With so many of you seeking advice on their teams before August 16, we thought it would be prudent to run a daily community article to provide a dedicated focus for “Rate My Team” (RMT) requests.

Each day ahead of the new season, we’ll select one of the Fantasy Football Scout team and post up their own RMT request to open up discussion and encourage others to post their own. We’ll turn the comments over to you to provide a useful place for those seeking advice and highlight some of the key decisions under deliberation.

Please nudge those posting RMTs in other articles to visit this daily RMT article. Also, when posting requests, please remember to be courteous to those who take the time to help out. Equally, if you’re an experienced Fantasy manager with some views on initial line-ups, take time out to dip in and contribute – the Fantasy Football Scout team will be doing their upmost to offer their feedback as the discussion develops throughout the day.

Ryan’s biggest concern is his cheap defenders. Any ideas for improvement there? Is he right to spend so much on Ivanovic or to trust in Stevan Jovetic replicating his preseason form?

      Defensive seems a bit weak IMO
      Love the midfield And forward line
      But personally I would Downgrade fab to sterling and then try and get loris/de gea/szceny in

    Its a good team mate. I would prefer Begovice over speroni but if you are happy with speroni then he's better then fost/krul.

        Yeah that's my plan Chester for Chambers.... Might start with an alternative 4m def to Brice so it does not double up on Hull...

        Your team looks about there mate, I'd consider Luis to a 4.5m def and then upgrade a striker to Diego Costa? Personal preference tho!

    Is the consensus that Bruce is nailed on for at least the first few gwks? or is Chester a safer option and worth the extra 0.5?

      Same dilemma for me, 0.5m is a lot of money at this stage so I think I'm going to go Bruce as either would be on the bench anyway. May get Chester in when Chambers drops back to the bench when Mert returns

      Chester safer, but Bruce is decent 4.0mil option if you'll be mainly using them on the bench. If you're planning on playing him, i'd stick with chester.

      I think arsenal coverage is crucial, so getting rambo in might be better. I would also be tempted to downgrade you GK's to upgrade jones to a chelsea defender. Otherwise looks decent, and different to other teams.

    My question is, should I keep Barkley and potentially swap him out GW 2 for Siggy, as Siggy has 2 good home fixtures, while benching Figueroa. Or keep Siggy on bench for 1st week and play 4 at at the back with Figueroa?
