End of Season Awards – Defender Voting Now Open

With almost two thousand votes now gathered in the goalkeeper of the season poll, itโ€™s time to move our Team of the Season voting on to the defence.

Our new poll is now open on the front page. You have four votes available to you, allowing you to select the group of defenders that you feel have had the biggest impact on our Fantasy season. As before, you should take into account not only their point returns, but also their value from Fantasy perspective.

Your votes will help shape our thinking for our Team of the Season โ€“ with coverage beginning early next week. A midfielders poll will follow tomorrow evening with voting on forwards taking place over the weekend.

        i suppose he's done his time with Walter so I cant see there being too much difference in the way he goes about things, not to begin with anyway. Would possibly be too much of a risk to try to put his own spin on it immediately,

    Lots of talk about individual players to bring in (Fletcher, Berbatov, NZog etc.)

    ….but to rewind slightly, which TEAMS do people think are most likely to score the most goals this weekend? (bearing in mind whether they are desperate for points, home/away etc.)

    Ordinarily you might say Man U, Spurs. But not too much leaps out of the fixture list.

    It would be all very well Wigan saving their Premiership status by snatching a 1-0 win at Stoke, or Wolves and Blackburn playing out a stalemate, but that’s not going to put many fantasy points on the table.

      if it is, VDV i reckon won't play. The source on here the other day was his Twitter account. Of course, he's desperate to play but VDV to me, is quite fragile, injury prone etc.

      If Harry's got any sense, he'll rest him for this one, because VDV could easily worsen the injury and miss part of pre-season. So, IMO Van Der Vaart is benched at best.

    Modric will be my pick this week, no doubt about that. Everyone's jumping on N'Zogbia, but I need something different.

    In fact, Modric will probably be my captain with our without VDV. Obviously, I would prefer VDV not to play, as that would mean Modric would be on penalties.

    So yeah, a Spurs win and Modric is sure to benefit from that.

    Evening all,

    I have a 71 point lead in my mini league for a big cash prize so i'm pretty happy I can't mess it up now. Only issue is we also do a highest gameweek score every week for £30 and I would also like to try and win this for my hatrick of weekly wins.

    What will be the best way to play this - go all out and do four / five transfers or just be content with the one or two transfers and see how it goes... Heres the team:

      I didnt need to. The only defender that has been in my squad for more than 1/3 of the season has been Coleman and so he was an automatic pick, after that I just went with the dream team more or less

      small program runs tally of your captain picking results for the year to date and percentage of your total score left on your bench. Runs on firefox and with a helper add-on called greasemonkey and an actual, small program called razza.
