As we’re all very much aware, midfielders have been a real let-down this season for Fantasy managers thus far. Aside from Aaron Ramsey’s sensational displays for Arsenal, there have very few options for us to look upon as reliable assets – Adam Lallana’s recent rise to prominence has already persuaded over 78,000 Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers to snap up the Southampton skipper, despite games against Arsenal, Chelsea, City and Spurs in the next six Gameweeks:

With this in mind, in this latest article for members, weβ€˜ve turned to the Custom Stats Tables feature in the members area and assessed the midfielders with the most impressive data over the last four Gameweeks. For the purposes of this table, and in order to include some of the standout players across key categories, we set the bar to ensure each of our 16 candidates registered a minimum of 5 shots, 5 chances created, 2 shots on target and 1 shot inside the box between Gameweeks 8-11.

    Which one looks likes the better set of transfers?

    A) Baines and Townsend > Terry and Sess

    Or

    B) Baines and Rooney > RVP and 4.8 defender?

      B) seems a tad sideways, and RVP may be more likely to be rested over Christams than Rooney. And I wouldn't do A) either, why get rid of Baines? Yes fixtures may be tough for the next few weeks but come GW 16, he will be one of the most sought after players. I would just get rid of Townsend.

        Cheers.

        Unless I get rid of Baines I won't be able to fund the Sess move. And I'm gonna get Baines back in 4 weeks.
        Fancy Terry and Sess to outscore Baines and Townsend

          Oh right, not considering Snodgrass? Same here, I don't know how I'm going to get Baines, but I can't stand to not have him with those fixtures, GW 16 onwards, meaning I would double up on Everton cover in defence and triple overall.

    Stuck dammit

    Looking at Arsenal's fixture I'm thinking of doubling up with Walcott and Ramsey. Well not getting Walcott this week but this alter my transfer decision.

    Original plan was
    This week: Silva -> Sessegnon
    GW 13: Oscar -> Hazard
    GW 14: Ramsey -> Walcott
    GW 15: Save

    Now considering
    This week: Silva -> Hazard
    GW 13: Oscar -> Walcott
    GW 14: Save *double up Ramsey Walcott vs Hull*
    GW 15: Ramsey -> Sess (or keep Ramsey if he's still scoring)

    Basically only difference is.

    GW 12: Sess AVL vs Hazard whu
    GW 13: Sess new vs Walcott car
    GW 14: Sess MCI vs Ramsey HUL

    Gotta be Haz, Wally, Rambo?

        Hey baby. I did bad formatting there. I meant

        Sess (AVL new MCI) vs Had (WHU) Walcott (car) Ramsey (HUL).

        Well I can get Sess for AVL and double up Rams Wally
        but it would mean I won't have Hazard vs SOT sunsun and have Sees vs new MCI instead during those.

              Nasri needs to step up. He did made 7 key passes vs Sunderland.

                it's either a goal or an assist at best.. he's a bit weaker w/o silva but still can manage some attacking points..

    Shall i get rid of Lukaku or Benteke for Aguero?

    This is on the assumption that Benteke has at least a decent chance of being fit for the West Brom match.

      Keep Benteke for the coming weeks. Decent fixtures and nailed on coming into the 3 gamnes in 8 days first week or so of december. Lukaku can't manage 90 mins so likely to be rested one of the games that week.

    So bookies clearly favor Remy and Aguero as anytime goalscorer this week over the likes of Suarez, Rooney, Özil etc.

    I'm lucky enough to have both. Question is, go for the differential or go for the safe choice. What do you usually do in those types of circumstances?

      Unless my gut is telling me elsewise, I usually go with the safe (odds-wise) choice. In this case I got a good feeling about Remy and Norwich have been absolutely woeful away from home, so going with him.

          He has scored 3 away goals outside of the PL. But I would say that previous history is null and void with Bony. He's only just settling in and has hardly been getting starts, even. He's obviously a punt but I see a bright future for young Wilfried, starting last weekend.

          There is uncertainty over starts and general settling in to do, but his record last season was simply phenomenal.
