That’s it, the deadline has passed and all we can do now is sit back and enjoy. Whether this gameweek, or indeed this Saturday can go anywhere near replicating the exhilaration we had last week, we start with a game of huge significance.

It’s the second Manchester derby of the season, and with just a dozen or so games left in the season, a win for United will probably end City’s title ambitions, whereas the reverse will blow it wide open. A draw seems likely (I’m going for a United win, obviously), but let’s just hope it easily betters their previous meeting at Eastlands. Either way, enjoy the action as it unfolds in our Dugout Discussion Chatroom.

The build-up has already started on the telly and, more importantly than Dwight Yorke’s poor effort with his usually dazzling attire, the team sheets from Old Trafford are in, and the big news is that top-scorer Dimitar Berbatov is dropped to the bench…

Man Utd XI: VDS, O’Shea, Smalling, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, Scholes, Anderson, Nani, Giggs, Rooney

Man City XI: Hart, Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Zabaleta, Milner, Barry, Silva, Yaya Toure, Kolarov, Tevez

A five-man midfield is not just bad news for the neutrals hoping for an open game, but critically for those fantasy managers that held onto Berbatov. Elsewhere, fantasy bargain Rafael is benched for the incoming John O’Shea, and Chris Smalling partners Nemanja Vidic in defence as expected. City once again utilise Aleksander Kolarov on the left in midfield.

Once the dust has settled in Manchester, we have six 3pm fixtures to enjoy, before Tottenham travel to Sunderland in our evening game.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

Nani's first touch for that goal makes it almost as good as Rooney's in my opinion.

A truly outstanding goal from Wayne, better than the Newcastle strike, more dramatic than the Owen goal, just wow.

I was speechless watching it. Crucial win.

    I'm absolutely delighted.

In all fairness Nani in the last 12 months basically since he played Arsenal away last season has been immense.

Got to say he has completly surprised me. This time last year i would have given huge odds for where he is now.

My rival is such a lucky b@stard. Nani as his first sub who comes in for the injured Gerrard...

Not to mention he's used the annoying second wildcard to make his team effectively the same as mine! Poor addition to the rules that.

I'm sorry ... were many saying they were sh!te last week? They certainly played like sh!te - and fair play to Wolves they played 'immensely' themselves -

I think you're confusing reality vs. FPL opinions ... even if 'they' did leave United's out of their team.

Mike Summerbee you bitter old git. You gave us a game but the greater class wins out. Absolutely sensational goal from Rooney just like Denis Law. Anyone who says he didn't have a good game should watch how he worked his socks off against 2 centre backs. All game he was fairly isolated. Nani brilliant first goal. Smalling was immense, didn't put a foot wrong, Evra and Giggs as usual were top class.

Rooney wasn't great but he certainly wasn't dire, up on his own against 2 CBS. It's all very well being a Utd hater, and I can understand being annoyed at Utd fans on here, but coming out with bollox just to counteract what they say makes you look like a mug.
