Gameweek nine is concluded today with the final three fixtures taking place. The first of a televised double-bill, sees Manchester United take that dreaded annual trip to the Britannia Stadium.

There’s no surprise that Wayne Rooney is an absentee for the visitors, and that hands an opportunity to young Javier Hernandez to partner Dimitar Berbatov upfront. Elsewhere, Gary Neville gets a game a right-back, pushing John O’Shea into a midfield position.

The home side line-up as predicted. Boring…

Stoke City XI: Sorensen, Huth, Shawcross, Faye, Collins, Pennant, Wilson, Delap, Etherington, Walters, Jones

Man United XI: Van der Sar, Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Fletcher, O’Shea, Scholes, Nani, Hernandez, Berbatov

Then it’s off to Eastlands for the interesting match-up between Man City and Arsenal, where I need a Tevez no-show to stand any chance of a round three place in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup III.

That games kicks off at 4pm, but before that (and untelevised thankfully) is Blackburn’s visit to Anfield at 3pm.

For up-to-the-minute fantasy updates, head over to our Dugout Discussion for the day’s action where, if Morrissey1986 is in attendance, you’ll get goal alerts before they’re even broadcast.

I see. Let me follow up: the transfer penalty points are deducted from the overall score, and NOT the gameweek score, am I right?

Yes BUT transfer points are taken out of the gameweek score in the cup though.

Nah, it's a 3 match ban, so he'll miss the West ham game, and the cup game at Newcastle.

I wouldn't consider him a serious fantasy option anyway, Denilson had a good game today, and Diaby's going to get starts too.

I always seem to have a higher rank than the guy who gets the highest gameweek score.

Obviously I'd rather be higher ranked but I want a week where every one of my players performs I get 4 clean sheets and a defender scores!

It's usually the case that the highest score is a bad team. They just happen to have average players who all perform in the one week.

i think the key issues for the evening are whther fabregas and tevez are injured, and to a lesser extent arteta. Therefore, its a waste of time deciding on transfers until information is on board. EVEN, to save.1 million, which, i'd like to point out, is ONE THOUSANDTH, or the budget.

I would therefore posit that it's a complete wate of time for any of us to be thinking out loud on transient transfer thoughts. Much better to spend our time plotting to bomb the Irish apprentice house, all RTE sportspresenters (particularly ryle Nugent, and that fat fool that does the 'in depth' aspect and talks pure shite), and bringing down the Irish government, by violent, appaling acts visited on developers, bribed councillors, and Fianna Fail TD's that have basically turned our country into a meaningless clearing house for international banking.

Oh, and if youve any time left, lets get those fu*kers jedward, and string them up, slowly.

    Discuss.

Could someone offer some WC advice (I've just played mine)

Is it worth transferring in Cole, Brunt etc, (who rise tonight) in the hope they rise again before 11.30am saturday morning? Trying to make a small bit of cash? Is a double rise likely?
