Since the turn of the year, it seems that Fantasy Premier League (FPL) has been all about Robin Van Persie. Seven league games have harvested a haul of 10 goals, 2 assists and 15 Bonus Points, with the Dutchman failing to collect Bonus on just one occasion -in the nil-nil home game with Man City- which is, coincidentally, the only game Arsenal have failed to score in since the end of December.

It’s been an extraordinary two months for the Arsenal man, capped off recently with the Gunners’ equaliser in the 2-1 Champions League win over Barcelona. A look at our Members’ OPTA stats for forwards over these past two months not only confirms Van Persie’s form, it also highlights those players who have also been on top of their game and those who need to turn it up a notch.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    I made my Fabregas to Cahill change and had to watch how Cahill went on yellow. Are there any certain new I missed or is this just a general doubt when he got changed last weekend with an ankle injury?

    I also decided to play with 10 players (if Cahill plays!) this week and don't take another 4 point hit for Dejourou to Evra as Dejourou will hopefully stay in Arsenals defence line for the next few games (btw you don't know this for certain, don't you?).

      Everton official website suggests Cahill will play - note the last line.

      "Louis Saha and Jack Rodwell could be back in contention for the visit of Sunderland, according to manager David Moyes.

      Rodwell (groin) is on the way back following an injury picked up on England Under-21 duty while Saha will hope to feature having missed the last two weeks after picking up a hamstring injury in training. Otherwise, the Blues are at full-strength."

    sorry for the re post got lost at bottom of last post.

    i’ve my free transfer of adam > meireles done but still only fields me 9 players

    Begovic (FOSTER)
    huth kolarov coleman kelly (R JOHNSON)
    nani meireles (FABREGAS VDV WALCOTT)
    tevez odemwingie (RVP)

          Just don't see a massive points return. Rooney might knock a penalty in but he's playing far too deep to warrent spending 11.6 on him. As for berba, i'd only bank on him at home.

      Look at it this way

      playing 9 is a 4 point hit anyway (2x2points)
      you've got nothing to lose by putting in rooney or berba, as they are pretty much going to return 4ponts over 2 games.
      Sale thing with an everton player for the next two weeks.

      don't worry, get that team filled up - your bottom line will sink a little, but at least you'll have a chance of making profit

        sorry, i can't type as i had anaphalactic shock yesterday.

        basically. 9 players - 0 points for empty slots

        new player cost 4. either everton or united players will make this up + hopefully some extra in next 2 weeks.

        so you really have little to lose by filling the slots.

    Planning:
    VDV, Fabregas and Adam out
    Young, Cahill and Silva in
    8 point hit

    This allows me to field 11 this week. Money isn't an issue so can afford any mid price midfielders. Fed up with the fragility of Fabregas and VDV and can always buy them back if necessary. My other mids are: Barton and Nani.
    Thoughts?

    Adam sale has not been as high as I expected. People may now have more priorities elsewhere to shift out, e.g. Walcott, VDV, and RVP.

    It’s funny that FPL just Yellow flagged Cahill today. His price is due to rise tomorrow and I’m tempted to get him now.

    Not Worth a risk, right?

          I've preferred Rooney over Berbatov whenever having to make that decision this season. This is mainly due to penalties, but also I'd have to begrudgingly admit I was still thinking of his returns for me last year.

          To be honest, it's largely failed. The only week it went very well is when I captained him vs. Villa and had my best GW of the season.

          When Berba goes mental it is frustrating but at least Rooney has been chipping in with assists and the odd goal. Key is to be on Berba for when he explodes and ditch him for his likely 1/2pointers which are also frequent.

          I've gone for Rooney (C).

        Hi, Big Dunc. Hope you're well.
        What do you think of Bily's chances next three games or so? Is he getting in the right positions? Will he start these games more importantly?!

    fabregas > a.young
    adam > cahill

    (4 point hit)

    given that puts me with a full XI, that makes sense right?

      Yes as of now unless that yellow flag terrifies people.

      Btw, according to this, should we conclude that CAHILL fit?

        I'm assuming he is, but bringing him in leaves me with 0.0 so I need to make sure I get him in before his price rise :\ i'm probably going to do it today.

        I don't think so, not mentioned specifically that he has recovered from a knock, so it is safe to say that we still don't know in my view

    So is Saha looking like he is most definitely out or what? With current form I am tempted by him instead of Cahill now, but both have their own injury issues

      As above, Saha looking more of a doubt than Cahill but both could still play.

    What a p*sstake. Some bloke on FISO (organdonor47) actually emailed FPL about Cahill being a doubt because he didn't want him to rise tonight so seemingly got him flagged.

        I'd rather win the Europa League than the League so long as we beat Celtic in every old firm game ; )

    Hmm, which you reckon is better?

    a) GW28: Bosingwa, Fabs & RVP -> Kolarov, Cahill & Berbatov (8 point hit)
    GW29: Wingie -> Saha

    or b)
    GW28: Fabs & RVP-> Cahill & Rooney (4 point hit)
    GW29: Wingie & Rafael -> Saha & R Johnson (4 point hit)

      Kolarov as he is playing OOP at times, and because I just don't think you will want Silva in your team for long, whereas Kolarov is a keeper

              replying from above. you have a poor team at the minute. Advocats team was good. not one of your players now would be first team during that time. do you think ally will make a difference? I think he is taking over at the wrong time.

    might make an 8 point hit to field 11

    Fabs to Cahill
    Lennon to A Young
    RVP to Rooney

    worth it?

    i dont think Fabs or RVP wil be risked against Sunderland

    Odemwingie > Saha

    Then Fabregas back in for Silva next week?
