With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

The next up is our fixtures specialist Roscola.

Begovic – (Gilks)
Azpilicueta – Evans – van Aanholt – (Wisdom – Bartley)
Mata – Fabregas – Ramsey – Sterling – Sigurdsson
Rooney – Costa – (Zamora)

Roscola admits his team has a major flaw in that it is potentially benchless. He says though that he’s happy for QPR striker Bobby Zamora never to play, because this is a 3-5-2 that reverts to four at the back for first sub. He believes that there are more points available in the budget bracket in defence than further upfield. Sticking with this basic strategy he is looking for advice to find extra funds to invest in his bench. Downgrading Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas to Manchester City’s Samir Nasri is one option he is considering.

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMTs throughout the day on this article.

So, Van Gal is anounced list of 7 player that does not count: Zaha, Anderson, Felaini, Nani, Kean, Cicarito, Rafael...
Do you think that some of these players could go in another Premier league club...?
    Cicarito maybe in Spurs ?

I could see Everton going in for Hernandez, perhaps as a loan move. Even with Lukaku they're short of options up top.

Not a fan of Krul/Elliot. Nice defence, Azpil could well be the most nailed on Chelsea due to his versatility. I don't know enough about PvA as an individual player, but I think there are better defences accessible for 4.5m. Mid and Att are nice. Have you considered Lamela over Eriksen, he's eager to prove, starting in the hole and a promising differential.

Hi guys. Would really appreciate it if you RMT. First season really taking FPL seriously. I know it's a long post but I have a lot of questions.

    Manone
    Luis - Pieters - PVA
    Fabregas (v) - Mata - Ramsey - Eriksen
    Rooney (c) - Jovetic - Bojan
    ______________________________
    Krul - El Ahmadi - Targett - N. Taylor
    £3.5 mil iTB

I have a few dilemas ATM..
Should I be on the Siggy bandwagon regardless of Monk's 442 preference?
    Jovetic or Dzeko?
    No Liverpool coverage.
Should I have DDG or Begovic over my keepers?

      OVERALL RMT:

Can't rely on Bojan in a 3-4-3, but find if you are going to rotate him with someone - you need to find a player that rotates well with Stoke, that you can put in for 5th mid - then swap between 3-4-3 and 3-5-2.

This is what you should be spending your money on.

      ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS:

Should I be on the Siggy bandwagon regardless of Monk's 442 preference?

If he continues with 442, nobody will want Siggy.

      Jovetic or Dzeko?

Jovetic short-term, but keep the cash to upgrade to Dzeko when he stops playing.

      No Liverpool coverage.

Need to get one by GW4. Have a plan.

Should I have DDG or Begovic over my keepers?

Krul/Foster is safer for the same money; I think an upgrade is nice, but not essential. Better to get a rotating pair if you can.

The rest of your team is solid, all solid and playing for good clubs, so I think you can afford one punt in the form of Pelle - If he can carry his previous for under Koeman to the prem, he could be a great differential. Do you think Debuchy will deliver from outset?

Debating between Debuchy and Ward. Just realised that I can only upgrade Mannone if I downgrade Debuchy.

Can see Arsenal keeping a clean sheet in week 1, but then fixtures are up and down. But, if they play like yesterday and improve on last years defensive form he could be very good for points!

My personal thoughts on Southampton and Pelle are that we need to see how Koeman adjusts to the prem. The squad has been rebuilt and it could take a while for things to settle. He isn't even that cheap. I like the rest of the team though.

I've heard Saints fans say Pelle isn't as good as Lambert as an all round player, but he does have a real eye for goal. So if Koeman can get them playing around Pelle so that all he has to do is tap them in, he'll be gold. Big if though and I'm going to wait.

So I would say that it's a nice team but I'd think about downgrading Debuchy (bad fixtures) in order to upgrade Pelle while we find out whether Pelle is worth a bash.

Have you considered finding £0.5m to fund Jovetic for the first gameweek. You can then downgrade to Pelle once you can see if Southampton are looking a decent outfit, or of any of the other cheapish strikers look to be playing well they could slot into your side.

Luis may not start for Chelsea. I don't know anything about Riviere, but if you're confident in his ability! Noble for 5.5 is a bit wasted in my opinion. I'd rather for Hoilett who could be budget option that explodes or use the extra money to get Sigurdsson.

      Hi All,

      My thoughts are as follows

GK - Need to bolster with two rotatable (Krul/Mannone/Foster) options or one significant keeper (i.e Cech/DDG/Scz)

DEF - Will Azpilecueta be guaranteed gametime. Ivanovic may take the starting RB berth, and Felipe Luis the LB. Other than that Chelsea defenders are a great shout.

MID - The strongest element of the team, would not consider any changes, although I would recommend downgrading the Mata rather than Fabregas in this situation as pending United transfers may change their startling XI.

