We’ve the luxury of eight, yes eight(!), Premier League fixtures to pour over today. So get in the Dugout Discussion chatroom early, and settle yourself for a full days action.

The early kick-off comes from White Hart Lane, home of North London’s only Champions League representative, Tottenham Hotspur. The visitor’s are West Ham United, in a tie being described as ‘the Olympic Stadium derby’. Here is the team news…

Spurs XI: Gomes, Corluka, Gallas, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Lennon, Sandro, Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart, Defoe

West Ham XI: Green, Jacobsen, da Costa, Upson, Bridge, O’Neil, Parker, Hitzlsperger, Noble, Cole, Ba

A lot of fantasy hopes pinned on this Spurs side, with favourites Rafael van der Vaart and Gareth Bale in our preferred positions. The Welshman is out on the left wing, whilst the Dutchman plays behind Jermain Defoe in a 4-4-1-1 formation.

As for the visitors, Frederic Piquionne was unable to shake of a knock to make the squad, so Carlton Cole partners Demba Ba up front.

Then we’ve got six 3pm games, notably the top two both looking for three vital points. They’re followed by Everton versus Fulham in the evening fixture.

I was just looking at Adams bps for this season. He's on 40 and after today's game he's already only 3bps shy of Lampards best season in terms of bps. I know Lampard has to compete with better players on his team for BPs but still is quite a stat

Yes I think so, he got booked anyway so think he's due the ban. Plus Jose Enrique pulled his hamstring so will be out for a few weeks.

Two of your best players this year, Enrique especially, I've been so impressed any time I've seen him. Just taking your word on Tiote! Huge loss imo

Wolves and Villa in the next 2, not an ideal period for them to miss.

I'm still hoping! Maybe with Van Gaal leaving and Bayern struggling he could leave.

But then again probably not. We'll probably end up with Rodwell and Henderson 😕

He could actually, he just signed a new contract, but his brother is a huge United fan!

If all came to all, I'd take Rodwell, but he's far from my first choice, way down the pecking order. The fact he can play Cb works in his favour as well.

not too worried tbh. i guess only rvp and meite themselves know exactly who touched it last but with rvp sliding in one way and meite trying to clear the opposite way rvp has to be all over that as it went exactly where he was trying to put it? i also get the impression that the powers that be are reluctant to award own goals and/or strip strikers of a goal if it's a scenario like this one where it's not a case of was it on target or not and therefore an og or not.

I think someone is going to have to go super slow-mo at the Premier League. Was 100% sure first time I saw it but if you pause it at the right time I think RVP goes through Miete and the ball strikes the latters ankle.
Sure Miete isn't going to want it and RVP will be baying for it.
Am half prepared to lose 8 pts but I'm more optimistic that they'll just give it to RVP and be done with it.

are u saying that it shd be an own goal? own goal does not solely depend on who touches the ball last. it has to change the direction of the ball from NOT going in to going in. otherwise, it's called a deflection which then is still RVP goal

Two clean sheets, a goal and an assist at the back. Not bad from 4 defenders with one to come, considering that’s been the hardest area to predict this season. As for the midfield and attack – wasn’t really happy with selecting the obvious but hey, who didn’t fancy that lot?

I’m beating myself up about Adam though. You’ll read more on that in a bit.
