The Gameweek continues with five three o’clock kick-offs, culminating with Liverpool’s trip to Aston Villa at tea-time.
The team news from Goodison finds Roberto Martinez turning to Ross Barkley in midfield once again, as he fields an unchanged lineup for the visit of West Brom. The Baggies make just one forced alteration: with Nicolas Anelka on compassionate leave, Steve Clarke brings in Marcus Rosenberg to partner Shane Long in attack.
Newcastle’s lineup to face West Ham is much changed. Alan Pardew is again without Yohan Cabaye, while Steven Taylor serves the first match of a three-game ban. Davide Santon returns at left-back, however, allowing Mapou Yanga-M’Biwa to shift to the centre. With Jonas Guttierez and Cheick Tiote missing, Pardew turns to Vernon Anita in midfield, while Sylvain Marveaux also starts. Yoan Gouffran makes way for Shola Ameobi up front. The Hammers make just one change with Stewart Downing given his full debut; Joe Cole is the man to drop to the bench.
At the KC Stadium, Steve Bruce hands both Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore their first starts for Hull, with David Meyler and Danny Graham dropping to the bench. Opponents Norwich make two changes: Alex Tettey and Leroy Fer come into the midfield with Elliot Bennett injured and Wes Hoolahan dropping out. Steven Whitakker retains his start in defence, then, with no sign of Seb Bassong, while Robert Snodgrass only makes the bench.
Down at St Mary’s, Mauricio Pochettino fields an unchanged lineup from the one that earned a late three points at the Hawthorns. Calum Chambers keeps his start at right-back with Nathaniel Clyne kept benched alongside new signing, Pablo Osvaldo. Paolo Di Canio makes changes in opposition, recalling Craig Gardner after suspension and starting with Modibo Diakite at the back as Valentin Roberge and Cabral drop out.
Finally, at the Britannia, Mark Hughes makes just a single change to his Potters lineup, with Charlie Adam drafted in, as expected; Glenn Whelan drops to the bench. Ian Holloway also makes changes, giving full debuts to new signings Marouane Chamakh, Jose Campana and Jason Puncheon – Owen Garvan, Aaron Wilbraham and Stephen Dobbie are all benched.
Our Dugout Discussion chatroom remains open throughout these matches and into this evening’s clash at Villa Park.
