

Robinson, Rooney, Hangeland, VDV, Nasri and are off limits

I have the rights to Rafael, Cahill, Nani, Tevez and Berbs

        so who in for hutton?

        Kolarov in

        Malouda to A. Young?

You've got 8 DGWers which would be fine I think. I don't like Malouda at all. If you take out the first five weeks of the season, what has he done? If you're avoiding GW28 absentees, I would consider Young instead of Malouda or perhaps Cahill if you want a punt on him being back.

yeah van persie has been much more consistent so is probably the bigger risk to take out. although rooney was incredible this week, really looked in top nick, his shot from out the box that nearly got him the hattrick was an absolute screamer. He looked as good as any player can be to be honest.

7 or 8 probably. Definitely not going all out for 11, too many don't have a gameweek in week 28 as you know.

I only had 7 for GW24 and that went alright so hoping the same goes for GW27.

Does anyone think Luiz is worth a punt when the Champions League kicks in again? With him being cup-tied and able to play a couple of positions he could well be used to keep the other defenders fresh for the European games.
I haven't looked too closely into how the CL games fit into the PL schedule but, barring the next three home games, Chelsea have a very nice run of fixtures all the way up to week 35.
Probably best to wait and see how he handles the 'rough and tumble' of the Premier League but does anyone agree with my basic logic? Or is everyone expecting Chelsea to get knocked out by Copenhagen?

Wouldn't that be Joey Barton acting like an ungrateful 'orrible swine. If the shoe fits....
Newcastle gave him a lot of support, it would be typical of the man to throw that back in their faces.

When Hangeland rises tonight i'll have an extra 0.1 to play with..

I currently have Vidic, Hangeland & walcott(just got him for PR) and that 0.1 would give me enough for Rafael, Kolarov & A Young, that sound good?

Ditch Berbatov. He'll sulk when Wolves kick lumps out of him. And Rooney won't let him have the ball next week in the Manchester derby.
In contrast Tevez will score 4 this week against the worst defence in the league. Then run his little heart out for some bonus points and at least one goal the following week.

Ha cheers for the advice! Yeah I think probably Berba out but it would mean taking a 4 point hit to do Reina to Foster this week to make cash. Minileague leader has Torres too, no Berba.