FWD - Two very strong appointments, who could be season fillers. Maybe look at stronger options on the bench if you ever consider a 3rd striker.

      Happy for people to rate my teams, currently have the following two;

      Foster (Krul)
Gibbs Evans Manquillo Filipe Luis (Bruce)
Coutinho Fabregas Ramsey (Ward-Prowse / Wanyama)
      Rooney Giroud Costa

      or

      Foster (Krul)
      Gibbs Evans Shaw Cahill Zabaleta
Mata Fabregas Ramsey (Barry / Wanyama)
      Giroud Costa (Bojan)

    @ROSCOLA

Just some thoughts on creating a better balance and creating some funds.

    Sterling > Henderson
    Zamora > Bojan
    Bartley > Ward
    Azpi > Terry
    Van Aanholt or Chester?

This actually gives you the same team as me. Haha. Terry could be downgraded to free up some spare cash if you are uncertain on their starting lineup. Surely Terry will start though?!

I am looking at the prospect of Terry > Chester allowing Henderson > Eriksen. But I feel the defence becomes far too weak. Terry will have another great season with the odd goal, he is such a threat at set pieces.

        No problem.

I know what you mean, not sure I am either. my thinking at the moment is that he is a certain starter, box to box and there are talks that he has been asked to be more attacking. He has potential to give some fantasy returns this season. Maybe it is too early to tell.

Boruc might lose his spot since saints signed Forster, Albrighton is injured. Use the extra in def or keep it.

    De gea (wilks)

Cahill , Lovren , Debuche (wisdom , Bartley)

Eriksen , hazard , sterling , Mata (JWP)

    Rooney , Bojan , Giroud

It's pretty balanced, but a cheap at top.

How will you get Aguero or Sturridge in when they become essential?

I'd want another premium striker in there. I don't like Lovren - Liverpool's defence isn't that great. Many are saying Debuchy is no go because of fixtures, but I think Arsenal are a team that tends to start well and he definitely looked good in an attacking sense against City yesterday.

This is a problem as want Aguero as soon as playing regularly

Quite hard to find the additional though

        Could go

        Giroud - sturridge
        Sterling - Ramsey
        Lovren - Clyne
        Debuche - 4.5

Solid 7/10. Don't mind the starting team too much. Might be worth finding 0.5 from somewhere to improve you backup defenders a bit. Those 4m options are dodgy to say the least. Consider downgrading Hazard to Fabregas to free up cash.

Just suggesting a way to free up funds, hence the idea of downgrading Hazard. Otherwise downgrading a defender might be another option?

HI Guys - following discussions about formation, I've settled on a 3-4-3. any thoughts?

    Speroni Krul

    Cahill Jones Cameron Chester Bartley

    Fabregas Eriksen Ramsey Snoddy Sigurdsson

    Rooney Dzeko Giroud

Keepers: Good rotation partners, but tempting to save 0.5 on either of them.
Defenders: - Stoke, Hull and WBrom rotate nicely for that 1 spot.
Midfield: Love Snoddy's start to season, maybe not enough big hitters (silva, Haz, Sanchez) Forwards: Too much value without Costa maybe? Could get costa and Bojan in.

So you'll be benching a 6m midfielder every week? - Waste of value if you ask me. Downgrade one and you can upgrade a defender or you could even upgrade Ramsey > Sanchez.

I'm trying a new approach, where everyone costs about the same, so I don't have to rely on 1 or 2 big players every week - what do you think?

    De Gea/Krul
    Kompany/Gibbs/Lovren/Jagielka/Cahill
    Coutinho/Tadic/Sterling/Eriksen/Mutch
    Lukaku/Dzeko/Nugent

TBH its a terrible idea. You have to bench 4 players every week.

You need more big name players like Hazard/Fabregas, Ramsey/Sanchez, Rooney/RVP etc. You definitely need some cheap defenders as well.

The problem with Chambers is that you might have more important transfers to make, so he might stay in your team for longer than you've planned.

      I prefer Ramsey over Silva.

    DDG 4.0
    Luis Ward O'Shea
    Fabregas Mata Erkisen Ramsey
    Rooney Dzeko Giroud

    4.0 defender, 4.0 defender 4.5 midfielder

On this atm. Was thinking of doing Ramsey-Siggy, Fabregas-Hazard and getting in a better defender for one of the 4.0s and popping O'shea to the bench.

    Thoughts?

Hey guys, please rmt please 😉

    Begovic / (Gilks)

Chambers / Shaw / Van Aanholt / (Clyne) / (Neil Taylor)

    Hazard / Ramsey / Mata / Siggy / (Marney)

    Rooney / Sturridge / Fletcher

    bank: 0.5m

After GW1 I am going to do Chambers --> Ward

Would you change Taylor for someone else? Maybe Naughton?

Fletcher is my special punt, I believe is has good value for 5.5m, and he is on PK and is a far better option that Bojan.

    I would appreciate feedback.
