With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Green Windmill is keeping 1.0 in the bank to address any issue that may arise from the first week’s games or for a rainy day. Is he right to keep this back? He is also open to suggestions to improve his bench and wonders whether Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard may be a risk given his reduced pre-season. Could his team mate Cesc Fabregas be a better choice?

  Have you got anything in the bank? Your forwards look very weak. Jovetic is unlikely to get 45 minutes or more after the first couple of gameweeks. Even if he does, it's better to start with Dzeko as the trade down is easier than the trade up.

  Who is Marney may I ask, I'm assuming he has been abbreviated? Yeah I like the look of the team, you could do the move you suggested by bringing in Chambers for Debuchy for the opening games! Overall a decent side 🙂

  Bony on the bench is bold. Luis isn't nailed on due to competition in the chelsea back line. Isla may prove to be a good differential but I personally prefer Caulker. Noble is again unusual but depends on if West Ham can bring out the offensive style of play Big Sam is promising.

  Dont worry luis is nailed on left back; he has been praised by mourinho and played in majority of pre-season games. He would not have been signed if he was just going to sit on the bench.

Thoughts/comments very much appreciated. Have gone from having both Sanchez and Hazard to having neither but feel alright with it at the moment.

GK: Schmeichel (Krul)
DEF: Jones / Lovren / Ferdinand (Chester / Wisdom)
MID: Ramsey / Fabregas / Silva / Siggy (Marney)
STR: Rooney / Costa / Dzeko

Thanks for any advice you can give.

I'm thinking perhaps Chambers > Ferdinand as a change, but that would tie me in to a change back at some point in the future.

Ok guys, getting closer and closer. This is draft v3.0. What do you think?

ITB 0

I have decided to:
- be fully invested. i.e. keep no money ITB
- have no Chelsea defense as Terry seems to be the only secure option and prefer to have no defenders at >6.0

What I like:
- good rotation at the back
- secure starters with the exception of Wilson but obviously expect him to play GW1
- good rotation SOU and QPR -> option to play 3-4-3 and 3-5-2 for an additional 3m
- sufficient differentials: Silva, Austin, S Davis
- highest expected GW1-6 points from all my drafts based on statistical RMT

What I dont like:
- Wilson might not be playing when Huth is fit
- lack of OOP and penalty takers
- not having Hazard in my team

Could get Hazard in by swapping Taylor/S Davis for Bartley/Isgrove

Looking forward to your thougts (again)

It basically comes down to Eriksen/Jovetic (slightly weaker defence) vs Siggy/Dzeko

Pellegrini:

"I don’t have a big decision to make on Sunday about the goalkeeper. I think that if you want to win something it’s very important you have two good players in each position in our team. I don’t understand why you are always talking about the goalkeeper and not talking about Sagna and Zabaleta, Clichy and Kolarov or Dzeko and Negredo."

I've swapped Jones out for ShawX - until things become clearer regarding Evans' injury. I don't think the United backline is appealing with the current raft of injuries. ShawX is the only nailed on Stoke defender so I'm playin git safe until Hughes' selection becomes more obvious...

I have sacrificed Sterling/Coutinho prospects and also relying on Newcastle's defensive record...
Jovetic I think will start firing, Giroud - altho he isn't prolific, he is a poacher and will reap benefits from Sanchez...

Depends on whether Blackett will play instead of evans for a while or chambers will play a couple of games. Also best options of keepers was thinking Gilks for 4.0 and Krul and Pantilimon for 4.5
