Gameweek nine is concluded today with the final three fixtures taking place. The first of a televised double-bill, sees Manchester United take that dreaded annual trip to the Britannia Stadium.

There’s no surprise that Wayne Rooney is an absentee for the visitors, and that hands an opportunity to young Javier Hernandez to partner Dimitar Berbatov upfront. Elsewhere, Gary Neville gets a game a right-back, pushing John O’Shea into a midfield position.

The home side line-up as predicted. Boring…

Stoke City XI: Sorensen, Huth, Shawcross, Faye, Collins, Pennant, Wilson, Delap, Etherington, Walters, Jones

Man United XI: Van der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, O’Shea, Scholes, Nani, Hernandez, Berbatov

Then it’s off to Eastlands for the interesting match-up between Man City and Arsenal, where I need a Tevez no-show to stand any chance of a round three place in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III.

That games kicks off at 4pm, but before that (and untelevised thankfully) is Blackburn’s visit to Anfield at 3pm.

For up-to-the-minute fantasy updates, head over to our Dugout Discussion for the day’s action where, if Morrissey1986 is in attendance, you’ll get goal alerts before they’re even broadcast.

    Elmohamady - O'Shea = Coleman - Foley - Alex

    Bale - Fabregas - Dempsey - Barton - Malouda

    Drogba - Tevez - Odemwingie

a bit of everton looks tempting. (jagielka, arteta, cahill)
if silva looks the real deal again today he could be a great differential too.

good team otherwise. shame about alex and odemwingie, there's been good points on offer for those two in the past 2 gws

He screams at anyone who doesn't either:

        1) Play him the ball when he wants it
        2) Scores from the run of the play like he could

He bitches more than any other player in the pitch. His detached personality and playing style coupled with this massive ego would make playing him him very difficult. I could see how Rooney wanted out.

Can an 8 point hit ever be justified?

Not for the purposes of injuries but would need to make 3 changes to bring in Fabregas. Don't want to miss out on a bonanza week (as captain) v West Ham.

Thinking of taking Malouda out for him......

I've got two free transfers and am pondering two options. Seeing as Bosingwa is back from a long lay off he isn't a guaranteed starter and might be a bit injury prone. Then again he's as cheap as hell and offers attacking potential.

    A
    Malouda - Fabregas
    Evra - Boswinga (or equivalent)

    B
    Nani - Fabregas
    Nasri - Brunt
Evra - Bosingwa, Ivanovic or Alex (have about 6.5 to spare)
