Rate my Team and the Projections have now been fully updated. They not only include the new arrivals from the transfer window, they also reflect the recent 25-man squads and factors such as ineligibility for fixtures against parent clubs for loan players.

The Rate My Team model has also been tweaked slightly with regards to bonus point allocation and form over the opening three Gameweeks.

Members can now view Projections for all players for Gameweeks 4 onwards, or get a snapshot of the next six Gameweeks. Rate my Team, meanwhile, allows those members playing wildcards to experiment with their lineups. Simply enter you team id and your current squad will be retrieved.

Having tweaked the model throughout the day, there will doubtless be further changes implemented and, should there be any major changes, I’ll notify you via comments.

Season memberships, giving access to Rate My Team and the Projections, are currently available for £15. View this page for details.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I asked last week about Zab --> Vidic because of the change in fixtures and was pretty much told no.

So I was all set to save the FT until I just realised I could afford Zab --> Evra. Anyone think I should/shouldn't pull the trigger on this one?

Really? Because of the BAPS? I'm just thinking with the signing of a new DM, it might give him even more licence to get forward.

Yeah the BAPS sway it for me. Also if Vidic starts to play regular again this season then he has had a decent goal threat in the past as well as the fact he is cheaper.

Thanks Smurf. I'm just concerned about Vidic's history of injuries and the fact that Utd have decent back up for him but not so much for Evra. I don't see myself needing that extra .5 soon so think I'll go for Evra. Something to think about over the break though. Cheers mate.

No problem. There are pro's and con's for both but if you are happy with spending the extra 0.5m the Evra is a good shout.

      Word people - hpw do?

I got 5.6 in the bank for a midfielder.

      Team is looking like this...

      GK's
      Mignolet
      Gazzaniga

      DEFs
      Coleman (eve)
      Cahill (che)
      Sakho (liv)
      Ivanovic (che)
      Gabbidon (palace)

      MIDs
      McCarthy (eve)
      Hernández (swa)
      Özil (arse)
      Yaya Touré (m city)
      Walcott (arse)
      + 1 more at 5.6?

      STR
      Sturridge (liv)
      Giroud (arse)
      Benteke (villa)

Now RMT has been updated I did a quick comparison of average RMT pts projections for the next 8 games for the top players in each position. (comparing RMT before and after the update)

OLD RMT NEW RMT CHANGE AVG PRICE “VALUE”

    GK 27.50 28.52 4% 5.71 4.99
    DEF 26.31 27.73 5% 5.96 4.65
    MID 30.60 29.57 -3% 8.36 3.54
    FOR 32.33 31.47 -3% 8.77 3.59

Is Mark going to follow his own model and now invest more money in defence?

Silva was really poor in last game

but if you checked his stats from last season he kinnda underpreform in fpl wise while Mata has been overpreform

i know stats dont show real picture cause of players like Taarabt but i think Silva can be fpl gold this season

he have every chanse for constantly fpl returns i'd say

he isn't explosive enought but i rather have player who will deliver assist in every gw than wait some big points haul

So I’ve convinced myself to go for the ol 4-3-3 with my WC. The way I see it is I’ve chosen 2 premium defenders over a medium mid like Nolan/HBA. Yes the clean sheets are unlikely to be as prolific as the first three weeks, but more so for the lesser teams, the top six should still get a decent amount of CS’s. And not only do the bps favour defenders but there’s seems to be much more chance of several players drawing and all receiving bps.

With more bps than usual being handed out in many games, seeking them becomes more important.

      Please RMWCT;

      Migs (Daniels)
Vidic | Zabaleta | Walker | Enrique (Chester)
Lampard | Walcott | Silva (JWP Jedinak)
      Benteke | Sturridge | Giroud

Now I just gota get past my RVP fear..

I'm bored at home musing about what if you had to pick players on FPL based on their specific positions e.g you couldn't play four right backs across your defence. With some players becoming more valuable due to versatility e.g. John O'Shea has played every position on the field before. Makes the formations a lot trickier to get the balance right.

Not a feasible game, but just a fun idea. Who would you pick?

Your guess is as good as mine haha. But I reckon you'd probably have to play three CBs. Though players can fall into multiple caterogies. It would make DM more applicable to the game at least haha

Jaask/Bego rotate ok, but Jaask/Boruc and Bego/Ruddy rotate better and are both cheaper (I think - I haven't checked)

Cahill not nailed on, would downgrade to Mertersaker or Koscielny, both nailed on and will pick up goals and bonus.

Don't like Yaya, he won't keep scoring free kicks every week, I'd be surprised if he got more than one more this season. Would upgrade to a Spurs MF, Lamela my choice.

Rest of team will do imo

WC after week 2 as I had 3 DGW players, then this weeks I transferred in Lukaku at drop down price and Fellaini for Man U coverage fo home game against palace. Will look to get Giroud or Wally depending on how Fellaini and Lukaku are doing.

      @LR & Red Devil

Any news saying Williams isn't starting?

