In one of our most intriguing Members articles so far, I decided to investigate how players faired on a per minute basis when it comes to some of the vital statistics available in our Opta tables. Taking a look at Influence, Passing and Goal Threat, I investigate those players who recorded the most touches, passes, key passes, crosses and shots per minute in the Premier League so far.

The findings turned up several surprising statistics, with some major food for thought available to those considering a “route to recruit” for Cesc Fabregas this week.

I haven't been a massive follower of football over the years, so there's loads of things I don't know about, such as the Bosman ruling. But it seems that Holloway is a good manager who tells it as it is!

  I might bench Malouda depending on Carlo. I got Nani last week & the way he is going lately, he's a good choice then get Fabregas for Essien next week. Yaya is dead in Sportal soon as he will stop rising. I have Gerrard aswell & he will drop abit of value this week. Really depends on what you have to spend.

  You may as well stick Alex in the starting XI on the off chance that he may start. He certainly won't be a playing sub if he's carrying an injury.
  
  Otherwise, I think you've got it right. If you really want to gamble, drop VDV and play Petrov. But I guess VDV is you "insurance" against an Everton clean sheet.

  The problem with this debate is that people hardly ever saw Pele play. The world saw him have great World Cups in '58 and '70, but how much else did we see? He also played in a lot of rigged friendlies and meaningless promotional matches.
  
  Of the two I'd say Maradona, but to be honest I'd put Zidane above them both.

      You get the next defender. If you only have 2 playing defenders, you will get a 0 for the 3rd defender. You must play 3 defenders minimum.

Thoughts on captain folks ? 🙂

I have Drogba and Malouda but both have doubts ; injury to Drogba (and if he does play, will it be 90 mins ?) and some reports suggesting Malouda may be rested for this one.

I have Nani and Berbatov but not keen to captian either away at Stoke....so how about my next option...Van der Vaart home to Everton ?

      Yep - A Cole being rested this week is nailed on. Malouda probably will get rested too but I'm hopeful that he won't.
      
      Coles been struggling to finish games and Chelsea's kids could beat Wolves, terrible team.

  depends on the rest of your team...but I'd say its equal stevens. Jara could get 6pts, but probably 2pt. Carroll about the same. Can't see more than one goal or assist in him away. the crowd on his back could fire him up more....or set him into a red card rage.
  Conclusion - Jara is safety first option, Carrol the riskier move.
