With team news for Sunday’s games still rolling in and the Fantasy deadline pushed back by 24-hours, this week’s Scout Picks will follow on Saturday afternoon. In the meantime voting for our end of season awards goes on.

We’ve added the third of our polls today, collecting your votes on the midfielders who have lit up your Fantasy season. Once again you have four votes available to you, allowing the love to spread around an array of nominations.

Cast your votes now and pop back tomorrow for the Scout Picks, a preview of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup Final and an interview with Fantasy Premier League leader Chris McGurn.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      You've got a nice team. You might as well get some MU coverage though. Various ways to do this.

          No hit, Anderson for Yaya is one option.

          I'd feel naked without the Bulgarian, but then I'm defending a lead. You'd have to take a hit, obviously.

          Wingie for Berba, Luiz for Ward is one way to do this.

    Ok, so I already did one transfer, here are my remaining options

    Silva, Downing (Odem benched)

    Fletcher, Silva (Downing benched) -4

    Silva, Modric(odem benched) -4

    N'zog, Berba (Silva benched) -8

    I like the last one the most, but is it worth two hits?

      Cheers guys, didn't know Odem was definitely not playing, makes it a much easier decision now πŸ™‚

      Not sure if i might leave Huth in just in case he plays, can't see Hughes getting many points vs Arsenal, and if huth doesn't play he'll get subbed on anyway.

      Figured it's not worth extra transfer deductions for a defender at this stage of the season, so i'll just stick with minor points there.

        Arsenal's form is shocking (although RVP is always liable to score) so having hughes as an auto sub might work out fine.

    And then I remember how much I love this game.

      It shouldn't really take up much of your time though. Just do transfers Friday night/Saturday morning and that is it. What you mean is that you're on this site too much.

          I'm not sure. I actually find this site doesn't help sometimes, like if you have an opinion on something and someone pulls out a stat or something to argue against it then it can change your own opinion and you end up making the wrong decision.

          I've been making my transfers early lately just so I don't think about it for the rest of the week and I've been doing fine. Most of the time I think it works out well when you don't analyse it too much, I regretted going with Adam over Bale over the whole week and in the end Adam got 15 points and Bale got 3 a few weeks back.

            I kind of agree, but the one thing that undermines your argument is price changes. You need to know what's happening on that front.

            The Metro game is killable without much analysis. I'm 175 in the world on that and I barely give it any thought. No price changes in that though.

              Well yeah, but I see lots of people who just make their transfers on Friday/Saturday morning who still have very good team values.

              Basically, you should carry on doing it as you will definitely regret it a few weeks into the season if you don't and just play it more casually. Switch off from it until the weekend.

      1'm cutting down next year. Participatng n FPL, Metro (EPL and Europe), Sky, TFF (EPL & Europe, Sportal EPL, UEFA CL and EL, World Cup was too consuming.

      Joined too many leagues too.

      Going to concentrate on just a couple next year.

        I just do this and the Sky Sports one. Have a Championship team too but don't look at if often, just every couple of months to get the form players in etc.

        I always make a team for Champions League/Europa but after the first week I just can't be bothered. That McDonalds Fifa game last year was ridiculous, I stopped doing it after the first week and just did the Sky Sports one with some mates which was very enjoyable.

          I find if I do it without being in a league with mates I find it extremely boring and can't be bothered with it. I really don't get how some people play this game without being in any mini leagues with people they know and just randomers.

            I've loved the FFS H2H league this year (helps that i'm doing ok and that there is promotion to aim for). Playing on two fronts as well as trying to climb ranking has been challenging and fun. However I've paid scant attention to my other H2H leagues so i kinda agree with you

      Doubt are Odem, VDV, Silva, Huth, Djourou and luiz.

      Johnson and DJ up against it.

      Could bring in Nzog for VDV and berbatov for odem but your defence is fragile and you could end up with 9 men. Think about Enrique or Ward possibly

    Hi guys, 11 points behind my rival - hes taken a 4 point hit to bring in berba, and probably jarvis to match me (for vdv/odem)

    I have

    Hart (Harper)
    A Cole, Enrique, Elmohamady (Jones Luiz)
    Jarvid N'Zogbia Nani Modric (yaya)
    Rooney, RVP, Odem

    Obviously choice is rooney -> berba, but then im not sure. Can either play 3-5-2 since odem isnt playing and not take a hit, or i can get rid of odem for someone and take -4 same as rival

    His probable team is

    Hart
    Enrique, Shawcross, Luiz
    N'zog, Adam, Jarvis, demspey
    Berba (c) RVP Zamora

    Help please!

    In a tight league. My options seem to be...

    A:
    Suarez->Tevez
    Odemwingie->Campbell

    B:
    Odemwingie->Campbell
    Huth/Baird->defender

    C:
    Odemwingie->Campbell
    or
    Huth/Baird->defender
    (and not take the 4 point hit)

    I think I am leaning towards A and hoping that one of Luiz or Huth plays - although that hurt me last week. It might be me looking at the two teams I am fighting it out with and seeing if they take a hit.

