Sounds like a good move to me. Change a guy who has scored 2 goals in 3 matches for a player that havent scored a single goal or provivded a single assist.

      Excellent move. Gogogo

I'm sat with 2 FTs and a team of

    Szczesny Given
    Skrtel Coloccini Debuchy Vlaar Wisdom
    Hazard Ramsey Mata Sigurdsson Cattermole
    Jelavic Dzeko Rooney

Considering either Mata/Dzeko -> Sterling/Costa or wildcarding to this lot.

    Krul Begovic
    Ivanovic Bertrand Janmaat Vlaar Wisdom
    Fábregas Ramsey Sterling Sigurdsson Cattermole
    Jelavic Diego Costa Rooney

Thinking just the transfers are probably best and saving the WC til later and I can take a -4 for the next two gameweeks to make other changes. Any thoughts?

What say you all? Contemplating making the following moves for an 8 point hit:

    Mata -> Sterling
    Rooney -> Aguero
    Jovetic -> Welbeck

    Krul
    Terry Clyne PvA
    Ramsey Fab Siggy Sterling
    Costa Aguero Welbz

    Subs: Gilks Moore Hutton Marney

If it's to get Aguero it could work, personally I wouldn't want to lose Jovetic.

Can't afford Aguero unless I move someone in addition to Mata/Roon. Feel like Dzeko/Aguero will be the starting 2 going forward.

    Krul, Boyd, Taylor, Wisdom

Champions League ties are midweek, between GW4 and GW5.
Anyone worried about reduced game time in GW4 for some of the FPL big hitters?
After all, that is one of the reasons why the leading teams have big squads.

I can't see Costa playing 3 games in a week. After the hamstring scare.

    I am currently on Wildcard

Do we, I mean you, not the casuals - think, long term, Caulker is a good pick?

He is a new player in a new team, surely we can forgive a slow start - but the stats suggest that he is the real deal.

Obviously the great unwashed are dumping him and his price is dropping. At what price is he worth picking up if he keeps dropping?

    1. Costa in Wengerland

His stats are impressive but until QPR look to gave settled with their flurry of new players, I'm staying well-clear of Caulker. If his price continues to drop I'll consider re-buying him when QPR enter a solid run of fixtures or when they show some form.

      He'll be a bargain at ~4.5

Alexis will surely start as the lone striker, with Welbeck easily and carefully worked into the side. From GW8 he'll be a profitable FPL choice, but until then I can't see the excitement over him.

        • 12 Years
        11 years, 3 months ago

Don't see it as a sure thing at all. Sanogo started last game, and Podolski came on later. The Sanchez striker experiment isn't working out too well.

Chile are playing in Mexico on Friday night and then at home to Haiti early Wednesday morning Sanchez has a lot of flying to do before a lunch time kick off on Saturday expect Welbeck to start regardless

Remember that Sanchez has a late game with Chile only a few days before the game against City, so he may not even start if he plays the whole game for Chile (Not very likely, but Wenger is not afraid to bench players that don't seem fully fit, especially at the start of the season). I reckon Welbeck will start at top and Sanchez at the right, because Arsenal needs movement on top and Sanogo is still not good enough. Welbeck has experience as a hard working lone forward versus bigger teams, and has even scored against City before (FA cup).

FPL towers just read your post and have now proceeded to giving pat on the backs and high fives to the mastermind behind the new price system.

Seriously though, it's clear that FPL have decided to take the advantage of price prediction sites away by withholding the data with which predictions are made and by changing the algorithm.

Is mata- Di Maria worth a -4 hit this week? I know it's good for the long run, but should I wait until GW4 is over to get di Maria without any subtraction from total?

He quickly became my favorite player in the French squad. Well said mate, he also shows a lot of confidence at his age and he is a fighter. He gets tackled quite a lot in the midfield but still has a lot of skills to get unmarked.

Have you noticed how many forwards when on a break away, pass the ball to a colleague badly, forcing him wide so his only only alternative is to pass it back?

How does this WC team look?

          Krul/Begovic

          Caulker-Clyne-Wisdom-PvA-Coloccini

          Di Maria-Ramsey-Sterling-Siggy-Bentaleb

          Welbeck-Costa-Sturridge

            Honestly? Not very good.

            No fabregas
            Below average backline
            Welbeck (schedule)

3 crucial things that should be changed imo

Wellbeck (Nap)...handicap snip @ £6,9m. Every player has his price and by Christ he's got his.

Yes, I know he's a donkey. However, I reckon if I was priced at £5m and asked to poach goals at the Emirates, I would be included in 66% of teams.

I'm planning on doing Mata to Sterling, but want to hold off until as late as possible (preferably until after the next England match). Total FPL has Mata on -63%, FPL Statistics has him on -94%.

          How do we believe?
