Gameweek 27 concludes with three matches that address both title ambitions and relegation concerns.

Liverpool’s credentials as title challengers will come under the spotlight as they clash with Swansea at Anfield. The visitors come into the game potentially leg weary after their fine performance against Napoli in the Europa League on Thursday. In contrast, Brendan Rodgers side will be fresh and looking build on their last two home appearances which has seen them claim nine goals against the Everton and Arsenal defences.

Elsewhere, Newcastle will be looking to stem the tide of three straight defeats without a goal as they face up to Villa at St James’ Park. Paul Lambert’s side will be seeking to come away from the North East with at least a point to consolidate their position outside of the relegation places.

Events then conclude at Carrow Road, with Norwich battling to keep themselves out of the bottom three and hoping to get a result against a Totteham outfit that struck four goals on their last away trip at Newcastle.

Look to our Twitter feed for all the lineup news, while our Dugout Discussion chatroom is now open for those looking to partake in some real-time banter.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      i agree, i said same thing b4.
Unless eriksen has a slight knock we're not aware, then makes littke sense fielding Dembele, Chadli, Capoue, Bentaleb. Surely one of these could be in bench for Eriksen to play along Lennon and paulinho. Sherwood needs to get some Videos of Eriksen's masterful games while at Ajax and even w/ Denmark... TS has to his credit turning Spurs' season around, ade in, etc, but still.

Was usually a backward jog towards the corner flag, and both arms pumping/thumbs pointing at his name on the shirt. If you can picture that. remember him doing that quite abit.

Cole's was pretty neat too, a simple run, jump and a fist pump while in the air

I have to do something because I don't want to waste a transfer. Presuming WHM - Hull will be cancelled, I am thinking of replacing either Mannone or Adrian with Ruddy or Boruc.

I was 0.1 short on getting Ruddy at the time. Can (and still possibly will) do it this week.
My Mutch -> Richardson move was a sneaky little profit

        Reminds me of this joke.

"The Ferrari F1 team fired their entire pit crew yesterday."

This announcement followed Ferrari's decision to take advantage of the British government's 'Work for your Dole' scheme and employ some Liverpudlian youngsters.

The decision to hire them was brought about by a recent documentary on how unemployed youths from Toxteth were able to remove a set of wheels in less than 6 seconds without proper equipment, whereas Ferrari's existing crew could only do it in 8 seconds with millions of pounds worth of high tech equipment.

It was thought to be an excellent, bold move by the Ferrari management team as most races are won and lost in the pits, giving Ferrari an advantage over every other team.

However, Ferrari got more than they bargained for! At the crew's first practice session, not only was the scouse pit crew able to change all four wheels in under 6 seconds but, within 12 seconds, they had re-sprayed, re-badged and sold the car to the Mclaren team for 8 cases of Stella, a bag of weed and some photos of Lewis Hamilton's bird in the shower.

            Just an example

Leeds clinched the title at Anfield. A defeat for Leeds might have swung the championship towards the home team, but Leeds held out and won the title. When the Liverpool players left the pitch, the Leeds players didn't know what to do with themselves. Walking towards the Kop, they were unsure of the reception they'd get from the 53,750 fans packed inside Anfield.

One Leeds player raised his hand towards the Kop and then the others followed suit. At first there was silence, then the applause started and it just didn't stop. The reaction from the Kop that night is legendary.

"To stand there as a Leeds player and be cheered by the Kop that was something," claimed Charlton after the game. "I'll never forget it." Don Revie enthused: "It was simply fantastic, What a great gesture. You would have thought their team had won the league!"

        99/00 - Yorke (20), Cole (19) goals

FPL must have been pretty fun in the 4-4-2 era with goals galore. But yeah, definitely alot of good partnerships in the past. Pity Liverpool the only fruitful team that plays with 2 strikers.
