Kieran Gibbs is out for Arsenal, though Olivier Giroud is likely to return to the XI. Southampton could be boosted by the potential return of Dejan Lovren against West Ham. Robbie Brady is ruled out again for Hull. Cardiff are set to be without Mark Hudson for the rest of the season, whilst Oussama Assaidi faces weeks on the sidelines for Stoke:

Arsene Wenger has ruled Kieran Gibbs out of Arsenal’s home encounter with Sunderland. The left-back has failed to recover from the hamstring problem that forced him off against Bayern Munich in midweek, though the Gunners boss has hinted at a first-team return for Olivier Giroud as part of his “refreshment plan for the weekend”.

Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that Dejan Lovren and Gaston Ramirez may return to Southampton’s squad for the weekend visit to Upton Park after stepping up their recoveries from ankle injuries. The Saints boss has ruled out defender Jos Hooiveld with an eye problem against the Hammers.

Gus Poyet has hinted he may leave Lee Cattermole out for Sunderland’s trip to Arsenal, with one eye on the upcoming Capital One Cup Final. Steven Fletcher is back in training for the Black Cats but is still lacking in match fitness – Poyet has yet to decide whether the Scot will be included for the Emirates clash.

Stoke boss Mark Hughes has revealed that winger Oussama Assaidi will be out of action for “at least a number of weeks” after damaging knee ligaments during the Potters’ training camp in midweek. There is positive news on defender Robert Huth, with Hughes confirming that the German has returned to training as he steps up his comeback after recent knee problems. Elsewhere, Andy Wilkinson and Matty Etherington are back in contention for the trip to the Etihad after showing no ill-effects to the injuries that had sidelined them up till now.

Pepe Mel has ruled Claudio Yacob out for the weekend through injury, and the midfielder joins striker Nicolas Anelka on the sidelines for the visit of Fulham. West Brom will be boosted by the return of a trio of players though, with Jonas Olsson, Stephane Sessegnon and Billy Jones all in contention to feature at the weekend after overcoming their respective injuries.

Hull defender Liam Rosenior could return for the trip to Cardiff after missing the last game with a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, the club will assess both James Chester and Sone Aluko after their lengthy absences, whilst Steve Bruce is set to be without the services of Robbie Brady as he struggles with an ongoing groin problem.

Cardiff’s injury troubles have grown with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirming that club captain Mark Hudson is expected to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

So my team is being dismantled by injuries and blanks, but I still have a WC to play.

Given that I currently have only 8 for GW28 and just 5 for GW29, how should I play the next few GW's?

    A. WC GW28 and get a team to cover the blanks, then take hits for DGW's like non-WC owners.
    B. Take 2 8 point hits GW28 and GW29 and save the WC for the doubles.
    C. Abandon GW29 using just frees/maybe 4 point hits and save WC.

    Cheers

I'd plump for C. Can't see anyone scoring too heavily in GW29, even if they field XI so you shouldn't suffer too much then. Better to save the WC and hit the DGWs hard I reckon.

Yep just had a quick look at potential GW29 players and nothing looks great, my most recent plan had Mitroglou and 2 West Ham players as part of an 8 point hit...

I take it there's no chance of fixtures being re-arranged for the same GW?

It hasn't been entirely ruled out but it seems pretty unlikely - better to make plans on the assumption those fixtures stay blank in my opinion.

Also, worth bearing in mind that if Hull beat Brighton in their replay the West Ham - Hull game disappears from GW29 too. I wouldn't bring in any Hammers for a hit just yet!

Hello everyone!! A couple of questions if you lot would please,

    A) Would you sell AJ and play his replacement - or - Bench AJ, Save FT and play Noone (HUL)? ............Problem with this is I want AJ out next week anyway, and I'm not too keen on playing him this week either so I'm thinking I might as well get him out now.

    B) If you are selling AJ, then who would you suggest getting in?

Trying to plan for the 3 GWs and Yaya is the only one worth getting. I like Dzeko, think he's more effective than Negredo but not sure Pellegrini thinks so. Silva is pure class but not reflected in FF points. Easy telling we're not too bothered about UFPL because we wouldn't go transferring in a City player this week in FPL.

nice plan with the WH players. Im going with 4-5-1 Saturday.
Planning for 3 wks. 2 City players go next week.

      Cech
      Ivanovic, Kompany, Koscielny,Collins
      Hazard(c) Yaya, Ox, Ince, Noble
      Long

bench- Lloris, Dawson, Suarez, Sturridge, Gerrard, Sterling, Adebayor

reserves- Springthorpe, Bacuna, Chambers,Ward, Chamakh, Olsson, Smith

All my bench plays Sunday so I can take Chelsea out if Everton score.
City players out next week for Everton players. Thoughts?

Is Fonte 100% nailed on with the potential return of Lovren? Still got those images of his gashed up leg in my head, oh and the curling... 😉

Really don't know, mate, it's a tough one. Ozil clearly needs a break, since he's completed more matches this season (already) than any of his previous ones. There's always the psychological matter, of course, but then again, there's nothing better than giving him a go against Sunderland at home. It could be his redemption, rather than just sitting him out and keep people talking about him. Knowing Wenger, I think he will start.

Shaping up like this for the weekend and saving my FT:

    Boruc
    Azpil, Sagna, Demel
    Noone, Cazorla, Hazard, Mata
    RvP (vc), Lambert, Suarez (C)

    Mannone, Mirallas, Bruce, Ward.

Anything you would change about the lineup? A good opportunity to save a transfer I think?

I have 2FT and 4.2m in bank. Which option would you go for?

A - Sterling to Lallana (no blanks)
B - Yoshida to Chambers (playing defender and saves cash for JRod to Aguero in GW30)

    Adrian (Speroni)
    Mert Azpi Coleman (Ward) (Yoshida)
    Hazard Yaya Mata Sterling (Noone)
    Suarez Sturridge JRod

In Ultimate FPL if I captained Hazard on Saturday, and he did OK but then I wanted to risk it and captain Suarez on the Sunday. Does that mean Hazard has to be taken out of my team or can he stay in my team with single points?

Hope that makes a tiny of sense...

If you keep him in you'll just get his normal points once you swap the armband to someone else, same as UCL.

Why would people buy Ince when you can buy Puncheon for 0.5m cheaper, and he's on pens and has good form?

Is he on penalties since he missed the penalty against Tottenham? Ince seems more explosive and I'll probably transfer him in for Januzaj next week if I see that he is nailed on.

Lambert owners don't be surprised to see him benched gw 28 vs pool Home if you look at his history he seems to be benched for these kind of games. E.G. last 3 big home games ARS CHE CITY played 45 mins in total!
