The Rate My Team Discussion

With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Green Windmill is keeping 1.0 in the bank to address any issue that may arise from the first week’s games or for a rainy day. Is he right to keep this back? He is also open to suggestions to improve his bench and wonders whether Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard may be a risk given his reduced pre-season. Could his team mate Cesc Fabregas be a better choice?

        I would choose young as you have sterling so need for hendo. I would choose either austin or long. Long better fixtures

        Maybe swap Krul for 4m GK that will give you 0.5m spare

        Don't worry about vlaar - if you don't expect too much from him, then he may surprise you once in a while, which is always nice, and if Villa get a clean sheet, he won't be far off bonuses most times I would guess.

        I got the ultimate strikers but I'm struggling to find Man C cover without Dzeko or Jovetic up front

        Bojan or Austin. Half the people on here will say Austin and half Bojan. Austin on paper prob makes more sense as on penalties i believe too. Bojan is living off past reputation and scored a few in preseason to perk people up. Saying that if I was to choose id prob go Bojan lol

          I think he'll start first GW but I'm starting to think is it really worth having him in for a possible one game, seems a tad stupid. He just looks a lot better for 4.5 getting an arsenal defender in than a Chester or a Cameron etc .
