Angel di Maria could be set for his United debut this weekend. Bojan Krkic returns to full training after recovering from a knock. James Collins joins the Hammers’ injury list after sustaining a hamstring injury, while Wilfried Zaha could be set to turn out for Palace if his loan deal is sealed in time.

Angel di Maria could be poised for his United debut at Burnley after joining from Real Madrid on Tuesday, though compatriot Marcos Rojo is unlikely to receive a work permit in time. Shinji Kagawa sustained concussion in the cup loss at MK Dons and looks set to miss out, with Louis van Gaal stating United now have 10 injured players as they head to Turf Moor.

Bojan Krkic has returned to full training after missing Stoke’s midweek cup match. Mark Hughes is without Geoff Cameron, though, while fellow right-back Phil Bardsley is a doubt – the summer signing has failed to train all week with a knee problem.

Mikel Arteta and Kieran Gibbs remain sidelined with injury as Arsenal head to Leicester. Arsene Wenger has also confirmed that keeper David Ospina in back in full training but is likely to miss out on the clash against Nigel Pearson’s Championship winners.

Sebastien Pocognoli (thigh) is a doubt for West Brom’s trip to Swansea with a thigh problem. Victor Anichebe is expected to recover from a groin complaint, whilst Gareth McAuley, James Morrison and Cristian Gamboa are all in the squad after featuring in the midweek cup clash with Oxford.

Sam Allardyce has confirmed James Collins has picked up a hamstring injury and is out of the Hammers’ home match against Southampton, while new boy Diafra Sakho is a doubt with a back problem.

The Saints, meanwhile, have a near fully-fit squad to choose from, with only wide man Lloyd Isgrove, along with long-term absentee Jay Rodriguez, ruled out by Ronald Koeman.

Cheick Tiote remains out for Newcastle’s home encounter with a hamstring problem. Jack Colback has recovered from the knock that saw him miss the Capital One Cup clash with Gillingham and, along with young winger Rolando Aarons, is in the Magpies’ squad.

Harry Redknapp has revealed Charlie Austin – who missed out last week with a hamstring problem – will be assessed again today before deciding whether the frontman can return to training. Alejandro Faurlin is set for an extended period on the sidelines after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the midweek cup loss to Burton Albion.

Wilfried Zaha looks poised for his Palace debut bow at Newcastle after rejoining the club on a season-long loan deal yesterday. Joe Ledley could be set to miss Palace’s trip to Newcastle with the groin problem sustained in the warm-up prior to last week’s loss to West Ham. Scott Dann is in with a chance of recovering from a thigh knock, though.

            WC played...

            Krul (Elliot) ----> No changes

            Yoshida / Hutton / Azpilicueta (Dummet, Wisdom) ----> Lovren, Caulker , Bruce out

            Fabregas / Mata / Ramsey / Sterling / Siggerdson -----> Hazard out

            Jovatic / Rooney (Naismith) ----> Costa , Bojan out

            3.3 mill Banked to either put Costa back in or Aguero & poss change Mata to Di Maria.

            If Costa misses this weekend, it might make him worth keeping - being dropped by many before Swansea (Home) could be a mistake.

            While we're at it, Thomas Kroth, Shinji Kagawa's adviser, has arrived at Borussia Dortmund's headquarters.

            I'd really love Kagawa to get back to his former glory, although being a confidence player, he'll probably need a while to readjust to being used properly.

                I fancy City to run riot on the arsenal defence too. Jov and aguero up to with silva yaya nasri behind them, them 5 could become fixture proof. Jov at 8m could be a season keeper if he keeps his place which he should

            Cahill/Ntaylor/WISDOM*/Moore(Ars)/CHESTER*
            Will play 3 in defence but if Wisdom and Costs dont start will hav to do with Moore+Marney(inj).
            So is Wisdom nailed or i should do Wisdom~>Betrand for (-4)?
            Cheers Guys

            I don't see why people think De Jong is the good option in the budget midfield market. Newcastle, along with QPR, are the only teams to have not scored a goal yet! Surely that's reason enough to stay away from any Newcastle attacking option until they get their striker situation sorted! And to add to that, their only goal in the midweek league cup tie came from an own goal. You get no points for looking promising in a game, much rather get someone worth under 6/6.5 and use the money elsewhere.

              They haven't scored yet because De Jong hasn't been playing 🙂

                I'm sure he'll add some quality but doesn't count for much if Riviere and Cabella aren't capable of finishing any chances created.

              I think de Jong will be good this season but agree we have not seen enough to justify the 7m and a transfer, despite the great fixtures

              it's only been 2 matches, and they weren't the easiest. I fancy Newcastle to do well this season but it always takes a couple of games at least for so many new players to adjust to playing together

                Agreed, which is why I think De Jong should only be considered if and when they get their form together.
