We’re looking for more of the same in this evening’s trio of fixtures after last night’s matches served up 10 goals. The first match on our agenda sees Colombia take on Greece, with many Fantasy managers looking to James Rodriguez and Juan Cuadrado to make the difference for the South Americans:

Colombia: Ospina; Armero, Zapata, Yepes, Zúñiga; Rodríguez, Aguilar, Sánchez, Cuadrado; Ibarbo, Gutiérrez.

Greece: Karnezis; Holebas, Papastathopoulos, Manolas, Torosidis; Maniatis, Katsouranis, Kone; Samaras, Gekas, Salpingidis.

In the absence of the injured Radamel Falcao, the Colombian’s start with Teofilo Gutierrez in attack, with Jackson Martínez, Adrián Ramos and Carlos Bacca kept in reserve on the bench. Meanwhile, the Greeks are without defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos due to a muscle injury and opt to leave Fulham’s hitman, Kostas Mitroglou, benched with Theofanis Gekas set to lead the line.

After the dust settles on the early kick-off, we move onto Group D at 8pm. Luis Suarez will be hoping to feature against underdogs Costa Rica as he bids to recover from minor knee surgery, while fellow forward Edinson Cavani looks a real under the radar options for Oscar Tabarez’ side, with a comfortable victory expected.

The late kick-off sees Roy Hodgson’s England begin their campaign with a testing clash against the Italians. Wayne Rooney is expected to retain his place alongside Daniel Sturridge after some disappointing friendly displays, while Danny Welbeck could well get the nod ahead of Raheem Sterling on the flank after recovering from injury. Despite an array of attacking options, the Three Lions’ prospects may well depend on their ability to nullify the creativity of Andrea Pirlo in the centre of the park.

Do you think Rojo and Schaer will beat 7 and 5 points for Ramos and Holebas? I'm assuming Mesbah and Montazeri can be ignored...

I do wonder whether Pearce's grasp of modern football costs is a little out of sync with the real world. I shall keep my fingers crossed though. It's a shame Roy left to manage an inferior team of course 😉

So, is neymar worth keeping as captain with similar scores being so frequent?
These points have been awarded in just 5/16 matches:

Roy dropping Lallana and going with a very bold attacking 4 it seems:

    Hart
    Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines
    Henderson Gerrard
    Welbeck Rooney Sterling
    Sturridge

That could frighten a few teams if and big if the balls can be played into the right areas quickly.

He could then bring on the 6th LFC player in Lambert and play DS out wide.

There are options if he wanted to keep that shape, but it means moving tired players into another position, which is where mistakes are made.
