Last season’s top two go head-to-head at the Etihad this evening as Gameweek 2 is brought to its conclusion. Both City and Liverpool go in search of a second successive win, allowing Fantasy managers the chance to assess our options in midfield and attack, with Raheem Sterling, David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Daniel Sturridge looking to get amongst the goals once again.

Aguero remains on the bench for City, however, as Manuel Pellegrini makes just one change from the side that defeated Newcastle last Sunday. The City boss hands Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko the chance to lead the line again, then, whilst Pablo Zabaleta is drafted in at right-back, with Gael Clichy swapping over to the other flank as Aleksandar Kolarov drops out.

Brendan Rodgers makes a couple of alterations to the XI that started against Southampton last time around. New signing Alberto Moreno is handed a debut at left-back, with Glen Johnson shifting to the right of defence as Javier Manquillo drops out. Elsewhere, Joe Allen comes in for Lucas in the centre of the park.

No because Aguero wasn't on the pitch for Jovetic's.

Jovetic had no part to play in Aguero's tonight and wasn't on the pitch for his goal vs Newcastle.

Should be a fun race between City and Chelsea this year. Have fun playing for third, everyone else!

Same. Better back four (five with Luis). Chelsea, City, Arsenal top 3 for me. Want to say Everton 4th since I'm a supporter but, right now at least, it looks very open for Pool, Utd and Spurs too.

What I like about Liverpool is they have so many British players. They are normally highly entertaining as well. Last season was perfect. So close yet the best of failures 😀

I'm still in the wondering why I even play FPL stage.

But I already made one transfer. I'm not taking a hit to dump Dzeko.

I don't think so. If Aguero is 100% fit he will be starting every game, and Dzeko/Jove will be rotating. Now the question is do we try Rooney -> Kun?

Would also involve swapping Dzeko -> cheap forward Naismith. And I've got issues in defence as well .... this GW turns out to be a major headache!

Same here. Not really excited about Naismith. I could do Rooney/Dzeko for Aguero/Naismith with no hits. Was hoping to get rid of Begovic this week, but suppose I could wait on that (even though Stoke have MC away next week).

Chances of fernandinho coming on instead of Kolarov for last sub?

If so hutton off my bench and with Jovetic as my only other interest in this game, would be ideal scenario

Rooney, Terry and Dzeko to Aguero, Rose and Adebayor?

This is very knee jerky of me so maybe I'll wait before doing it as I didn't want to take any hits early on but i don't want the Aguero express to take off without me.
