Tottenham’s most culpable finishers are brought under the microscope. Liverpool’s South American duo serve us some eye-catching statistics against Fulham. Southampton’s skipper and Swansea’s record signing also impress, while City’s problems on the road are laid bare as we assess the key numbers from the Gameweek gone by:

Team for GW12. Seems quiet on here so please if you have a few moments let me know what moves you'd make going forward.
Boruc
Williams, Dawson, Johnson
Sessegnon, Ramsey, Özil, Hazard
Agüero, Lukaku, Suárez
(xx, Morrison, Clyne, Turner)
0FT & £1.6mOpen ControlsNot so sure about Lukaku given recent performances + upcoming fixtures. Looked at Remy (if he's not in bracelets...) ?
Will be interesting to see what happens in the Spurs defence when Rose (finally) gets fit again. Dawson, Chiriches and Kaboul battling to partner Vert.Open Controls
Sorry for the disappearance, I got an important phone call and had to take it.
Are these moves you suggest for this week meaning take a hit? Or next week and beyond?
As for Ozil I think he needs to get a haul of points very soon to confirm his price over other mids. His spot is in serious doubt when Walcott comes back, I imagine many teams selling him to free up funds.Open ControlsVery similar team to mine, nearly all set for GW 12. Only captain decision to worry about now.
Open ControlsYeah and it is not easy. I don't really know who is best so it will be pure luck if I pick right and a disaster if I pick poorly. Kun is edging it over Suarez, Sess and Hazard at the moment.
Open ControlsConsidering Sess may also me my transfer in this week, he is about 3rd on the list of captain for me. First being Suarez and Second being Aguero and Hazard in 4th. I have a gut feeling the Merseyside derby maybe 0-0, but I highly doubt it as both teams need wins, especially Everton. Aguero is at home and city proveil at home, but Tottenham are known for their tight defenses. Like you said the decision this week, is too hard. Probably a luck decision.
Open ControlsSuarez is tempting considering his form, but I don't like his travel schedule combined with an away game against a tough defence. And it is the early game!!
Open Controls
Points when I have Rooney : 5 , 8 , 1
Points when I didn't have Lukaku : 7 , 16 , 6
and then I switched Rooney -> Lukaku
Point when I finally have Lukaku : 2 , 8 , 1 , 2
Points after I didn't have Rooney : 5 , 12 , 12 , 4
35 points swing right there 😉
(not to mention I could've had Ramsey instead of Ozil if I hold onto Rooney, but let's not get there)
And I'm considering to do Lukaku -> Rooney back this week.
I don't know why, whatever I'm doing I'm gonna be fecked anyway.Open ControlsCould you please just transfer them both out? I have them and want them to score well this week 😉

mignolet, Davis,
Terry, Fonte, Clyne, Williams, Chester
Hazard, Silva, Ramsey, Amaltifano, Janusaz,
Suarez, Aguero and Sturridge
1FT and 1.4 in the bank
Planning Silva to Walcott when he's back and Fonte to Evans or Mert this week.
Any better ideas (apart from Brunt as I've seen him play!)Open Controlslooks like you're doing good
like your patience with Silva to Walcott
Fonte to Evans is risky as Moyes has said he'll rotate his center backs
might consider Ridgewell too (who looks like his price will rise tonight - in an hour - or tomorrow night); could also go for Glen Johnson (all the cool kids are)
I'm not cool 🙁 , I'm going for EvraOpen ControlsHe got 3 liverpool players already so johnson is impossible unless he drops another pool player

I reckon Sturridge has three good fixtures after the derby so was trying to be patient with that one as all the hits I've taken so far have been miserable failures.
Will check out Ridgewell, Evra (expensive I feel) and Mert to see which one fits in best with current defenders.Open Controls

Suggestions on who I should be bringing in and who I should be shipping over the coming weeks?Open ControlsRambo would free up cash
but alas
you may just want to wait another gameweek and hold your fire to bring in Walcott afterward long as Silva doesn't drop too much to kill that option (which, he cannot)Open ControlsWas thinking Silva-->Sess this week and Lallana-->Walcott next week..
Open Controls
Hello DWers. Would like some advice on my team which is a mess IMO.
Boruc / Mig
Vert / Collins / Coleman / Clyne / Johnson
Ozil / Rambo / Brady / Amalfiatno / Paulinho
Kun / Giroud / Sturridge
Where should i start? With 3 gunners i'm ready to pull the trigger and get Giroud out for Benteke/Remy. What else?Open ControlsAny thoughts on Zab... continued rotation risk? Thought Richards was awful last week, for what it's worth. Lack of obvious replacements. May take a chance on Terry or Ivan...
Open ControlsIt should be a great time to get on Terry/ Ivan. A lot of us got on too early and Chels conceded every bloody GW.
Zab -> Terry looks a good move, if you're happy with your front 8.Open ControlsNot fulllly satisfied in midfield, but who is? Haven't watched any Chels recently... what's the problem been at the back, or just bad luck?
Open ControlsHad Terry for a few weeks now and still waiting for the clean sheets to start but Mourinho teams are always solid at the back so it can't be long now. Can it?
Open ControlsLuiz always seems a liability... if Cahill got more of a run I'd be sold on the idea. Don't know the full ins and outs of Mourinho's rotations of course, but seems to be shooting himself in the foot all over the park. Need a settled line-up in order to gel. Particularly true in defence.
Open ControlsAgree. That's why I think Moyes will settle on Evans and Vidic. He can give Smalling an occasional game at right back and Jones in place of Carrick so it's only Rio who'll be feeling aggrieved and Vidic can't play every game so even he can have the occasional run out.

