Everton’s penalty shoot-out victory over Chelsea this afternoon -more on this game and other fixtures to come in the Cup Notes to follow- means they have duly qualified for the fifth round of the FA Cup. Congratulations to them.

More importantly for Fantasy Managers, this now means that the previously reported fixture upheaval has been avoided. With Chelsea now out of the FA Cup, their (already once postponed) fixture at home to Manchester United will stay in place and be played out on the evening of Tuesday March 1. United now keep their double fixture in gameweek 28 as a result, with an away trip to Wigan next weekend, followed by the Stamford Bridge clash days later.

Most will have probably predicted, planned and expected Chelsea to come out their fourth round replay as victors and see this double gameweek nullified; Fantasy Managers now need to prepare for United’s double, while Chelsea are back in the gameweek hat having dodged involvement in the dreaded “blank gameweek”.

Everton’s progress to the fifth round has no impact on their fixtures right now. They will play out their fifth round tie with Reading on March 1 – this will not disrupt their double fixture in gameweek 29 (new&BIR).

              Avoid uksoccershop i ordered a shirt from there once they sent the wrong one. I contacted them about it and they said that they knew theyd sent the wrong one but had sent a 'similar' one incase i was happy to accept that one! Ridiculous. It gets worse, allow me to continue. I said i wasnt happy to accept that one and asked if i could send it back they said yes, simply fill out the returns form in the parcel we sent you. There was no returns form. I told them this and they said you can print one off on our website. The link to the printable form didnt work. I emailed them about this. They didnt email me for four days. In that email was a returns form which i had to use my printer ink to print out. My refund arrived in my bank account on the latest possible date that they quoted it would without the costs i incurred to return it in the refund, which they said they would refund. I emailed them and they sent me the cost of the return in a cheque!

                  I eventually got it via the shaktar donetsk website for just under twice the price (£50) its a lovely shirt so im pleased with it but ive literally never experienced a website like uksoccershop. May they burn in hell.

                Sorry forgot to mention. The shirt id originally ordered wasnt in stock and their supplier was no longer supplying it. So just to add to their woeful customer service they were also advertising a shirt on their website as in stock and for sale that they couldnt possibly ever sell me. Cowboys.

                    I reckon you'd probably be ok using uksoccershop for a new nasri shirt. They'll easily be able to stock it and it will be relatively popular. I guess i just have a personal vendetta against them lol

          Maybe it's a good reason, I do what I have to-do without thinking twice. I fellow the real game based on the performance not a none since b@llcks talk from you. fair enough I didn't read about this rule but I do know how to play the GAME

            I find it hard to understand exactly what youre saying but it seems like you are saying im talking bollocks. Slightly unfair. All i did was question how someone who hasnt read the rules has a good rank. Hardly talking bollocks. In any game id expect someone who hasnt read the rules to perform badly. Is this an unfair expectation?

    Poyet on the stoke defeat.

    Brighton boss Gus Poyet had no complaints about the outcome and felt that his players had learned a lesson in trying to deal with City's threat in the air.
    "I came here with Tottenham, so I knew what was coming," he explained. "I remember that Heurelho Gomes was left crying on that occasion.

        Ive never been able to understand gomes' thought process as a youngster. Il act as his brain for a moment. 'well i cant catch, im clumsy, im a really quite terrible decision maker, i find it very hard to concentrate for long periods of time.... Sod it im going to be a goalkeeper'. Bizarre.

        I cant swim very well, im scared of sharks/other scary sea creatures, i sunburn easily..... Sod it il become an australian lifeguard.

    Does this sound like the best move for me this week?

    Stockdale & Fabs -> VDS & Cahill (4 point hit). Will give me 3 Man u players for the double and can also field 11 (assuming the 11 start).

    Current squad is:

    Foster, Stockdale
    Djourou, Coleman, Rafael, Kelly, Bosingwa
    Fabs, VDV, Nani, A Young, Adam
    RVP, Tevez, Wingie

      Delighted that Vettori got some points for having a good economy rate!

      Devastated that Peter Ongondo didn't playing, although thinking back it's probably a positive thing as he'd have just got -ve points like the rest of his side.

      Coleman's worth it despite the recent form slump, he's cheap for a nailed on OOP with geat fixtures. I'm keeping him for the season.

      I've been looking at Bily but i don't know much about the Everton starting lineup for coming weeks, I assume he won't continue to start.

        Thanks guys - Yeah he looks to be in favour but not 90 mins with osman hanging off him for that spot as well also fellaini a solid 90 minute player but the guy is capable of a yellow card in the warm up

        I got him in with my wildcard after resisting all season up til then.

        Tossed up with him and Baines but really couldn't justify spending £7.5m on a defender after I had jettisoned Vidic and Cashley a few weeks back. Coleman still capable of the odd assist, goal and will get cleanie points.

        I think his spot in the lineup is pretty safe too.

        Cahill is the one I'm not too sure about actually. Not sure he's ready for the DGW.

    So I should probably get in a Man U player this week for the double GW right?...which is best of these options given my squad (shown below) and my 1 free transfer:

    a) Stockdale & Fabs -> VDS & Cahill (4 point hit)
    b) Fabs & Wingie -> Arteta & Berbatov (4 point hit)
    c) Fabs & Bosingwa -> Cahill & Vidic (4 point hit)
    d) something else

    Foster, Stockdale
    Djourou, Rafael, Coleman, Kelly, Bosingwa
    Fabs, Nani, VDV, A Young, Adam
    Tevez, RVP, Wingie

                Yeah will have to monitor Adam/VDV. Swaying towards a) as it gives me the potential to field 11 in GW28 and gives me an extra double for GW28 and GW29. Also gives me good rotation with Foster for the rest of the season. Any other juicy options stand out TM?
