A new beginning. On the eve of a new campaign, two grumpy middle-aged has-beens gather in a studio to recall the summer’s feast of football and look ahead to another Fantasy season, full of hope.

There’s no frills. No live video cast. No special guests. Just Granville and I, stripped back and almost unplugged.

Don’t let that put you off, though. Even with our limited powers we at least attempt to cut through the issues currently rattling around in the minds of Fantasy managers.

We assess the Old Trafford revolution, the world without Suarez and the merits of the three-man strike force. We slice through the current transfer trends and weigh up matters such as the Sigurdsson/Bojan rotation, Fagregas vs Hazard and the Chelsea back four conundrum. We also manage to warm up with a nice little argument about the Alexis Sanchez bandwagon – the traditional pre-season barney.

      just don't like kolorov - poor fixtures and rotation risk - downgrade IMO
      don't like Austin now remy is staying put, but that's just my opinion, go with your gut

      I LOVE the Kolarov pick, but is he nailed on? His attacking threat is second to none and he takes set-pieces also. Overall solid team.

    Can someone tell my why no one has considered Baird from WBA? he is OOP and is nailed (I think) and is 4.0! He has played all pre-season games. Including playing the full 90 in their final pre-season game. Surely he must be nailed! 🙂

                    Predicted returns based on prior team and player stats. Im referring to gw1 based on bookies odds mainly. Pva and siggy to james and aluko is actually the best in theory.

    So Pulis goin has disrupted my triple Palace rotation plan(Dann, Ward and in a few weeks Chester to Mariappa/Kelly) and now i actually gotta do my entire defense again.. Please help me choose between
    A) DDG 4.0

    People on here are underestimating Ward and Kolarov. Ward is versatile and Kolarov attacks like a winger.

    U have a sound argument bit it seems u havent considered the current emphasis on goals in the league thus the 3-5-2, 4-3-3s… Even Big Sam has been instructed to score more goals… Yeah!!!! As such, fewer CS are to be expected this season. U can quote me on that too. iOUT…

    Ok Im going with Wisdom now, though I worry if he doesn't start week 1 I'm gonna lose .1 on him within a week and I don't want to burn a transfer on another low impact 4.0 defender.

    What I am driving at here is-- HEY, Wisdom owners, if he doesn't start Week 1, don't panic and sell him and contribute to an irritating price drop.

        WBA have been terrible in pre-season. But at 4.0 and guaranteed to start for a few weeks I don't think you can go wrong.

        Let's face it, a few weeks into the season your 4.0 fifth defender will be a place holder who you won't want to ever play.

    I cannot decide between Henderson, Snodgrass, Young and Mutch for the first few gameweeks!

    Young is only a short term option, 4 gameweek at most as by then Shaw will be back.

    Henderson - potential as Rodgers want him to move forward more.
