Akers makes his debut on our latest ScoutCast offering, joining us as our third wheel fresh off the back of the most miserable Gameweek points return imaginable. The Scout Picks were to blame apparently – a cunning excuse that I really should keep in reserve; it certainly seemed to keep Mark’s acid tongue at bay.

The new boy isn’t just on board to present his excuses; he’s here to introduce the launch of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup – another chance for the Fantasy Football Scout team to embarrass ourselves with an early exit.

Elsewhere things tick along as expected, with the “All Aboard” appraising the value of this week’s most tempting bandwagons, whilst examining the seemingly infectious condition of jerky knee when it comes to Mr Bale and Mr Carroll. The weekend preview finds Mark adopting a most uncomfortable position; sandwiched between two United fans before he’s forced to abandon the duty free and beach towels to make way for an overly generous selection of Fantasy Island Risks.

Grab these latest random rants right here and search out previous episodes via this link.

Or alternatively, stream the noise below from the comfort of FFS towers.

    Morning Lads,

Little defender dilemma, Can't decide which three to play out of:

    1_ShawX

    2_Alex

    3_Samba

    4_Alcaraz

    5_Jara

I sort of like the looks of all of them this week!

quick question for those in the know, if you make 3 changes and lose 8 points then activate your wild card to you still lose the 8?

    Cheers

It was asking for trouble playing the Ryder Cup in October and, more importantly, in Wales! I mean seriously, when does it not rain in Wales?! Ah well, hopefully it means it will now finish on Monday... Am going to the Chelsea game on Sunday so am set to miss the final day....

Getting round to listening to the podcast now... Good to know that the people who run the site at least sound like 'normal' people!!! 😉

Not enjoying hearing Akers pronounced as A-kers.... Poor form.

P.S. People need to start selling Fabregas!!

selling Fabs would be appreciated people - I've made my .1 on Gerrard now.

Bad weather was always expected for today so no complaints really, just a shame to see the good start go to waste as the Yanks can now re-group.

So whats the team looking like for this week then boss - between Tevez and Gerrard for the band this week for me.

Do you not have Drogba? I'm giving him the armband ahead of Gerrard and Tevez.... He loves playing vs Arsenal, Vermaelen isn't playing and he'll be on every set piece... He's the safest pick out of the three IMO.

      Foster
      Acole Samba Jara
      Malouda Davies Nani Bale
      Drogba Carroll Torres

      (Gohouri Konchesky Cleverley)

I think Davies/Carroll need to go, especially since you have a wildcard next week.. I think Carroll->Odemwinge could prove fruitful or possibly cleverley to Nzogbia..

Davies/Carroll are the weak links in the 11 imo

A nice fact for non Torres owners:

Torres completed 0 of his 5 dribbles vs Utrecht, sent all 3 shots wide and had the lowest passing accuracy on the pitch (53%). And... he's suspected to be injured (again).

I'm glad my gut instincts told me to stay clear of buying him.

Right, narrowed it down to 4 options:

a.) AJ out for Petrov (4 points)
    b.) AJ out for N'Zogbia (4 points)
c.) AJ out for Davies (4 points)
    d.) Do nothing (0 points)

    What say you?
To punt or not to punt?

    Current team:

    Carson (Robinson)
    Faye Jones Mummy (Knochesky, Perch)
    Malouda Bale Nani BenArfa (Fabs)
    Drogba Tevez Odemwinkie
    0.2 in bank

Knee jerked this week and took out Caroll mainly because i have ben arfa and him together with Winkie rotate perfectly for that final mid/attacking berth.

im looking to do the same trick with krul and carson too but my most pressing concern is the fact that i might actually have to play Perch this week if faye does not start.

what chances are they that he will? is it worth a 4 pointer to bring in coleman (he's on my radar anyway) for Faye and deal with Perch when Newcastle next play away