    Current team:

    Foster (Schwarzer)

    Cole, Lolarov, Simpson (Luiz, Djourou)

    Kuyt, Adam, N'Zogbia, Malouda (VDV)

    Rooney, RVP, Odemwingie

    I'm 9 points behind my rival, he's already taken a -8 point hit for this week.

    Tempted to do these for an 8 point hit:

    Rooney -> Berbatov
    Odemwingie -> Tevez
    VDV -> Modric or O'Hara (bench Malouda)

    Thoughts? I could just get Berbatov or Tevez for Rooney and take no hits. Not sure what to do with Malouda.

          ur rival havin nani cud screw u big time as well, in ur position id be prepared to do modric to couter ur rival havin nani if he takes a hit otherwise take ur pick of either berbaw**k or tevev for potato head

              i always tend to go for the one extra hit than my rival when chasing 1-2 and back my judgement so one extra gives you the chance but im hardly the one to suggest holding back on transfers considering how many ive made 😳
              so c for me and maybe another with a wolvs mid was trying to put myself in ur position with points so tight....wud defo keep a very close eye on ur rivals trannys and have ur options ready depending on how many he makes

      Two CHS at EVR with Drogba uncertain to start ahead of Torres suggests that you might want to look here for benching options. My view is that this has a 0-0/1-1 look to the game so Lampard will give you sufficient coverage.

      I wouldn't take a hit trying to protect a lead.

      Your team isn't that bad though. Berba is so unreliable to give up Sturridge. A lack of Man U coverage is a worry but at least you have Adam at that game.

      Like above, I'd be tempted to do what I'm thinking of doing, bringing in Modders for VDV.

        After not looking all week to brace myself for the final weekend I see that Odem and VDV are confirmed out Huth and Silva don't look too healthy can someone please lend a hand to what the hell I should do with my team. I'm about 20 points ahead in my league.

        Currently lining up like this

        Foster, Bergovic

        Huth, Luiz, Hangeland, Walker, R Johnson

        Silva, VDV, Lampard, Adam, Walters

        RVP, Odem, Suarez

        I was thinking of doing, VDV, Odem > N'Zog, Berba however my rival has

        Foster, Bergovic, Luiz, Adam, Walters Suarez, RVP with Modric, Kuyt, Drogba as differentials to my team.

        so I could ship VDV straight to Modric and then do Odem to Berbatov. That is a 4 point hit but is it worth doing another hit to secure another starter?

        Silva > ....N'Zog?

        Wanted to get Tevez in but there seems no point to ship out Suarez to Tevez when I sitting pretty at the top. Unless it would be better to get Tevez over Berbatov.

        Lots of questions I know but if anyone has thoughts on my selection issues lets hear them...Cheers.

          No hits with a lead.

          Your only trade is either VDV or Odem. Not too sure on Silva's situation but leave him in just in case he starts.

          The Modric option makes sense as it negates the differential and gives you a decent points scoring opportunity.

          Interestingly, I very rarely look at my opponent's team when considering a transfer. My advice would be to play the strongest team out there regardless.

          ...and of course, no hits! πŸ˜‰

              Cheers....thinking the same with your Modders comments as above.

              I can roll with this team and if it looks like Silva won't play or I see my rival has made 3 hits then I may plump for Odem > Tevez or Berba. With no hits and my rival taking 1 AT LEAST I'll be 30 points ahead so hopefully that will be enough.

              Bergovic

              Walker, Hangeland, R Johnson

              Silva, Adam, Lampard, Modric, Walters

              RVP, Suarez

          Any suggestions would be appreciated.

            Odem to Fletcher would be my trade to give you a bit of a decent differential. You'd end up with a few benching dilemnas though which in a way is a nice position to be in πŸ™‚

            You may as well keep Nani as your oppo has him too. However, he could be a useful differential to catch your leader.

              I assume the two will get rid of VdV and Odemwingie themselves (on the assumption they realise they are out). The guy that is equal with me did a transfer yesterday, so I am guessing it was Odem out. Since he has stuff all in the bank he might have got Campbell in.

                I'm in exactly the same quandary, Perthite.

                Not being sure whether Nani will play probably adds to your confusion more than mine though.

                Odem to Fletcher could work out well for you though.

                  Thanks - will keep that in mind. Was thinking Campbell, so that gives me another option since I already have Adam. The possible hit will be either defence or Suarez to Tevez. The latter is tempting but maybe since Suarez is probably playing then maybe not worth doing.

            Taking Modric out for Maxi last week was a disaster for me. There's one bandwagon that turned out only to have three wheels. πŸ™

            People are getting modric? One of the most in form players in the prem with a brilliant fixture? I can't make sense of it, must be some sort of wierd kiwi logic!
