With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the  Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please encourage those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial lineups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

First up, I’ve decided to post my current lineup. I’ve opted for a squad that has a spread of money across the positions, with two rotating goalkeepers and a strong focus on the four to five teams I think are most likely to profit from goals and clean sheets. It also shows a strong bias towards those teams with favourable early fixtures and, hopefully, it’s set up to be flexible enough to make quick early repairs.

Guzan (Krul)

Terry Evans NTaylor (Wisdom, Duff)

Ramsey Hazard Mata Henderson (Albrighton)

Rooney Adebayor Dzeko

0.5m in the bank

My main deliberation surrounds whether to go with Diego Costa up front and and an 8.5 midfielder, probably Rahaeem Sterling, instead of my current selection of Emmanuel Adebayor and Eden Hazard. That gives me a Gameweek 2 option to possibly swap one of Jordan Henderson or Sterling for Gylfi Sigurdsson, although I’m happy to keep both those Liverpool midfielders if a transfer is urgently required elsewhere. I do feel that Hazard will be the top source of Chelsea points, however.

Alternatively, I could stick with Hazard and a 9.0 striker. Of this group, the main options seem to be Romelu Lukaku and Adebayor. This also gives me flexibility to hop on any emerging strikers who show promise for 8.5 or less. As you can see, I’m currently favouring this option.

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMT’s throughout the day on this article.

siggy to albrighton (no need for 5 1st team mids)
      Elliot to ddg
      caulker to rio

I reckon Krul / Foster is a good rotation for first few weeks too

GW1 team taking shape. Hows it looking?

    De Gea
    Huth, Cahill, PVA
    Hoilett, Ramsey, Mata, Hazard
    Rooney (c), Costa, Fletcher

    Gilks, Sigurdsson, Ward, Saylor

Also considering Nasri, Sanchez, Henderson, Eriksen and Remy if I could squeeze one of them in somehow, but I like the balance of the team.

Could free up funds with Huth > Cameron and Ward > Mariappa if there are any clues about them starting the season. But on the whole the defence rotates well and I think they're all defensively sound.

I'd avoid Cameron and Mariappa, too much uncertaintiy with regards who will start in defence. Better to spend 0.5 mill extra and have a player that starts.

If you are focusing on a 3-4-3 formation, I'd look to upgrade Fletcher if you have the funds.

Hoilett could be a decent differential.

I would upgrade if I could. But unless I can afford a 7.5 striker (Remy probs) I don't think anyone is as good value as Fletcher. He's looked decent pre-season and is a proven Prem goalscorer (providing he's fit). £5.5 mil is a steal IMO.

3-4-3 or 3-5-2 rotating Hoilett, Sig and Fletch. Looked at the ticker for the first few weeks and its usually pretty obvious which one to bench.

Cheeky RMT repost, help much appreciated!

    Official Premier League Team

GK: Krul/Foster – would go Krul/Mannone however I believe this offers a better home/away rotation
DF: O Shea/Ferdinand/B Davies/Taylor/Coloccini – I’m unsure on Ben Davies – my other option is Curtis Davies, I am fairly happy with this as I believe these are dead cert starters, plus can offer the good chance for rotation.
MF: Young (Am I mad!?), Sanchez, Mata, Hazard, Sigurdsson – Fairly happy with the core of my midfield – still considering De Jong and Snodgrass to replace Young
ST – Austin, Rooney, Costa (Bojan was the other option to downgrade Austin and to upgrade Young to Snodgrass)

I also need help for Sun Dream team league please gents – rules are slightly different as it for all games and not just FA Cup and my planning was to include defenders from teams that are competing in Europe this season.

    GK – McGregor
    DF - Davies, B, Debuchy, M, Coleman, S, Davies, C
MF – Mata, Ramsey, Siggy - (Debating Silva vs Mata, as Silva will participate in European games whilst Mata won’t although I think Mata will be the better choice as he is in form) (Debating Siggy for Érik Lamela
    ST – Rooney/Costa/Sturridge

    Thanks in advance 😀

Too many playing time risks. Cameron, Ibe, Jovetic. Albrighton only has value as a fifth Mid. You don't want him as your fourth. Lukaku's fixtures not the best to start. I'd downgrade him and spread thge cash. Toure could be hurting your cash balance as well.

Lambert, Bruce and Dummett are playing time risks. a consequence of the 4 big midfielders.I don't think the four mids are enough to carry the rest of the team. I'd downgrade one and spread the wealth. at 7.5 I'd rather have Pelle than Lambert unless Sturridge suffers an injury.

    Begovic / Gilks
    Luis Ward Cameron Ferdinand Wisdom
    Hazard Mata Eriksen Henderson Albrighton
    Rooney Costa Dzeko

    Question :
Should I upgrade Ward to Debuchy and downgrade Dzeko to Jovetic?

    Or its already good?

    Thanks

I would not pick Debuchy, due to bad fixtures...strong team.

I think I've settled on this team, until further notice. I reckon it's fairly balanced. Made a few changes here and there. Thoughts?

    DDG
    Luis, Caulker, Chambers
    Lamela, Ramsey, Fabregas, Mata
    Rooney, Jovetic, Bojan

    (Myhill, Siggy, Ward, Clyne)

    All replies and suggestions welcome

    Cheers.

    Going for something different.

    Green. (Speroni)

    Lovren. Shaw. Luis. (Wisdom. Robertson)

    Hazard. Sanchez. Mata. Sterling. (Albrighton)

    Rooney. Bojan. Austin.

The front two are a gamble, but looking at their fixtures I reckon worth the risk. Probably downgrade Lovren so that I can change Albrighton with someone who rotates with Austin.

I am okay with this lot of players for GW 1

    Foster ( Krul)
Caulker, Cahill, Cameron ( Wisdom, N Taylor)
Ramsey, Mata, Dejong, Young ( Siggy)
    Rooney, Dzeko, Costa

If Dejong isnt fit I will transfer him out for Schurrie/ Matic ( differential).
I guess Schurrie is back in training after a great world cup and next 2 friendlies if he is nailed on I will take a punt on him. Also CHE GW1 is on Monday which will favour him.

Any thoughts on the differential team guys?

      I like it.

Don't go for Matic. He is a defensive midfielder.

      Lloris to Krul.

      Herrera to Tadic

Try to get Sanchez in there.

    Good enough?

    Krul, Elliot
Terry, Shaw, B Davies, Moore, Duff
    Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen, Sigurdsson, Albrighton
    Rooney, Costa, Austin

I will only play Moore and Duff sparingly. To me personally, they seem the safest 4m defensive picks. As for Ben Davies, I think that he will play. If he does not, then i can simply transfer him out.

Like it a lot....would switch Terry to Cahill or Luis though, think they are more nailed on...
If you downgrade Shaw to Evans, you could upgrade pne of 4.0 to playing 4.5....
But anyway, very strong team indeed!

Not bad if u are willing to play 2/3 out of Siggy, Albrighton and Bojan every GW. I guess thats the price for having Sanchez and Hazard.

IMO, 9/10 teams going for 3-5-2 is having the same problem. No way (IMO) u only want one premium striker. What happens when (!) Costa, Aguero, Sturridge or RvP goes mental? Chances are u will have to downgrade 2 players (taking hits) to get one of them in.

The point is that this looks so flexible. The same can be said of Yaya

If I go 3-4-3, these are the changes I could make

        Sanchez + Zamora => Costa + Wanyama

Agree, but my point is that (IMO) u need 2 premium strikers no matter what system u are playing. 🙂
It´s not a bad team, and instead u have the premium Hazard+Sanchez that could turn out great for u.