Hey guys non-Ramsey owner here. I think I'm going have to bite the bullet and bring him in.
I could do the following for -4

Oscar ➡ Ramsey
What do ye think? I could just do the Ramsey move, and the Sess on in GW13.....Open ControlsAny early suggestions for this lot? Ozil, Brady and Barkley frustrating recently but also slightly worried about fielding a decent df over the next few GWs

Posted by Mifune on last page. Not sure where he is now but thoughts??
Lukaku for GW12 captain?
I very almost did Lukaku > Rooney transfer, but just can't shake the feeling that this GW it is really going to be Lukaku > Rooney . Not only that, but I think Lukaku could be a great (C) choice this week. I think this for the following reasons:
- Lukaku is a great striker and has not scored since GW9, so he is bound to start scoring again soon. Slightly sloppy logic but who cares.
- Liverpool often struggle against physical forwards. Lukaku scored twice against them last season.
- Liverpool have also struggled coming off international breaks this season, drawing against Swansea and a 10 man Newcastle 2-2 in both fixtures.
- The last three Merseyside Derbies at Goodison have averaged over 2.5 goals a game.
I am still looking to bring in Rooney for Lukaku within the next few GWs, but just can't justify to myself doing it this week. Man U have Cardiff away this GW and they are no pushover. Cardiff at home this season beat Swansea, drew against Everton, and only narrowly lost again Newcastle, Spurs and Man City. Cardiff also have fewer internationals so will be much more rested and have more preparation time than Man U.
That is my rambling excuse for not bringing in Rooney for Lukaku this week anyway. Just need to ignore the price changes now .Open ControlsDecent shout. Lukaku does better with Barkley in. Defoleu could help too.
Open ControlsI'm selling him 😉
Open ControlsWouldn't judge Pool based on 3142 and 3412. They should be returning with their best team in 442 for the Derby. Predicting an easy Pool victory.
Open ControlsThere's a bunch of small sample trends from previous fixtures that may or may not have relevance given managerial and player changes. What is clear is that Everton's attacking stats have gone down spectacularly in recent weeks culminating in their failure to score against Palace. Keeping Lukaku, let alone captaining him, is risky.
Open ControlsThat and Pool have instantly resumed picking up CS with their switch to 4 at the back. Also, Skrtel and Agger is not exactly a CB partnership you'd say is physically vulnerable.
Open ControlsThese are the arguments that are keeping my finger poised above the hit button. Though unlike Mifune I cannot afford a MU striker this GW, I'd have to go for Remy or Benteke.
Open ControlsBoth are good options, though Remy has those allegations to deal with and his fixtures are mixed. Do get the feeling he's so clinical he can deliver in the tough fixtures though.
Benteke is so due though. Not in a he's been blanking way, in a he's been blasting the shots in way.Open ControlsRemy is a clear captain choice for me that I otherwise don't feel like I have.
Tekkers is on my radar this GW. If he gets a wingman back I will most likely take that hit.Open ControlsRemy's got to be one of the best finishers in the league, proper respect. This week I'd be happy captaining him.
Open Controls
If I had Lukaku I would keep him for the derby but after that the fixtures are a bit grim until gw16 and with so many high scoring forwards around at the moment it would take far more patience than i have to keep long term.
Open ControlsStoke at home week after is a great fixture for Everton.
Open Controls
My thoughts, Lukaku is not in form and has a tough fixture. Sure he can score but why bet your armband on it?
Open ControlsI wouldn't but Mifune would. (He posted this on previous page and I thought it deserved comment).
Mind you I still have no captain as I have no MU striker or Remy/Benteke.Open ControlsI have Remy but wouldn't cpatain him, definitely not tekkers. For me it's between Aguero and Suarez
Open ControlsWhat's your reasoning on not captaining Remy over the other two
I would in a heart beat.Open ControlsI don't see him as anywhere near as reliable, even though he's been quite consistent so far I see him as a player that will blank a lot more than the other two.
With the team I have now I'll probably captain one of those two every week. Two of the best strikers in the world in the best form of their life playing for very good attacking sides. It's almost a sure thing with them atmOpen ControlsNo denying their form but you can never discount the circumstances they'll be faced with week to week.
Open ControlsTrue but even factoring Aguero's opponent and Suarez's potential fatigue I still see them as the best options for the armband this week. Suarez is an absolute freak when it comes to fitness and work rate travelling and playing heaps never even seems to affect him at all. City at home are ruthless and I don't think Tottenham's defence can stop them scoring a couple at least.
Not saying Remy is a bad choice, I brought him in this week after all. He's just not a captain for me. Mainly due to his teams inconsistency. If he played for Liverpool or City he'd be a different prospect and priced accordinglyOpen Controls
Sup geezers.

