Wayne Rooney may have been ruled out by most following Sir Alex Ferguson’s Thursday press conference but today he’s back in training and may yet come into the reckoning for the Loftus Road trip. United’s title rivals, City, are forced to check on the fitness of both Vincent Kompany and Gareth Barry for their clash with Chelsea, according to Roberto Mancini.

Meanwhile, down in the capital, Joey O’Brien, George McCartney and James Collins are all back in training for West Ham ahead of Monday’s home match with Tottenham. Loic Remy has trained for QPR over the last couple of days and “looks okay” ahead of United’s visit, revealed Harry Redknapp earlier this morning. The forward will continue to be assessed, though, with the R’s boss still undecided whether to field him.

Back up North and Danny Rose is ruled out with a hamstring injury for Sunderland, while skipper Lee Cattermole is unlikely to recover from a knee problem in time for the trip to West Brom. Alan Pardew remains hopeful that Tim Krul will be available for Newcastle’s home clash with Southampton. The Magpies keeper faces a scan on his ankle, though, after picking up a problem in last night’s Europa League win over Metalist.

Victor Anichebe remains ”a bit of a doubt” for Everton’s trip to Norwich, though Seamus Coleman may come into contention for the Toffees after returning to training. The home side will check on both Alex Tettey and Andrew Surman ahead of the Toffees visit.

All this and more is collected and collated in our team news section, where you’ll also find our updated predicted lineups.

We’ll be factoring today’s updates into the Rate My Team model very soon, with the Projections updated in the next couple of hours.

We’ll keep you informed of any new information via our twitter feed, as always.

    Hey folks

Here is my team (1 FT):

    Begovic

    Enrique, Demel, Tomkins, Harte, Davies

    Mata, Bale, Walcott, Fellaini, Michu

    RVP, Lambert, Suarez

I'm thinking of the following for a -4:

    Out: Suarez & Enrique
    In: Aguero & Evans

    Thoughts please?
    Thank you

all id consider is the keepers, sometimes one gets married to the idea of home/away rotation, when one keeper has proven to be more reliable for 2+ points regardless of CS.

Im pegging dempsey to get the start up top for Spurs Monday. now if i only had the courage to drop fellaini for him. 8 YCs, with my luck id keep afro around for the likely DGW only to see him get a ban.

Good you've recovered, must have been pretty bad if you were out for months. Reading your returning post I think it's great how it all built up to returning to FPL. You even got a mate to make your transfers from hospital.

thank you so much. there was a point where i thought id never get better. i feel like a brand new person, will still throw my laptop at the wall 5 minutes into the GW, but feeling much better.

Another mate commented on my return when i left a trademark cynic laced rant on facebook when he said "He's back ladies and gentleman"

            I replied, "I haven't changed who I am, just how I am" 😉

    Alright chaps and chapettes!

    Federici • Begovic
    Turner • Clyne • (Demel • GJ • Davies)
    Bale • Mata • Walcott(c) • Puncheon • (Michu)
    RVP(vc) • Berbatov • (Suarez)

1 FT, 0.0 in the bank

Suarez and GJ to Debuchy and Aguero for a 4 point hit sound OK?

Would get Evans, but I could be stuck with too many blanks for GW29, and I can't afford just Suarez to Aguero.

        What a shame 😉

Speaking of mind games though, wonder if it's a double bluff. I know United went to great pains to restrict photographic access to their training ground (unlike City) - SAF at one point joked that when photographers were takings snaps from the forest they put wolves there. Surely he wouldn't let Rooney be seen in fighting shape if he was planning to start him?

It's fair to say that this is the aspect of FPL I like the least.

If only we had managers giving us line-ups the day before like Ancelotti (was it him??).

It's possible he could miss the next 3 (sinus, rest for CL, blank).

sounds like wishful thinking to me. QPR's CS record is very deceptive. They gave up a ton of shots at goal and with even average finishing in those games wouldn't have kept even 1 CS on average. Their luck will run out sooner or later and Man U will have better than average finishers.

Repost for anyone that missed my post earlier:

STREET NEWS: Wayne Rooney spotted geting on a train to London from Macclesfield station at 3pm.

Yes folks, it as him. As I got off at Macc, he was coming down the steps to board the train. He was wearing ManU training gear with "DHL" plastered on it. A guy was with him holding a suit carrier and a overnight bag.

I said "Alright Wayne!" and he smiled and nodded before getting on the train. All the people on the platform went all giddy....

So they you go. He's off to London it seems.

This is Chrissy Waddle, Chesire News reporting! 😉

The train was going to London Euston, so he's off down south. Unless he decided to get off at Stoke for some sightseeing! 😉

Had training gear on, so can only guess he was having some treatment/seeing a specialist near Macc before heading south.

Looks good for being involved tomorrow. I don't have Rooney but thought Giggs Boson might find it interesting.! 🙂

        If it's a joke I don't get it!

Thinking of not bringing Wilson in for Davies (would be for free), saving a transfer and fielding 10. Don't see the point of wasting a FT for a likely 1-2 points. That way I have the option of either selling Davies next week or using the transfer on more pressing issue!

It'll be the same for most if guess so nothing to worry about really.. I'll probably end up captaining Sturridge which is a bit scary.

    Begovic
    Rafael Onuoha Bertrand
    Mata Bale Puncheon Walcott
    RVP Fletcher

    Sturridge Michu Enrique Davies

Safe to say Bertrand's 90 min in the europa has scuppered his slim chance of points this week.

Worth a -4pt hit to get Sissoko or Evans?

I have dawson, demel, onuoha and shaw.
