Everton’s penalty shoot-out victory over Chelsea this afternoon -more on this game and other fixtures to come in the Cup Notes to follow- means they have duly qualified for the fifth round of the FA Cup. Congratulations to them.

More importantly for Fantasy Managers, this now means that the previously reported fixture upheaval has been avoided. With Chelsea now out of the FA Cup, their (already once postponed) fixture at home to Manchester United will stay in place and be played out on the evening of Tuesday March 1. United now keep their double fixture in gameweek 28 as a result, with an away trip to Wigan next weekend, followed by the Stamford Bridge clash days later.

Most will have probably predicted, planned and expected Chelsea to come out their fourth round replay as victors and see this double gameweek nullified; Fantasy Managers now need to prepare for United’s double, while Chelsea are back in the gameweek hat having dodged involvement in the dreaded “blank gameweek”.

Everton’s progress to the fifth round has no impact on their fixtures right now. They will play out their fifth round tie with Reading on March 1 – this will not disrupt their double fixture in gameweek 29 (new&BIR).

Ive made a bit but really not fussed about value now.

If Rooney gets 2 v wigan then you look a bit stupid for worrying about losing .2 on rvp

I have Tevez, Odemwingie and RVP. It would be silly to keep RVP for the sake of .3 million when hes not playing and the other guys are.

A lot will depend on Adam though (whether he picks up that booking or not), I might go Rooneyless... (but dont want too)

So if he wasn't trying to gain an advantage, why did he throw himself to the ground in the first place?

The moment he dived he was trying to con the ref, everything he did after that is irrelevant.

I don't think it should be allowed to dive and then admit it to get away with it once you realize that you won't get the advantage though, I don't think that is how the rules are meant to be interpreted.

Or, maybe he just got tired and thought he would take a break and throw himself to the ground for a little rest? Therefore not a dive! That one sound better? Haha calm down and take defeat like a man.

Trust me, I'm the least upset I've been about a Chelsea defeat in ages. I like Everton and am so disillusioned with Chelsea at the moment that I don't really give a shit.

But, in my eyes Baines should have been given a second yellow, and no one has been able to properly dispute that yet.

I dont know what the big deal is anyways, I mean even if Man U didnt have a double, they are playing Wigan which is a gold game anyways, having them play a 2nd game is just a cherry on top. Either way tho it would have been a good GW to have Man U coverage.

Would Scholes and Berbatov play both games?
    I'm considering
    Skrtel out Walker in
    VdV out Scholes in
    Odemwingie out Berbatov in
4 point hit. Probably won't end up doing it as it would be such a short term move.

True enough I suppose. If I got Rooney it would mean a lot of fecking around to get the funds together so I'll probably leave it.
Still going to do Skrtel out for Walker (not sure Rafael would play both and he'd be the only one I could afford) and probably VdV out for Cahill which was my original plan.
