Our weekly regular for Members is rolled out again this evening, offering an in-depth statistical analysis of the main captaincy contenders for the Gameweek ahead. Looks good as a fellow Aguero captainer I hope it works out once again although I am guessing this time its not going to be such a small club.

Anybody think Evra is worth the extra 0.6 over GJ? Stats and fixtures are fairly even. Evra's end product maybe a bit better?
Losing Vidic can just afford evra but wouldn't have that 0.6 buffer then. On the plus side it would spread the risk a bit as I have migs.

This season isn't very old and he's been injured. Quick glance will show you he certainly does have end product http://espnfc.com/player/_/id/23650/glen-johnson?cc=3436

I think so. Went for Evra over GJ last week. Looking forward I'd say cleanies look similar for both but Evra is way more likely to get attacking returns

Cheers mate might go that route then. I have a 3rd option of downgrading to make room for rooney up top but I feel the cheaper guys can maybe match him. What do you reckon?

Evra + Benteke is better than cheapie + Rooney imo. Easy switch to Lukaku gw16 if he's still blanking. I have Rooney and won't be selling but don't think Benteke will be far off him between now and Xmas

I agree to a degree Granville but injuries have been a major hinderance, probably moreso than anything else. The new CB bonus point bias certainly makes him less attractive than in previous seasons but he still offers genuine attacking threat, at a reasonable price in a very solid defence. I think himself and José Enrique, also when fit, would be two of the few FBs you could strongly consider this year, even given the CB bias.
I thought your point about Mark being overly enamoured with him on the scoutcast was right though, and it wouldn't be a transfer I'd prioritise unless the rest of my team was well in order.

GJ. Evra has been phenomenally consistent over the last number of seasons, but his purple patch of goalscoring is largely just a statistical anomaly. That might be doing him a disservice, but I certainly don't think it's likely to continue to any significant extent. I think GJ is the better choice given price, and would probably be in my WC team if I were playing it.

    Ming
Kosc (car) Evra (tot) Coleman (STK)
Sess (new) Ramsey (car) Ozil (car) Morrison (FUL)
Aguero (C) (SWA) Kaku (STK) Suarez (hull)

    Harper, De Guzman, Ward, Shaw

    1FT
    1.2m in the bank

Shaw and De Guzman are the players I was looking at using the transfer on but can't see anyone worth bring in with the money I have maybe do Shaw>Turner as Shaw only really has two matches he can be used in the next 9/10 GWs.

Shaw>GJ is also an option but have Ming and don't massively fancy doubling up also could go Azpi do you think he is going to keep on getting the minutes?

Is there anyone I have missed who is worth bringing in for Shaw or De Guzman with the 1.2m in the bank? Budget for Shaw replacement would be £5.8m and for De Guzman replacement would be £6.9m.

Rat -----> Mert OR Glen Johnson on a FT.
(N.B) Already have Mignolet and Suarez, 3 Liv seems like overkill especially when Coutinho isn't in the mix so I'm leaning towards Mertesacker atm.

Possibly, I had a look at him, at he certainly has the potential to create a lot of assists in a high scoring City side. He is a real outside right though, his scoring potential is diminished compared to many other wingers and his game time just isn't assured enough given his price. I mean really, what sets him apart from Januzaj at this moment in time?
Good luck if you take the gamble though, I admire a maverick selection.

He already is. And It's been deliberate and I expect he will not start in a fair few games:
But I bet my socks you will see him in every game, however he is utilized.

Transitional team is gelling now at a fast pace and I think this away mentality is a blip. Navas/ Nergredo are the managers hot potatoes. Of course Aguero is the main man there along with Silva but ignore these players at your peril.

I don't think they are particularly mad. Something may crop up next week that changes your mind on those transfers. But bringing RavMo in is a good thing I think. West Ham are going to be desperate to score goals in the coming matches, good fixtures and RavMo should be a part of it.

He seems to have earned his place in the team, his delivery is very good, and he seems to do well in the bonus system. Unfortunately, as well as Saints have played this season, they haven't been prolific going forward. I would still maintain some doubts about his gametime in the longterm, especially with Christmas coming up, I think he would be more susceptible to rotation than others. Terrific little player, there are lots of positives, but definite reservations. Will prob be more consistent/less explosive than Januzaj.

Wouldn't bother with Myhill as Foster's back soon.

More flexibility with getting a defender in I suppose.

Probs could just ride the storm out with Boruc?

      Play Boruc and bench Clyne.

        I'll have this then...

        Boruc
        Dawson(MU) G.Johnson(hul) Burner(ARS) (Clyne/Williams)

        🙁

Hmmm, what about a Villa or West Ham defender?

No faith in either to be honest but who for?

Williams has disappointed but his next 3 after this GW are good fixtures.
Clyne is a great attacking option in a stingy defence who has Villa next GW.
Dawson has tricky fixtures over the next 4, away against shitty teams.
            Happy with the other two.

Once past this GMWK Dawson's fixtures don't look that bad, but if you want to ship him then get JT. Your front 8 are similar to mine and once I have shipped Ozil for Walcott next week, then I'll be switching Boruc to De Gea soon afterwards.

This bit concerns me.... "Once past this week", hahaha...

If I go for JT then I can not afford Rooney. Will be stuck with a Lukaku or Benteke etc...

I have same plan for Boruc and Ozil actually. 🙂

Same decision I had to make, but finally decided that having Rooney would unbalance my team so I've gone without and had to make do with Lukaku bagging in 2 past pool, and looked on in disappointment when the ref didn't send Ronney off!

            Thanks Lardy.
Am leaning towards either saving Transfer or shifting Clyne now.
Will post some options up on the new page.