He started Swansea's last 3 matches

Who's the nailed on defender at Swansea then? There's Davies but there might be competition from Taylor once he's back.

Ok now that Nani has been given a new 5 year 120,000 pound a week deal surely he must come into contention as u real fantasy prospect for United. Few nifty bullet points to maybe win a few of you doubters over.

      1. He has 43 assists in the league since 2007, now considering how stop start his career with united has been that is extremely potent "if" he gets coddled and gets a big run in the team, the above contract surely indicates such. Since 07 Some lad by the name of cesc has the most assists in the league with 49, another two lads named Wayne and Robin are close on 45 and 44 respectively. Nani's total ain't bad considering.

      2. We have all seen the guy play he preys on the weaker teams predominantly, he is a greedy bugger and always wants in on the goals and has pops from left right and centre, playing on the right or left of an attacking 4 which we presume he will, with Rvp up top Rooney just behind there will without doubt be ample opportunity for big hauls.

      3. Zaha, will be a bit part player Valencia has been really disappointing last 15 months, Welbeck isn't a winger/inside forward so I really feel the bumper 5 year deal which has been handed to him, right after the window closed I might add, the whole like a new signing feel to it which will also put him among uniteds highest earners is a major statement.

      4. Oh yeah and he is 7.4m!

You could have a point. Moyes obviously doesn't have huge faith in him waiting for the end of the transfer window before doing the new deal, it was obviously a case of not getting anyone new so falling back on their last resort as it were. But any attack minded player getting games at Utd (especially one hungry for goals and the chance to prove themself) is bound to get some points in the bag. Woud be interesting to see if he starts getting games now they've committed to him. I don't think we'll see him back at his best like he was a few years ago but he could be one to keep an eye on.

      WC Help Please

      GK - Mignolet, (Davis)

DEF - Vidic, Mertesacker, Sakho, (Chester), (Baker)

MID - Walcott, Lamela, Silva, Hazard, (Colback)

      FWD - Giroud, Benteke, Odemwingie

      or

      GK - Mignolet, (Davis)

DEF - Vidic, Mertesacker, Sakho, Ivanovic (Chester)

MID - Walcott, Hernandez, Silva, Hazard, (Barkley)

      FWD - Giroud, Benteke, Odemwingie

i could swap out Hazard/Silva for - (Lamela or Coutinho).

      - If Lamela get Hernandez/Barkley (leaves me .5 in the bank)
      - If Coutino get Paulinho/Colback (leaves me .1 in the bank)

      Any Thoughts?

Ok guy, could use some advice here. Used my Wild Card but keep to-ing and fro-ing on a few of the players. First off here is my current squad and team for GW4...

      Mignolet (Marshall)

Toure - Zabaleta - Collins (Coleman - Brayford)

      Ozil - Lamela - Silva - Ward-Prowse (Barkley)

      Eto'o - Benteke - Giroud

I know Toure probably won't play this week but I have Coleman as adequate cover, Everton have Chelsea so have help their players back from the first team in case Toure plays.

I had Sturridge and Hazard in there but they both have possible injury problems that even if they play will probably hold them off from their best and with Suarez returning in a couple weeks I can't see Sturridge quite keeping up current form.

Not 100% on SILVA, what with City's rotation. He seems real popular though, is he worth it?

Another iissue is whether to keep ETO'O, I really like him as a player and his stats are over a goal every 2 games through his whole career but the scout report on here suggests he will be rotated, although I can't see anyone else being good enough to take his place. Thoughts?

Also not sure if LAMELA or ERIKSEN will be the more nailed on option for Tottenham. If I was to take out Eto'o it would be for SOLDADO with their easy run of games but to do so I would have to downgrade Lamela to Eriksen or change someone else.

So I guess my main question is...

      ERIKSEN & SOLDADO

      or

      LAMELA & ETO'O

      Thanks in advance guys 🙂

I've actually made a change since then that I think I'm happy with. I downgraded Barkley to Livermore to free me up money so I could afford Soldado and Lamela and got rid of Eto'o. If he does really well I'll be able to swap him out for either one of 2 of my strikers. Also left me enough to swap out Brayford (who I just had to free up 0.1m) for Chester who will actually play. Leaves me a solid 4-3-3 formation with 2 regular and fairly well performing cheap midfielders and 1 similar defender as my 3 subs although they are all interchangeable to a 3-4-3 depending on matches like this week I shall be playing Ward-Prowse.

        Any thoughts still appreciated...

        ............................................................................
        Ivanovic - Zabaleta - Vertonghen - Vidic - Baines
        ............................................................................
        .......................Eriksen.............Ozil........................
        ............................................................................
        ................Giroud........Benteke........Lukaku..........

        subs

        Colback, Ward-prowse, Pennent

Got 3 injuries in my team, (Hazard, Sturridge, Parr) and doubts on Shaw, Mirallas and Rodriguez playing, should I use my WC or not? Still have a transfer and will only use WC at the end of the week if I do.
