Sometimes us Fantasy Managers are just too fickle. Surely few of us lost faith in Charlie Adam? We know his influence in the Blackpool midfield – his role of quarterback, prompting every move of purpose with careful possession, launching instant attacks with raking 60-yard passes. We also know that Adam sits on free-kicks and penalties – today’s brace in the 2-2 draw at Ewood reminded us just how vital that can be.

We had all the information then, and yet, going into gameweek 30, only 1% of our Captain Poll voters fancied backing the balding ball-hogger, with heavyweight temptations like Wayne Rooney, Rafeal Van der Vaart and Nani drawing the eye.

I’m just as much to blame. Shamefully omitted form the Scout Picks behind the gameweek Fantasy failures Ashley Young and Samir Nasri, it’s almost as if Adam’s potential had slipped from memory.

Had a two-game suspension and an FA Cup break really wiped my brain? Had I mistakenly marked the data storing Adam’s achievements for “recycling” along with last week’s Masterchef winner and everything my girlfriend has ever told me?

That can’t be the case.

No, I’m only guilty of being fickle – banged to rights; distracted by bigger names and transient thrills that threw a smokescreen over Adam’s dependable potential.

Charlie is back now. Today’s points haul a sharp elbow in the ribs for the 140,000 Fantasy Premier League Managers who sold him on in recent gameweeks. A slap in the face for a Scout Picks selector seduced by erratic chancers like Villa’s Young.

And yet, I can’t guarantee that Adam will be back in my affections just yet. Can I squeeze him in my own star spangled midfield unit when it’s Fulham away and Arsenal at home to come next? Maybe.

That Arsenal game is the first of four consecutive Bloomfield Road matches – a spell that will surely guarantee that Adam’s price will rise quicker than his calorie count in May.

A new Adam bandwagon is rolling then. My memory banks safely restored. Fickle nature restrained.

By the way, Clint Dempsey scored tonight. Remember him? Didn’t he win Masterchef?

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Pretty poor GW for me, 38 so far, why didn't i captain Adam! Can only hope that Tevez and Meireles score big to save my GW.

Why didnt you captain Adam? Hmmm. Lets think, away at Blackburn when people like Nani, Rooney, VDV etc were all at home and Nasri, RVP faced west brom. Why would you have captained adam.

well well well just glad I kept faith with Adam.
Well that was the only plus point.
    Lets see the bad.
Coleman on my bench and scoring.
My drunkin transfers last Sunday night.
Nani, Dempsey and Zigic > Lampard Young and Hoilett.
so for an 8 pt hit I now need Lampard to score in excess of 20pts.
Hoilett was a good move but if I hadn't made any changes Zigic would have moved to bench in favour of Coleman so 16pts transferred out and 8pts sitting on Bench for an 8pt hit that has so far gained me 9pts with Frank to come....
If ever there was a lesson into why not to take a hit this is it....
Lets just say I am one very unhappy FPL manager tonight.
Bring on the wine and the Scottish League Cup final tomorrow, Although I think that will just make my footie weekend worse...

I meant the luck element due to a normally faultless keeper spilling it into the path of Berba who only just scored. It's not luck playing to the final whistle and scoring, just annoying.

8 - Man Utd have won more points with goals scored in the last five minutes than any other team in the 2010-11 Premier League. Traditional.

What? Define luck then if you want to nit pick. I believe in that game you were lucky Jussi spilled the ball which he never does, you were lucky it fell to Berba and you were bloody lucky that crawled over the line as Jussi almost stopped it.

You applying pressure to the dying seconds was the catalyst to this slice of luck.

          Momentum however is irrelevant.

If I push you very hard and then you knock an old lady over at the end of a stumble it doesn't negate the fact you broke dear old Mildred's hip. By virtue of my action, but it's your gaffe (own goal).

I have no protestations with the goal whatsoever, however I can see why there are conflicting views.

To me it probably looks like both basically got the last touch (Persie kicking it while it also on Meite's boot), so wouldn't have a problem with Robin getting it - though, obviously, selfishly an OG would be grand. I can't see enough evidence for it being changed.

I know RVP is my captain this GW but I can't see how you give anything other than an RVP goals for that though.
