Surely I wasn't the only one who had Lambert lined up to replace Lukaku this week?

Are you still going ahead? Or concerned by Osvaldo signing?

Yep, me too and still going ahead with it, Osvaldo will take time to adjust and may not start v Sunderland. It could end up benefiting Lambert if he plays well.

posted this on last page, didnt realise pages went so quick!

sorry if this is a really dumb question, i know pretty much nothing about football but really badly need to beat some people i'm in a league with haha.

i'm new to this game this year. can someone just sum up what players prices going up/down means? is it possible to earn more money so you have a bigger budget to spend?

Not stupid if itsyour first time. You don't necessarily have more to spend. If you're player goes up a lot, and you never get rid it means nothing. But if he gets injured or form goes and sell you make more than you bought him for. Lets say Sturridge is now 9, he does well and goea to 10 and gets injured, you sell him for 50% of profit, so 9.5.
Now you can buy a 9.5 player see.
Player pices going down are a major issue if in your team. If you have 1m in the bank and wang to sell a 5m to get 6m and your 5m goes down by 0.1 you wont be able to get him.

Are any Lukaku owners keeping for next week? I will wait til after the Villa match, but after Lukaku's performance on the final day of last season, surely Mourinho will want to start him? I can imagine that he'd want to target a potentially "weakened" United side with Moyes inexperienced at that level (and that's coming from an Everton fan), and Lukaku could bully them this early in the season, which I don't think Torres and Ba could do. Also, ditching Ivanovic this week would allow me to upgrade Lukaku next week, whereas now I have nothing in the bank.

Think its going to be hard for me to stick with him. With Chelsea being in Europe I still expect him to be rotated even if he does start banging them in in the league.

My other 2 are Benteke & Bony who I'm happy with and I think Lukaku will go to Negredo/Dzeko for the next 3 GWs(really nice 3 fixtures) then Negredo/Dzeko will become Sturridge in time for GW6.

I'm not happy having 3 strong players vying for a single position. My bench is full of second rate players so if one of my guys go AWOL then i'm kinda screwed.
I've got 3 Chelsea players, 1 Villa and Koscielny to sort out too!
It's either Wildcard or a big hit.

And is the focal point on a very attacking Villa side + on penos

As he did well (as did Villa) vs 'Pool last season and with a fair wind Benteke will do better than a goal every 2 games. Doesn't seem to get injured and is nailed on. it is not that much trouble to bench a player for 1 game that you want in your team long term.

I can't believe I own, not one but, two of the most toxic striking assets that one Fantasy Football team can have after GW1.... Lukaku & Anelka.

Bad management, pure and simple. What to do?

I can get RVP in for Lukaku with one hit but it'll involve a huge midfield downgrade to Barkley (most likely Hazard ). And that still leaves the problem of Anelka. Nightmare ðŸ™
