Bale's inconsistency is wildly exagerated.
Not if you look at his scoring history. The 'explosiveness' means he can have several weeks of zero or 2, and then suddenly make up all the ground on Mata in one match.
At any rate, I have resolved to hold and just enjoy owning him, prob for the rest of the season
If you are pondering transferring Bale in, wait for the injury all clear and do it tonight before he rises.
He will rise again before the next game, so waiting until after the second leg for the all clear will cost you another 0.2 million.

He's had the best goal threat stats all season, and some of the best scores. And you never have to sub him out.

say you have a player you've been carrying but he doesn't play, and there's always something more urgent to do and you don't get rid. at what gameweek do you just say, ok, you'll keep him for rest of season?
I would always try to avoid real dead weight, but without having any other data on the player or my squad:
8 million or more = never.
6-8 million = gameweek 36
less than 6 million = gameweek 35
Less than 5 million = gameweek 33.

2 playing points = approx half a goal. If you're getting them you can forget about them, but it's a lot of points to miss out on.
bale means you probably won't see this, but those 2 points only come in if said player plays, whereas he generally wouldn't.
