A very respected voice around these parts turned me on to Diouf as a 3rd fwd option to begin the season. He feels Diouf is generally nailed on, Stoke's top striker ahead in the pecking order over Bojan and Crouch.
Yet, not much love from anyone else, and I am seeing in a non FPL version of fantasy that Bojan actually costs more.

I have a long term bias against Stoke attackers. Little expensive too. Could be an inspired choice though with their fixtures.

This may be the 5th preseason Ive chatted on this forum and every year, there are one or two players that explode out of the gate that are virtually not talked about at all. I got a feeling Diouf is the one at Fwd. This isn't Pulis' Stoke anymore. 🙂 Their reputation makes me hesitate too, but those fixtures make me think its worth a shot.

Open ControlsFPL usually get the pecking order right with their prices. Diouf is .5 more. That along with the scouting report from that trusted source have me thinking Diouf will be there much more often than Crouch. Crouch seems like the better bench weapon of the two.

Hiya Fuzzy. I'm a Dioufus as well - he looks like he could be the best bet for discount striker this year. Lots of decent midfielders behind him, good fixtures, fair record in a strong league, Crouch on his last legs etc.

Anyone considering Jovetic? I think if he gets game time he's a bargain. Prolific striker and is in hot pre-season form. With the way he's playing you'd think he'd be favourite over Dzeko, and there are still doubts over Aguero's fitness.
