I honestly don't think Suarzez was a very good pick last year. there were many more strikers that were better to have during the second half of the year, and if you had Kuyt, you didn't need him.
He's a great player but there are better striker options imo. I've currently got Carroll penciled in.

Looks great only worry is lack of Chelsea coverage. Which burnt me at this time last year.
If malouda starts and there is some glimmer of hope as to who plays more than 60 mins between Malouda/Torres/Drogs, I'll throw in some Chelsea. I have a less balanced squad option of swaping out bent for Rodellega, Baines for Bramble, and then Silva can become Lamps. Same thing can be thrown around for a VDV and Malouda midfield.

The Aguero news excites me (about Man City agreeing a fee). Saw him play at an Athletico Madrid game a couple of seasons ago in Spain. His link up play with Forlan was incredible. My immediate thoughts were that he would do well in the premiership. Plays a kind of Rooney type role...gets into good positions, happy to set up others and can score himself. He looked stocky then as well...stayed on his feet alot.
I hope he's less than 10m....I suspect he'll come in at 10.5m. I'll give him a game to see, but believe me he is a seriously good player and firmly on my watch list.
Ya same here. With City rotating fixtures of indifference, nice home middle/tough away I can play the JD "wait and see " tactic.
He probably will need small bit of time to settle , and some fitness as he aint training at minute.
Excellent player though.
If Tevez leaves and Aguero joins, he will definitely be in my starting team.

Too much money in GK, I think. Pick one to start virtually every week, pick a 4/4.5 keeper, and apply the difference in midfield.
Where's your captain? I'd also drop Colo/Bards to two 4.0s and apply all your money to Ethers 9in order to get a captain prospect > Silva, VDV, Lampard ... someone.
I know it's a no-touch, year-long league, but I think you dumped more money on subs than I would do. Get a solid 11 with 3 basement-priced players who play.

Since there's no changes I'd get rid of those who get injured of aren't certain starting 11 - Clichy, Anderson and Zamora.
I agree with K.E with too much in gk, personally I think I'm going Given/Schwar which most on here would still consider expensive, but to me seem solid.

Zamora is a risk ... my thiking was his opening fixture are so good I'll shoot ahear and my rivals will quite ...

He is a safe(ish) starter but around champions league games there could be rotation. Clichy that is.
Zamora gets a few injuries so seems risky season long. If Anderson gets the gametime he could be great this season, towards the end of last season he seemingly came on as a player. But if his form dips even slightly he could easily be rotated which would make him too risky season long.
For a season long team it's all about trying to finish the gambles so you are assured a more or less constant. This is why Bent is a decent option as he's been consistently decent if never spectacular.

The lack of detailed information on this ea sports index is killing. I love playing the stats and there just aren't any available. Top 100 doesn't mean anything. If someone is steady Eddie and plays each week they are going to be high on the list but potentially never receive any bonus points. So frustrating. Has anyone found anything more useful than the summary on the premier league website?

Its very different from everyone else's but i'm not sure i'd feel comfortable with Dawson, Cahill or even Riise really at their prices. Kelly probably wont be a regular either by the time the season kicks off.
Benayoun maybe a good pick but pretty risky at the moment. Jarvis is ok but better options at the price and tends to only be good at home. Brunt isnt on penalties anymore and Dyer is ok but if strucutured right your team shouldnt need to go that cheap. Forwards are good but i'd be tempted by to swap Gyan for a cheaper option and upgrade your midfield.

I would consider getting holt instead of graham, sinclair should be enough swansea cover until we see more ofthem.
Also you wont be able to get the big hitters (rooney,rvp, tevez)into your team straightaway.
Yep 442 mostly but i wont be nervous to go 3-5-2 which is my prefered option. I prefered holt but i've already squeezed out every penny so not even 0.5 spare.
Im not going to make a transfer the 2nd week so if i need to get a big hitter in i'll swap one of Malouda or VDV depending on who's struggling with probably Bent.

Couple of things...
Baines - not solid on £8m for a defender Ashley cole is 0.5m less and has better fixtures?
I also have Kompany, and Hughes (Bargins IMO)
VDV - Have you looked at T.Cahill (Tasty fixtures and £1m less)
With the baines-cole and vdv to cahill you have enough to upgrade malouda to lampard (pens/freekicks/corners)
Bent and Suarez I do like - I assume RVP in GW4?
Good and well considered suggestions Y45. Ta. With the Baines Vs. Cole debate. I kinda flip it and think for only 0.5 more I get a player who regularly assists, scores the old open play goal and is on penalties plus in the new bonus system should do well, i think.
Cahill is an interesting shout, i'd not even considered him. He's certainly under the radar of a lot of people. I went for Arteta last year and got royally burned but i still hold the opinion that he's very hot or cold. VDV will nearly always get you something and is a viable captain choice. I'd never feel that way about Cahill.
Malouda to Lampard though would indeed be nice.....Mmm food for thought indeed.

Nice team, just a thought though, couldn't you downgrade Enrique to Simpson, then get in Lamps for Malouda?? Suarez also a slight worry (will he, won't he start the season).
i dont see need for both enrique and jagielka in that price range. lose one of them and upgrade Moses or save it for funding RVP in. Other than that very well balanced
