With cheque books fluttering on the eve of the transfer window slamming shut, our Fantasy seasons could be transformed by some notable new arrivals. In this week’s ScoutCast episode, Granville and I chew over the latest fresh faces to crash the player list – United’s “Angel” Di Maria and Liverpool’s “Devil” Balotelli.

With just a single point between us and the comfort of top 100k placings, my co-host and I are more than just a little content as we the rule over the current bandwagons and preview another weekend’s action. It won’t last.

Bed yourself in via this link, or get acclimatised via the handy player below…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Starting XI for GW 3:

    Krul
    Terry Clyne Caulker
    Eriksen Mata Siggy Rambo (c)
    Rooney Costa Jovetic

    Foster Hutton Marney Chester

    1ft, 0.6 ITB

    A) Eriksen > Sterling (Eriksen's falling tonight, just enough cash ITB to do it)

    B) Roll-over FT and have 2 for the international break

    1. The Wayfarer
      • 12 Years

      A) Hang on to it I'd say. Can't see Sterling getting much more than Eriksen this week (And I own Sterling!)

      Hmm, A is tempting, but Eriksen has a couple of decent fixtures as well. I'd say hold on, injuries could well strike over the break.

          Record by of LVG's choosing.
          Inherited player who may be sacrificed to accommodate said record buy.

          Long term, Di Maria's the only winner. Mata is (potentially) a loser.

                Yes, I know. But I don't see why that would be a detriment to Mata.
                It will benefit him imo. Playing with creative players such as himself.

                  • 12 Years
                  11 years, 3 months ago

                  Currently, the team is built to fit him in #10 and two up top. If they move to 4-3-3 to suit ADM, it will make things worse for Mata. That's all.

    I suppose having Hutton (HUL) coming in for Costa on the chance he doesn't play isn't too bad at all... At least with the recent news we know Costa will 100% be back after the international break, and good chance he'll play on the weekend.

    I have made a spreadsheet that analyses players and helps you identify which are the best players to pick regarding form and value for money. It also shows you all scorers and assisters and what team they done it against. In addition it has all the results to date and all goals conceded.

    It is totally upto date and I will try my best to keep it that way throughout the season.

    Please feel free to use my spreadsheet and provide feedback or suggestions on how it could be improved or any errors you may find. I am also happy to answer any questions if you are unsure of something.

    You can access it here: https://www.zoho.com/docs/login.html

    ======================================
    The tabs that will be of interest are:

    GK Calculations, Defender Calculations, Midfielder Calculations, Forward Calculations, Goals Assists, Conceded, My Team [monitors your team each week] & Results

    ======================================

    In the GK calculations, Defender Calculations, Midfielder Calculations & Forward calculations you will see a table with all the players.

    The columns in the table are:

    1. PPG = Points Per Game - Shows the average points a player gets each game.
    2. PPM = Points Per Million - Shows how many points a player gets for each million pound you spend - allows you to see who is good value for money and compare to other players
    3. PPMPG = Points Per Million Per Game - Shows how many points a player scores each game for each million pound you spend. - I feel this is a better indicator of who is best value for money.
    4. Points 4 Weeks = Points scored over last 4 game weeks - this helps you identify the most inform players over the last 4 weeks
    5. Performance Indicator = Shows if a player is below the average key performance indicator (low), above average but below high key performance indicator (average) and above high key performance indicator (high)

    ==================================================================
    You use these tables to help identify a pool of good players to pick from and then you check the fixtures to see who to pick. You can also use these tables to see if your current players are performing well and if not you should ship them out. Ideally you want to have a full team of people who have high performance and good fixtures.
