With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for โ€œRate My Teamโ€ (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, weโ€™ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. Weโ€™ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if youโ€™re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute โ€“ the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

The next Fantasy Premier League RMT contender is Green Windmill.

Foster
Terry, Evans, Pieters
Mata, Ramsey, Hazard, Sigurdsson
Rooney, Dzeko, Austin
Subs: Krul, Davis, Ward, Bartley

Green Windmill is keeping 1.0 in the bank to address any issue that may arise from the first week’s games or for a rainy day. Is he right to keep this back? He is also open to suggestions to improve his bench and wonders whether Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard may be a risk given his reduced pre-season. Could his team mate Cesc Fabregas be a better choice?

Feel free to get stuck in with your feedback. We look forward to scanning your RMTs throughout the day on this article.

I'm looking for a 5.0M defender and Stoke fit well with the rest of my squad. Is anyone more nailed on than anyone else in that bracket or is it only Shawcross at 5.5M that's a dead cert?

My udnerstanding is that the competition is as follows:

    Bardsley vs Cameron
    Wilson vs Huth
    Pieters vs Muniesa

I could really do with them playing in GW1.

Any Stoke fans able to opine or anyone with any views?

I went with Bego instead of any Stoke defender. ShawX should be nailed on, Huth is coming back from injury. Bardsley, Cameron, Wilson, Pieters are kind of battling out for the rest of the spots.. and I think not even Huth is nailed on! Which leaves just ShawX at 5.5 or Bego at 5.0.

      Your understanding is correct.

      Shawcross (95% certain)
      Pieters (80% certain)
      Bardsley (66% certain)
      Wilson (66% certain)

For GW1. Beyond that Hughes has said he will rotate the players so expect this to change. My advice? Begovic, Shawcross or nobody.

    RMT

    Courtois(Gilks)

    Mangala,Lovren,Debuchy (Wisdom,Moore)
    Hazard,Mata,Henderson,Young (hoilet)
    Dzeko,D.Costa,Rooney

question is do i downgrade some of my expensive defenders to chambers/Blackett to free up some funds for the midfield?? I'm obviously backing Courtois to win the starting job aswell but i could lose my nerve on that and swap him out for a foster/krul combo

      Mangala is a punt.
Young is good for now but after GW1 you need to ditch him, probably.
      Front 3 is gold.

Courtois not sure to start yet, I would try to get Terry or Cahill as Chelsea defensive cover. Don't really like your 3 big defenders, maybe downgrade Mangala and Lovren to try and get Ramsey instead of Henderson and Young? I would also downgrade Hoilett to a 4.5m mid, don't like attacking money sitting on my bench.

Forget about Hoilett, he is not going to start and will therefore plummet in price. Get a 4.5 like Marney and you can use that to upgrade elsewhere.

Foster+Krul rotation is apparently not good according to some reports. Both teams will concede a lot.

Sunderland defence in season beginning? It's brave. Look at their schedule. I'd go Mannone as cover if he only was nailed on.

3-5-2 is kind of hard to make 3-4-3 when you need that precious forward spot. Other than that good team.

    Hi Folks....

I am on the end of my tether... I have toyed enough at this stage....

I think I am fairly happy with this - any suggestions on where to save the £0.5 that I am over budget?

Not gone on my defense with Debuchy and Lovren having tough games. Considering loosing Vlaar for a £4.0 Defender.

    Begovic / Myhill
    £5.0 £4.0

    Jones Debuchy Lovren Vlaar Pocognoli
    £5.5 £5.5 £5.5 £4.5 £4.5

    Tadic Ramsey Mata Fábregas Besic
    £7.5 £9.0 £9.0 £9.0 £5.0

    Diego Costa Bojan Rooney
    £10.5 £5.5 £10.5

Anyone to RMT? I can do the same in return.

    Option B
    Begovic / Myhill

Shaw , Jagielka, Filipe Luis (Vlaar, Pocognoli)
    ,
    Tadic, Sterling, Mata, Fábregas, (Besic)

    Pellè, Remy, Rooney

    Option C
    GK - Begovic (Myhill)

DEF - Shaw / Baines / Filipe Luis (Vlaar) (Pocognoli)

MID - Herrera / Mata / Ramsey / Fabregas (Besic or Albrighton)

FWD - Diego Costa / Pelle / Bojan

Biggest fear is that a team without Costa and Rooney is starting on the back foot from word go....

    Any help folks greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Not sure about Tadic- id go for puncheon/snodgrass or Henderson and save yourself the 1m.
I am starting with Costa and Rooney for the same reason and am worried that sturridge bandwagon could be one not to miss also. I think pool have difficult fixtures but if last year is anything to go by then scoring away from home wont be a problem. I wonder would sterling be a better option that fabregas for us???

My own team below is not disimilar to your option A- I do have a stronger goalkeeper and cahill as a solid option in defence. I have Lovren - just have that feeling he will score day one and may no ttake him out for season. Would rotate ward in for game 2 as palace have home game.

      Where would you change mine?

      De Gae, Gilks

      Lovren, Cahill, Debuchy,Ward, Hutton

      Mata, Ramsey, Fabregas, Henderson, Albrighton

I know what your saying about sterling but I think Fabregas is a good all rounder - Chelsea are in strong position and with Fabregas capabilities to be involved in everything I feel like hes a keeper...
I had Cahill myself... but would Terry be a more solid option for the same money?
I think your fairly solid with what you have.

Dont know why but Debuchy is putting me off...

You have good coverage of the top flights all the same across your team.

You have the option there of Henderson / Siggy considering pools start isnt the most appealing of them.

