As it is now a lot of midfielders are not realistic options as they are to defensive.
Great players that is amongsg the best st whst they do, but as rules are they are just not viable options.
A way to change this would be to set aside 1 of the chosen/played mids in a defensive mid place.
This place would get more points then the 1p now given for clean sheet but maybe less then a defender, so maybe 3 or the full 4 points.
Of course it would give a select few midfielders from City, Arsenal and Chelsea (for example) that produce forward and is in a team that still keep lots of clean sheets even more points.
But the aim would be to make more midfielders viable options, as it is now loads of great players are in ridiculously few teams.Open ControlsMark jr?

Jedinak was definitely a viable option as a squad member. He sat on my bench quite happily from GW1 until January, when I made the unfortunate decision to replace him with Scott Parker.
I preferred MF6987's idea a few days ago of reducing the number of categories to 3 (goalkeepers, defensive players and attacking players).
Defenders and defensive midfielders would then be included in the defensive category, and attacking midfielders and forwards in the attacking category.
There could be a slight problem with attacking defenders, otherwise known as wing-backs - or with midfielders who attack as well as defend, such as Ramsey and Gerrard, but these problems can be alleviated by setting their prices at an appropriate level.
I would also be quite happy to leave things as they are. But keep the defensive midfielders cheap, or else make it easier for them to earn more bonus points.Open Controls

Classification of players is already an issue, for example Walcott is a midfielder, but Podolski a striker in FPL, when they play a virtually identical role in the side, just on different flanks.
