The team news is in and sees Daniel Sturridge handed the chance to lead the line for the hosts, having recovered from a thigh injury. Brendan Rodgers gives Philippe Coutinho his first start, with Liverpool lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The big news comes courtesy of Michael Laudrup’s team selection. Michu merely warms the bench for the Welsh outfit, with the Swans boss clearly keeping one eye on next weekend’s Capital One Cup final against Bradford.