Open ControlsGoing to start my player ranking now, in case I'm #1-5 😆
Open ControlsI played around with mine for a bit, got to about 20
Open Controls2 months back when I did this for a ten team league, I ranked about 200 players.
Didn't matter much. Half the league was unprepared, and all that really mattered was I got Captain Hate with the 6th pick (was 3 weeks before he came back).
And now, I get to eat dinner and watch Revolution, two guilty pleasures for the price of one.Open Controls
Baines, Vertonghen, Evra, Mirallas, Coutinho
1 to 5. Simples.Open ControlsTwo q's if you don't mind sir
1) What happens after 8 hrs deadline for a pick and there are no players ranked? Auto select?
2) By doing the player rank, does it automatically choose for you as soon as its your chance? or is there some leeway so you can manually select?Open Controls
What's going on here then?

Current backline:
Mignolet / Lewis
Evra / Coleman / Chester / Clyne / Kolarov
Thinking I'll get rid of Kolarov this week, but unsure if I should get Vlaar or Evans, and double up on United.
What do you think, is double United defence too many eggs in a thready basket?Open ControlsOnly three clean sheets all season including Chelsea when they didn't want to leave their own half and Palace so I reckon one United defender is plenty even with the better fixtures coming up
Open Controls
I am definitely feeling the days of this fantasy template are numbered, and you've got to keep one step ahead. Specifically, the Aguero Rooney Suarez / light midfield one. I'm saying this as someone who got on early and has been saved by it. They've pulled me from ~800k to ~60k in 3 weeks. I'm not saying sell them all, and I would keep investing big in forwards as that's where the points are, but so long nothing spectacular happens I am braced to sell Aguero after his two home games, when he visits West Brom in GW14, with two lousy fixtures after that too. I'm also watching Rooney carefully though satisfied. Suarez, as ever, is unsellable. What's particularly persuasive is that over the same period, Arsenal, Liverpool and Swansea all have decent fixtures and Walcott, Coutinho and Michu returning. Yes Michu disappointed the first time round, but you can't take it personally, you have to go by the threat.
Open Controls9... 18... same difference 😉
Hope you don't carry out your username. That'll only leave Doos for differentials. It'll be Sidwell or the highway.Open ControlsGAME OVER
I'm just not cut out to spend 38 weeks, 70% of a year of my life, pondering over matters which are just bollocks at the end of the day.
Brought up on, and much prefer, the short, sharp shock of a 14 week (possibly 16) Fantasy NFL season.
It has much less frustration attached to it, your players are your players and that's the end of it.
With this malarkey, most teams end up being virtually the same and it does my head in.
Still up the Swans!
😉Open ControlsI can't disagree with any of those points, and in fact on more than one occasion I've thought about whether I'll have to give up FPL to complete my PhD (thesis due in January).
On the bright side, this is ironically the most diverse season for players I recall. It's because people don't know who to buy, that people are unhappy. It's only just now that the strikers became template and I think it's destined to shatter any minute now.
It really depends what you play this game for. Do you play it to avoid every mistake? Yeah you're right, that'll consume your life. But I got the impression you played it for the glory, for originality and for flair. You can do that with 10 minutes a week. And there's too few people who play that way.
Don't goooooo!Open ControlsI won't disappear completely.
Looking forward to see how far my dead team can go in the cup. Hopefully knocking out some 'hardcore' players would be lovely.
🙂
It'll be interesting also to see where it finishes in points scored.
I'll change it only if a player is injured for some considerable time.
It has Aguero (c) and Oscar (vc).
Wish me luck............................Open ControlsGood stuff. Maybe get in a few people you see as season keepers. Looking forward to your team haunting the FPL fraternity as a top 1k ghost ship come May. Good luck 😆

FWIW this week I upgraded one of my midfielders to Coutinho (the other mids are still injured). Didn't work out this week but I defy you to watch the game and conclude he's not going to score points at some point.
Open ControlsWow didn't realise you jumped as much in rank
Open ControlsMostly captaincies. Catch the explosion and you can survive a crap squad!
Open ControlsAmazing still
Open ControlsCheers, I like to chase the biggest hauls. Probably too much of a risk taker and take plenty of hits, but usually means I'm thereabouts when someone explodes. Last season was the season of hattricks and I have so many happy memories! My biggest weakness is probably for flair midfielders that fall far short of my dreams. Siggy, Coutinho, Moses...

I'm still rotating choices between Ozil, Suarez & Rooney. Each day I convince myself in a different directions, but I guess it's been several days since Rooney was in the slot. Trying not to be blinded by Everton optimism in regards to keeping Suarez out of the goal.Open Controls
