As tomorrow’s deadline edges ever-closer, Fantasy managers are turning to a couple of bustling Belgians in their droves as we attempt to ride out a tricky six-match Gameweek. Second and third for forwards in terms of transfers in so far, Romelu Lukaku and Christian Benteke both look strong mid-price options with games against Swansea and Reading respectively. With five goals apiece in their last six appearances, the duo have been in prolific form of late – we cast an eye over their statistics in this latest article for members:

Anyone else thinking all this talk about Rooney going/staying, his skills have diminished, no, his skills are the same, will only lead to one thing?

An explosion of points in the run in? Point proven from Shrek?

    I think so.

He will explode if he is given the CS spot ahead of RVP. Which is very unlikely.

Saniul, I think you've got it wrong there. He's not really a holding midfielder. And he's scoring a lot, it's just that the bandwagon hasn't picked up yet. He's a great pick tbf, and we win a lot of penalties too. And his penalty kicks are just too good.

    OK (concise) repost

Hi guys, would really appreciate some input with this weeks transfer(s)

I have 10 starting hopefully this week and 2 FT. 0.0mil in the bank.

    Bego (Turnbull!)

    Enrique, Wilson, Harte, Clyne. (azpili)

    Sissoko, Bale, Michu, (Fellaini, Walcott)

    Suarez, Sturridge, (RVP)

Obviously wanna try to carry 2FT into next week for DGW announcements

    Thinking either
A: Bego to Bunn or Turn to Bunn
    or
B: RVP to Lukaku then Sturridge to RVP next week
    or
C: Fellaini to cheapo (maybe punch)

    What say ye?

The Golden Boot is the main reason given and it's plausible, you have to wonder how much that sways SAF though. Or even RVP, who won it last year. Surely SAF could also see lots of no-pressure games as a golden chance to get the rest of his squad trying out stuff for next year?

We'll have two weeks of monitoring for that. As I said, it sounds very stupid right now.

None of our midfield bar Carrick are nailed on enough IMO.

I can get Lamps in for Fellaini next week, but I'll have to take Remy over Benteke this week, as with Benteke I'd have to sell Fella to Maloney to have enough cash.

Remy's a good pick too. Though I'm not a fan of his stats yet, QPR are surely dependent on him now.

Would like your views on my team for this week guys:

    Bunn (Mignolet)

    Davies Shaw Debuchy Harte (Evans)

    Sissoko Bale(c) Michu (Mata, Walcott)

    Lambert Sturridge (RVP)

Took one 4 point hit. Bank: £3.8m.

    Thanks in advance!

LOL, I had to take one hit to field 10 players. Don't think another hit is necessary. Got a decent team value but this year has been hard for me in terms of FPL as was job hunting and had no time to follow it much like last season.. Hopefully I can only improve from now on 😉

He's playing with 10 men, has no Suarez, no Benteke, no Remy, no Lukaku, no Gerrard, a Saints defender and a Reading defender.

        Hit away!!!

Well yea I suppose, but so are most people regardless of this week mate.

Most have the likes of Mata, RVP, Rooney, Theo, Haz and company on the benches waiting to go, and, with fixtures so juicy next week, it should be a huge gameweek for points.

A rading defender that almost always delivers an assist though. Don't get Gerrard love lol.

Who is the best Long Term DEF?

    A) Debuchy - not sure about NEW can keep clean sheet.
    B) Dawson - 4.6 Big Team but Hard fixtures.
    C) Turner - 4.2 with Light fixtures and can save money for ATK but I hv Bunn/De Gea

I'd go A now HBA is back, better chance of attacking returns from Debuchy as they link up very well together for France. If they can do that for us, you could be laughing

Occam's razor (also written as Ockham's razor, Latin lex parsimoniae) is a principle of parsimony, economy, or succinctness used in logic and problem-solving. It states that among competing hypotheses, the one that makes the fewest assumptions should be selected.

I think a few people should read this before they make their selections.

Good call on Elliott, but I fancy Stoke to get a pen or free kick goal in. Colo is out and they haven't been solid at the back for some time. 3-1 Newcastle.

    My Scout Picks

    3-4-3

    Elliot
    Enrique Martin Harte
    Bale Sissoko Gerrard Michu
    Suarez Lambert Lukaku

I imagine Mark will go with Johnson over Enrique, although I think Enrique is a better value pick overall.

I have 6 of these, but have Pearce instead of Harte.
