After last night’s single goal encounter at Selhurst Park, we brace ourselves for the remaining nine Gameweek 14 fixtures this evening. Luis Suarez carries the armband hopes of many a Fantasy manager into this evening’s home game with Norwich, Wayne Rooney will be hoping to maintain his fine form against former club Everton, whilst Sergio Aguero travels to The Hawthorns, where the hosts conceded twice against goal-shy Villa in the previous match in front of their own fans:
Here’s a heads-up on the main news from this evening’s line-ups:
The major shock arrives at the Emirates where Nicklas Bendtner starts up front for Arsenal in place of Olivier Giroud. Theo Walcott is benched again as Arsene Wenger keeps faith in Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil, despite fears of rotation. James Chester is back in the Hull XI for the first time since recovering from a hamstring injury – he replaces the suspended Curtis Davies.
Paul Lambert drops Christian Benteke to the bench for Villa’s trip to Southampton, as Libor Kozak gets the nod in a 3-5-2 for the midlands outfit. Jose Fonte is benched for the hosts, as Maya Yoshida partners Dejan Lovren in central defence. Rickie Lambert replaces Pablo Osvaldo up top, whilst Paolo Gazzaniga and Steven Davis come in for the injured Artur Boruc and Morgan Schneiderlin.
Vincent Kompany is back for City’s trip to West Brom, though Alvaro Negredo is surprisingly replaced by Edin Dzeko up front. For the hosts, Stephane Sessegnon is benched as Steve Clarke makes three changes to his side.
Philippe Coutinho returns to the Liverpool XI for the visit of Norwich, as do Daniel Agger and Joe Allen, with Victor Moses, Kolo Toure and Lucas dropping out. Gary Hooper is omitted from the Canaries XI as Chris Hughton drafts in Bradley Johnson and switches to one up top.
Willian, Juan Mata and Eden Hazard line up behind Fernando Torres for Chelsea’s trip to Sunderland. Frank Lampard also returns to the XI for the Blues – Steven Fletcher is replaced by Jozy Altidore for the Black Cats, with Jack Colback coming in for Seb Larsson in midfield.
Marko Arnautovic makes a quick recovery for Stoke’s trip to Cardiff, though Jon Walters drops to the bench for the Potters. Marc Wilson also comes in after last weekend’s hammering at Goodison, while Malky Mackay makes a couple of alterations for the hosts.
Rafael returns to the starting line-up for United – Chris Smalling partners Nemanja Vidic at centre-half as Jonny Evans drops to the bench. Robin Van Persie is missing yet again, allowing Shinji Kagawa to tuck in behind Wayne Rooney. Ross Barkley and Kevin Mirallas replace Leon Osman and Gerard Deulofeu for Everton at Old Trafford.
Jermain Defoe leads the line for Tottenham’s trip to Fulham, as Roberto Soldado shifts to the bench. Etienne Capoue and Erik Lamela also find a place in the visitors’ XI, whilst new Cottagers boss Rene Meulensteen makes seven changes to his starting line-up.
As always on Matchdays, we’ve opened up our Dugout Discussion chatroom right up until the final whistle for those looking to get involved in a spot of real-time banter.
