    Good Morning Peeps...

    What transfer would you recommend for this lot?

    Krul, Foster
    Jones, Coloccini, Caulker, Wisdom, Moore
    Hazard, Ramsey, Mata, Sigurdsson, Marney
    Costa, Rooney, Adebayor

    Thanx in advance!

      If you have 0 or 1 free transfer save it
      If you have 2 free transfers, Jones to Clyne. Caulker out soon

    My team:

    De Gea (Gilks)
    Cahill Debuchy Clyne (Wisdom Bruce)
    Mata Hazard Siggy Ramsey (Elmohamady)
    Costa Rooney Naismith

    1FT / 0.4 in the bank.

    1) Debuchy --> 4-4.1M (Any suggestion?)
    Costa --> Aguero

    2) Debuchy --> 4-4.1M
    Rooney--> Aguero

    3) Mata --> 7-7.5M (Tadic, Cabella?)

    4) Save it and cry

    we need to chill out speculating the united starting 11 and system

    no matter who posts a predicted line up its met with and where does he fit in? why is he there ? why is he on the bench he cost this amount or that amount

    its a squad game u only have to look at the subs benches at city and chelsea week in week out to realise that the most dominant sides have top quality all over the park and on the bench

    not many are gunna play every game.. rotation paricularly in attack for united with the likes of rooney rvp di maria januzaj mata will all feature heavily at different times and in different roles

    thats before u mention kagawa welbeck hernandez who may or may not have futures...

    the major problem lies in the centre of the park.. personally i felt physically sick watching fletcher and cleverly on sunday and enough is enough.. neither are capable of one protecting a young defence that badly needs it or two providing accurate and incisive forward passes to our forwards

    its a sad sad day when i looked at sunderlands midfield of cattermole rodwell and seb larsson and thought actually id have any of them in our team ahead of cleverley and fletcher

    its screaming out for a vidal and failing him alex song would be my pick big strong quick mobile tough tackling everything that carrick isnt actually and an eye for a pass

    someone of that nature alongside herrera who btw i think will be top drawer and we will be such a stronger team and more effective all over the park

    just pray LVG is thinking along these lines im sure he is

      • 14 Years

      Absolutely this. Their midfield is inept and has little creativity or confidence moving forward. Forwards back looking for the ball. Herrara is a great pick up and Vidal would be huge for Utd

        alex song would be available for around 10 mil knows the premier league has all the attributes id go as far as to say he'd maybe be my first choice or why not get him and try for vidal too

        it was pathetic mate fletcher couldnt even bring the ball under control and cleverly gave the ball away if he tried anything other than a 5 yard pass to either side or back to one of the cbs

        iv been watching this shit long enough its destroying our whole team

      2. theloveburglar

        im sick of looking at carrick tbh

        people go on about how much of an understated job he does and his positional sense is amazing in the right place to intercept and all this bs.. that maybe so but thats only because he cant move he's far too slow takes too long on the ball and then more often than not gets closed down and is dispossesed against the top teams and is forced into a backwards pass iv seen enough.. iv no objection to having him around the squad on the bench to use in home games were we are on top but he's over run out muscled and goes missing against every top team with strong dynamic midfielders

        herrera on the other hand looks quality composed on the ball not scared to put his foot in can driblle and always looking to get the ball forward

    Are there any FFS old campaigners here who consistently have taken hits over the years and still had high overall rankings?

    How many hits is acceptable in a season and how many is unacceptable?

    I only took 3-4 hits for the entirety of last season and still finished reasonably highly so am not an advocater of them.

      Fwiw my best finish was 78th and I was taking hits almost every week. Success breeds confidence though, I was feeling it and getting most spot on. Since then I lost my touch for it and now play more conservatively.
      There is no right answer to your question. Spending points is just gambling. Sometimes you'll see odds that can be exploited

      found a great article on this. Analysed in massive detail players who have finished in the top 10,000 for the last 3 years.
      Say the average transfers per season for top 10,000 player is 47. Guess that equates to 9 points hits. Actual, 11 thinking about wild cards

      Sterling is pick of them for me, but Sturridge should be good also. Smh at people that traded either of them.

