With a healthy bundle of cash now in sight, the Scout League leader agonisingly slips a few more points behind but, with four Gameweeks to go, the glittering prize is still within his grasp. We cast an eye over the Scout league standings and check on the market trends in the Sky Sports game, whilst sneaking our way into the Fantasy Football club dressing room ahead of tonight’s episode.
The Scout League
While Chris Pearce continues to dominate the Scout League table, our leader lost ground in the battle for overall prize. Robin Van Persie’s devastating hat-trick had little impact on the top of the rankings as Chris’ “UtakaDefoeKingPearce” lineup slipped to 22 points behind Simon Ward in the race for the £25k. Presumably, there were Van Persie armbands all round, then and, with just a handful of Gameweeks remaining, it’s starting to get tense as Chris gives chase.
Back in the Scout League, Paul McAnulty and his “Housewives Favourite” squad remain in second, some 52 behind on 2060 points, while Pascal Evans’ “Covport” remain in third spot on 2045. Neil Fleeson’s “Roumeli Rangers” climbs into fourth, jumping above Chris Tuck’s “Vuvuzela Symphony” and Pascal’s second “Covport” squad.
Those six are all placed in the top 20 overall rankings, helping the Scout League maintain top spot in the Private League rankings. We’re now 31 points ahead of the nearest rival.

Market Trends
Gareth Bale’s return to fitness and, almost inevitably, the scoresheet, has seen him established as the hot property this week. Bale gathered 15 points from Sunday’s victory over City and has been transferred back into squads as part of over 10% of the deals done – almost double that of the next most popular player, Robin Van Persie. The Dutchman rocketed to the top of the form charts with Monday night’s hat-trick – he’s now returned 42 points in the last four Gameweeks.
With Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney and Christian Benteke ranked next in the popularity stakes, it’s obvious that Sky Sports managers have been focusing on their forward lines.
That’s clearly due to Luis Suarez’s suspension. The Uruguayan has been sold as part of 24% of the trades made off the back of his 10-match ban. Santi Cazorla is next, cast aside as part of 7% of transfers made over the past seven days – clearly his recent run of scant returns has taken its toll, despite the fact that the Spaniard remains the top value player in the game. Cazorla has returned almost 35 points per million this season for his 6.7 price tag. Bale has been the popular replacement in midfield, although Michu has also earned a host of new owners ahead of his double Gameweek, while both Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata have also seen ownership increase this week.
The Fantasy Football Club – Tonight 10pm