Have you anything in the bank? I like the look for Besic. Albrighton for Besic for £0.5 more.

Dont think I've been more undecided in all the years of first team pick... but very excited all the same.

Nothing in the bank unfortunately, ok ya I think will stick with fabregas. One option I was toying with was to change

          Costa Bojan debuchy
          Giroud DZeko and chambers

Which you reckon is better? I don't really like the idea of knowing I have to transfer chambers out soon especially with nothing in the bank. Besic the only thing that puts me off your suggestion is that he's a holding mid

    First post. Please RMT

    Krul/(Foster)
    Jones/Chambers/Wisdom/(Van Aanholt)/(Coloccini)
    Siggy/Nasri/Fab/Gerrard/Mata
    Rooney/Costa/(Jutkiewicz)

+0.5 in bank. Planning to bring in Rambo later.

    My concerns:
    1. My 4.5 defenders. Are there better options.
    2. Chambers? Good idea to have him for the first couple of weeks and then trade him out?
    3. Nasri or Silva?
    4. Jutkiewics? should I up to Fletch or Bojan? could then have one of these two options on instead of siggy for GW1

B is an extremely strong first XI with little to offer from the bench. If you are prepared to use your first few transfers upgrading the bench to players who will definitely play to give cover for your XI, then I would go for B.

Southampton have great opening fixtures and kept CS last season, but have a new manager and their team has been gutted.

Caulker is a goal threat and scored well last year, but I feel QPR are likely to be leaky this year.

Best value striker for 6m imo. Especially to start with. Rotates nicely with a cheap southampton midfielder too

Been stuck on this decision for ast few days. I cureentl have 3 united jnes, mata, rooney which im happy with but also have 3 chelsea ( terry, fabregas and costa), is that too much?

I have two million left over, what would be the best option?

    A) stick with 3 chelsea

    B) get in sterling or erikson for cesc, dont have any liverpool or spurs

    or

    C) get in sturridge for costa

I think a good option might be to use 1m to improve Fab to Hazard for the opening two fixtures. Then get in Sturridge for Costa after GW3.

Of the options you've suggested then I think B is probably the best option right now.

I'd suggest kicking the United defender. Neither LvG or United have a good defensive record (as shown in the pre-seasons). Additionally Evans seems have taken a knock.

Costa is indispensable for me. Chelsea has the best defensive record. Fabregas looks set to make a huge comeback in the premier league. So keeping the 3 Chelsea is fine by me.

do you think wisdom is nailed on?
I am not a fan of Liverpools first 3 games, they are pretty tough. what do you reckon?

    A) Mutch/Henderson + Diego Costa

    B) Eriksen + Dzeko

Mutch is very tempting since he played pretty well already in the last season. now he's playing in a better team and he also rotates pretty well with Siggy and Bojan.

I'm kind of afraid going without Costa considering he's preseason. If he goes flying from the start he will be very hard to adapt in your team later on...

Eriksen and Dzeko are both something I'm not 100% convinced because of Pellegrini's rotation and Eriksen is also a bit uncertain to score points regurarly.

    Rest of the team is:

    Krul / Foster

    Terry / Jones / Ferdinand / Wisdon / Duff

Mata / Ramsey / Hazard / Sigurdsson / Mutch or Eriksen

Rooney / Bojan / Costa or Dzeko

    Any thoughts on this?

I'm not that keen on him either, but seems to be only forward in that price range that can score good points. Also that Siggy - Bojan rotation is a big bonus.

Two 4m defenders is not a good way to go, but I really want to get some Chelsea defender there. If I take Mutch over Henderson that would give an extra 0,5m to spend on defence though.

A for me. Henderson is nailed on and playing further forward in an attacking liverpool team he'll be getting goals and assists. I've gone for him and I'm also looking for a way to maybe fit Mutch into my team as well. What looks best?

      A) Chester, Bartley, Mutch and Ward-Prowse
      B) Caulker, Bartley, Mutch and Boyd
      C) Chester, Caulker, Ward-Prowse and Boyd

My other defenders are Debuchy, Ward and Wisdom and only 1 of the midfielders would be starting. Ideally I'd have Chester, Caulker and Mutch but I can't find an extra 0.5 in my team.

        A) for me man ๐Ÿ™‚

Don't like QPR defence so much at the moment. Rio is like an injury waiting to happen.

I'd leave out Boyd if you have Chester.

        Cheers!

Thanks for that. Yeah Boyd was one of the only 4.5s I could see that could pop up with a goal here or there if he had to come off my bench with other injuries or suspensions. Obviously hes a huge rotation risk and will probably not start the season. Not sure if I want 2 4.0 defenders but I'm also tempted for A. Any other 4.5 mids worth considering?

I would've said Albrighton, but then he got injured didn't he? Nearly impossible to find good nailed on 4.5s at midfield. Good luck though ๐Ÿ˜€

    Please RMT, any advice?

    Courtouis/ Gilks

    Cahill/ Evans/ Chambers or PVA/ Naylor/ Bartley

    Mata/ Ramsey/ Sterling/ Sig/ Mutch

    Costa/ Rooney/ Austin

    Reasoning:

I originally had Begovic in goal with 3 chelsea players of Cahill, Fabregas & Costa. However, I really wanted Sterling in my team as well as I think he will explode this season. By taking out Fabregas for Sterling I was able to bring in Courtouis for Begovic. I think Chelsea will be very strong defensively this season so I'm able to double up there with the attacking cover of Costa. It allows me to fit Sterling into my team who if he carries on his form from the 2nd half of last season, would reach almost 250 points!!!

    What do you all think?