      Sturridge and Sterling were good today. Studge really unlucky not to get on the score sheet.

      Sterling looks better value than Sturridge and way more points potential than Henderson. I'm not quite ready to captain sterling which is his one draw back though may change my mind if he keeps producing

    Still can't get over United spending £60m on Di Maria. £60m!! It just reeks of sheer desperation. Watching that farce against Sunderland it's plain to see Cleverley and Fletcher were simply terrible. Herrera looked alright against Swansea but even if he turns out to be brilliant he wouldn't be able to do it on his own in the middle. £60m! he isn't worth 40. Why aren't they going for Khedira, an obvious choice. Why weren;t they interested in Kroos. Why aren't they linked with Strootman. Why is Shane Long worth £12m and why does Samaras have a premier league club.

    World's gone mad.

      In todays's market no one is actually worth what they are payed like luiz,bale,james,shaw.
      Id rather overpay for a worldclassplayer like di maria then play valencia,young,. Plus we lacked a world class winger sine the days of ronaldo and dimaria will bring much needed pace and spark.

      A) He is worth more than 40mill, yes we payed 10 or so million over the odds but really, why should the fans care

      B) We should go for Khedira

      C) We were interested in Kroos, he chose Real

      D) We are interested in Strootman

      Now list the better players in di Maria's position. 🙂

      Good luck - I'm expecting a big list I presume?

        A better list to write is Man U's 3 center backs for Saturday and their statring midfield midfield

    Arnie is killing me... I'm not sure what to do with him. I don't have any transfers or anything in the bank. What is your opinion? He has already dropped once and will drop again soon. Stick or worth it taking a hit to get him out?

    My team is:

    Krul Elliott

    Lovren Debuchy Jones Wisdom Kelly

    Hazard Mata Ramsey Siggy Arnie

    Naismith Rooney Costa

    Appreciate your thoughts on this lot:

    Krul, foster
    Terry, Jones, Ferdinand, Wisdom, Chester
    Mata, Ramsey, Eriksen, Siggy, Marney
    Rooney, Costa, Dzeko

    Have 2 FTs, nothing in the bank

    thinking about
    1. Downgrading Jones to a 4.5, maybe N.Taylor? - I know about Man U fixtures but dun think much about their defence

    2. Upgrade Eriksen? or switch to Lamela - eventually I want one of Hazard or Fab

    3. Will wait for news on Dzeko - will swap him for Jovetic/ Ade if needed?

      Jones to Ntaylor and Ferdinand to Colo.

      leave you 1m? use that later for upgrade

        I have Krul for newcastle cover, happy with that for now.

        Yah will probably do the Jones transfer this week and wait for Dzeko news.

      1. Coloccini ahead of Naylor for mine, based on Toon fixtures.
      2. Keep Eriksen
      3. Best to wait on confirmation RE: Dzeko

      Quality side otherwise.

        I have Krul for newcastle cover now.. you think it's worth it to double up with Colo?

        Yah will wait on Dzeko news

    2m and a FT. Should I be keeping Dzeko if he is confirmed to play? Tempted to bring in Balotelli for him, no matter the price.

    Begovic
    Kelly - Clyne - PvA
    Eriksen - Mata - Siggy - Ramsey
    Dzeko - Costa - Rooney

    Gilks -- Marney - Ferdinand - Chester

      What makes you think that balotelli will slot right into the starting XI. They have a core of players playing together like sterling.sturridge,coutinho,hendo,gerrarrd and rodgers will not want to ruin their chemistry. Think ballo will be eased in.

      Aren't you tempted to get in a Chelsea mid?

      Hmm I would probably try to get in Colo for newcastle's fixtures coming up

      Sanchez won't play upfront IMO... he had zero presence in the box v Everton...

      0 touches in the box out of 26 total... which is why he got hauled off...
