With the first international break of the season already underway, we scour the Premier League treatment rooms to assess the players who picked up injuries over the weekend action.

Arsenal
Laurent Koscielny was withdrawn midway through the first-half of yesterday’s trip to Leicester after sustaining a head injury. Arsene Wenger reckons the Frenchman “should be alright” in a week, while the Gunners boss also revealed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (calf) and Mesut Ozil (ankle) picked up problems in the 1-1 stalemate.

Aston Villa
Skipper Ron Vlaar was subbed off due to a calf complaint in Villa’s win over Hull, Paul Lambert has confirmed.

Chelsea
Oscar was unavailable for the Blues’ trip to Everton in Saturday evening after being ruled out with an ankle problem. Eden Hazard has since pulled out of the Belgium squad with a “small injury”.

Crystal Palace
Marouane Chamakh is set to be sidelined for a month with the hamstring problem picked up during the weekend draw at Newcastle. Fellow forward Dwight Gayle was also withdrawn at St James’ Park after sustaining an ankle knock but is expected to be fit in time for Gameweek 4.

Everton
Similar to Chelsea’s Hazard, Romelu Lukaku has also withdrawn from international duties for Belgium due to a small injury.

Man City
Summer signing Fernando was subbed off during the first half of Saturday’s home loss to Stoke with a groin problem, Manuel Pellegrini admitted post-match.

Man United
Initial reports suggested Juan Mata was replaced with three minutes remaining of United’s draw at Burnley with a hamstring problem. Louis van Gaal has since stated the Spaniard was withdrawn due to cramp. The Red Devils’ boss also confirmed Angel di Maria was subbed off as a precautionary measure after sustaining a knock on his calf.

Newcastle
Newcastle right-back Daryl Janmaat was withdrawn with just three minutes left of Saturday’s clash against Palace after picking up a knock.

Stoke
Peter Odemwingie was forced off with a knee problem just 20 minutes after appearing off the bench in the Potters’ win at City.

Tottenham
Danny Rose was withdrawn midway through the second-half of yesterday’s home loss to Liverpool with a leg problem.

you are saying it's a dreadful window? Please expand. Signing sanchez and selling vermaelan for 15m, getting almost £15m for fabregas moving to chelsea and vela going permanently to sociedad.

Also signing young english striker welbeck

            il expand

there are gaping holes all the way down the spine of that arsenal team

their keeper is gash in now way world class

per mertesacker turns like a tractor and is ripped up every big team they come across liverpool putting 5 past them chelsea and city putting 6 past them last season confirm this

they also lack a midfielder of any steel whatsoever and persist with small technically gifted but weak midfielders.. see the almost yearly defeats to the likes of stoke and anyone else who decide to use their physicality to bully them as arsenals midfield curl up into a little ball

in the name of christ united took 4 points off ur lot last season in our worst season in near 25 years

This whole deadline day made me play with my WC and try to squeeze in Welbz. My front 8 is very nice, shame I can't fit them all in on the pitch!

The Daily Mail has the two below headlines right on top of each other

"FALCAO LIVE: £12m loan striker in United medical after agreeing staggering £290,000-a-week wages to link up with Van Gaal"

"Falcao snubs City and Arsenal to agree £300,000-a-week United deal"

Is there no editorial team doing quality control on their site?

Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City were all offered him, and they snubbed him due to price and injury concerns.

wildcarders are going to have to take few shots in the dark on some players I think

At 6.9 Welbeck perfect for the third striker spot. Cheaper than Bony and co.
If only those fixtures were better.

    Team Belgium so far:

    Manager: Shipstontrev
    Capatain: 4vets
    Vice Captain: Gnu
    A Defender's Nightmare
    Grounderz
    Sarnab
    Emperikal
    Colonel-Shoe
    Doosra

The original Belgium 5 survive from last summer's 3rd place (I think) WC competition and are massively strengthened with new signings.

You know we're good. You know you want to join us 🙂
