With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen’s inclusion was reliant on his move to Manchester United, which now looks to have fallen through. Who should he replace him with?

He concedes Charles N’Zogbia is a huge punt in midfield. Is it a gamble too far? Alexis Sanchez is an insurance policy and he feels he can easily downgrade the Arsenal midfielder to his cheaper team mate Aaron Ramsey.

  not a fan of 4-4-2. You can switch Janmaat to Coloccini to save 0.5 and there are better options at 4.0 than S.Taylor (Moore, Wisdom, Hutton)

  Good team, but unsure about Luis will be set on with azpilicueta and ivanovic to compete. Would also consider Coutinho instead of Sterling. 0.5 cheaper and is set to be the "main man" in liverpool this season according to the Brendan Rodgers. He has been good pre-season, and today got an assist and goal.

    That would mean zero cityplayers. Since aguero and negredo is out in the start, Jovetic is certain to start in the beginning. He has been good pre-season too.

Okay guys, I've changed my team numerous times so some help would be much appreciated.

I'm a bit worried about the lack of Man City coverage and I'm so unsure about defenders, miralles and wickham.

The volatile Cameron/Bardsley situation has lead me to make changes in the defence since I cannot spare the 0.5m to upgrade to Pieters/Huth. Money is tight and I value 5 strong rotaters over 3 big hitters and 2 non-players so I've gone from:

I can't get past Jutkiewicz's 6 goals pre-season. I know there's no Mata, Hazard or Fab but I think it's fairly balanced, includes a few punts but doesn't veer too far from the template. What do you think?

  Solid team, but I would be careful of Young as he is not certain to get playtime. Maybe Coutinho instead of Sterling too perhaps? Will free up 0.5, and Coutinho has had a very good pre-season, plus Rodgers praises him. Today he got a goal and assist vs Dortmund.

Today has seen me think twice about Sanchez and give Ramsey some more credit.

GK - Krul / (Myhill)

DEF - Debuchy / Lovren / Caulker / (Bruce, Wisdom)

MID - Hazard / Mata / Sterling / Ramsey / (Albrighton)

FWD - Costa / Rooney / Bojan

What we thinking here lads?

Previous to this i had:

Lovren > Shaw
Ramsey > Sanchez
Sterling > Siggerdson
Myhill > Mannone

A or B....??

  keep it like this. Albrighton is injured, I would switch Lovren to Evans/Jones and try to upgrade Bruce to Chester, you can get 0.5 by switching Caulker to Rio. Also get Elliot instead of Myhill

    Seen he was injured but not worried as i don't plan to use him from the off which is good.
    I am concerned about my two 4.0 defenders however i'm reluctant to take away both caulkers and Lovrens goal threats and just be reliant on just clean sheets.... That one is frustrating me. IMO i should not need to use the 4.0 defenders with the midfield i have, 3-4-3 should be me throughout....
    
    Whats the deal with Myhill then, does he even play..?

      Up to you on the def if your planing on keeping them switch Bruce to Moore or Hutton both have a better chance of starting. Myhill is second choice to Foster, if you get Elliot and Krul gets injured Elliot starts so you dont need to wast a transfer.

  Agree with you on the Ramsey>Sanchez. Caulker I would reconsider. He is 5m, and QPR dont have the best fixtures. Coutinho > Sterling imo.

    Thanks mate. I might stick with for the mo with the comfort that i can easily swap around easily without much work. At some point there will be a 2013/14 Lallana, Ramsey, Sterling band wagon come along in mid which should free up money for a stronger defence in a couple months. That's how it worked out for me last year...! until then trying to cover as many bases as possible.

  I think Krul would be a good keeper option. City are on the road for the first fixture against him and then he has some solid weeks after that.
  
  Henderson could be swapped for Siggerdson on the basis he has dead ball duties.
  
  Think a team without Mata is a team leaking serious points from the start this year so good work on that...

  Looks strong up top, over a season i'd go Krul or Mannone or even Foster over Green. Wisdom doesn't look as nailed on as Bartley or Bruce

  Defence seems a little all over the shop to me. In my opinion you want defenders with attacking threat for goals or assists...one mistake and you've lost that clean sheet but a goal keeps the points coming in still....

    It's a bit of pot luck surely which defender will be the high scoring ones going forward each year, barring Baines.
    
    Skrtel never scored more than 2 and then last year he got 7.
    
    Hangelaand once scored 6 goals in a season, and Kaboul is a big guy feeding off Eriksen's deliveries, no reason why they can't score over similar players

Got £2m in the bank. Thinking of Bojan -> Pelle after GW1 depending how things go. Defence is a bit week. Midfield & attack are cookie-cutter.

  Bruce, Bavies and Mannone are rotation risks. Vlaar is only good for 2 games and Lukaku isnt match fit yet. Also I wouldn't recommend keep that much in the bank.

  Great team!
  My two issues with this one
  1 Chambers. Sure, good for GW1 but after that? Might not play.
  2 Giroud. A bit risky IMO as Wenger has said he is not in form and might not play alot early?
